Hudson River Radio dot Com. This is Travis Walton and you are listening to UFO Headquarters, beautiful Headquarters. And hello everyone, welcome to another exciting episode. We are live once again. Mike. We are all listen to the crowd. We are at the famous Pine Bush UFO Fair having a great time. It's finally a beautiful day. Yes, and we have an awesome, awesome crowd listening to us. Because yes, they're just like us. They love this Stu. I love this though. All right, So you have
cop sightings. I believe I do. I do, and I'm sure most of our listeners know that I am a retired police officer. I did do twenty two years. The bulk of that service was as an investigator detective, so I do know a little bit about investigating. Yeah, the people on television, yes, exactly, thank you. I didn't have to say at this time. But I did have homicides and stuff, and I did retire as a sergeant. And I'm going to start with a Port Jervis sighting.
So this is going to be my hometown and I'm going to actually read directly to you from the police blotters of the time. I can't tell you how extremely rare it is to get anything official from a police department about anything paranormal, let alone a UFO. Can you just explain what a blotter is so a blotter, especially back I'm going to be in the sixties where big bounds the ledger books basically with numbered pages, and they would just basically write everything
they did that day, you know, starting at six o'clock am. You know, crossed missus Smith at the intersection, handled accident, you know, someone called about a barking dot. Actually it's funny when I read him, they yield the same nonsense that I dealt with for twenty two years. Nothing's changed, just a different level. But it was basically everything that happened, and then the officers would come in if they handled something, and they would
write what they did. Did they write a ticket, did they handle a burglary? Call? Very sophisticated system. Now it's all replaced by computers. Port Jervis I believe goes back to the nineteen twenties, which is so rare up until the seventies when they switched to a different format. So when Linda first contacted me, she saw a reference to it right in a newspaper article. I'm like, I'm going to the blotters, and so I am going to read to you directly from the blotters, and I'm going to mention an
officer quite a bit at the time. His name was Frank Massinatti, and I just want you to know a little bit about the man that is reporting some of this because he was a no nonsense cop. He was an eighty veteran of World War Two, so he probably knew a little bit about what he was seeing. No nonsense, very serio, used to straightforward on the job. Off the job a gooster, but on the job now very smart.
He rose to the ranks, became a sergeant, and then when he became chief, he had the chief he had like one of the highest stores scores in the state. So very smart man. He was chief for a long time. I talked to his family. He never mentioned it to him, but they said that this is something his daughter said he would never make something like this up. So a lot of credibility from the witness, even though I never personally met him that I remember. So let's go to September
twenty second, nineteen sixty five. I wasn't even born yet rub it in Oh, I thought you were sixty six, you were born So this is going to be Officer Massinatti entering his blodder nine to fifty six pm answered call to Paul hess HES's store, Kingston Avenue, who said that he's seen circular objects in the sky with yellow, red, and green lights pointed at pointed it out me and in the north by northeastern section of the sky low stars
was a bright white star with red and green lights circling same very bright in colors when seen through binoculars. Could not make out what it was, but seemed to be traveling north by northeast to south by southwest very slowly. That signed Massinatti. So Paul haus was a longtime store owner. In fact, his family I think still owns the store. Oh wow. So he didn't have any incentive to make himself the crackpot of town if he had no store
town, especially right being a longtime residence. So then we're going to fast forward a couple of days and we're going to go to September twenty fifth, one twenty five pm. And there's not much else about this. I couldn't follow find any follow up, but a detective Wagner, who I knew growing up, made a note at one twenty five pm that A Ronald Velton from Tri County Filter Center at Fosterdale, New York. Where is Fosterdale? Oh,
that's out more towards Pennsylvania, is it okay? Informed headquarters he came in to inform them that he will be coming back for information on unidentified flying objects. Okay, So he was coming to the cops to get more information. So obviously he saw. I don't know if he ever came back. There's no further note, but the detective Wagner at the time must have been on the desk felt it was necessary to document it. So I found that
very interesting. That same day, September twenty fifth, nine o'clock PM at nine oh four to be specific, this is an entry by Lieutenant Coswick, so he was a desk officer at the time and he would have been this down based upon Massinati making a report to him, probably on the radio nine oh four pm. Officer Massinatti reports he observes the same object with green, red and white lights in the northern sky that he saw Wednesday night. So
now it's the officer making the report. I find interesting. Again, not something you're gonna report if you don't see it, especially back in this yet, because cops get correct me if I'm wrong. Brian and Mike they kind of make fun of one another once in a while. Sometimes they rib each other, Oh yeah, yeah, you don't want to set yourself up for ridicule. The locker room is more dangerous than any crime, let me tell
you. I used to say it's more dangerous getting suited up than it is once you leave the door, especially with the knives in the back sometimes. But Brian can't understand that too. But it's interesting. But also this was an official record, right, so it took a lot for somebody of that standing to put it on the record. Right. If you were lying about this as today, that would have been a disciplinary issue, would have been a violation of the roles and regulations. So there's no way he's making that
up. He's he's seeing something now. In September twenty seventh, at eight thirty pm, a Jean Smith and a Danny Mudrick of Butler Trailer Park, And that's up by me where I live in Sparabush, New York. And it's still there. It's not in Port Jervis, but they must have made the report report a disc shaped object with rotating red lights traveling at great speed, low and no sound seen by them. These were two separate calls at
about the same time, so they weren't calling together. They called independently of one another to report what they saw. So that's again, so these sightings are piling up over the course of days, and that's the desk officer was Chant at the time, and again he was another no none. All those guys back then were no nonsense, you know, very very serious. Now here's what I think is my favorite entry, and I think we'll explain a
little bit more about this. That same night, September twenty seventh, at ten pm, the desk officer Chant made an entry Major work Stuart Air Force Base phoned and inquired about flying objects. Claims he is swamped by phone calls from people in Port Jervis, Middletown and Goshen reporting all kinds of objects in the sky. I informed him we had several calls regarding reporting objects in the
sky, but I myself had not seen any. Stuart Air Force Base at the time was a hub of Project Blue Book, so that was yeah, a lot of you things were going on there, so maybe that's why people thought to call yeah there and I never was able to with that swamped with swamped with calls. And I can tell you in twenty two years of police work, I can't ever think of anybody from the military calling unless it was a background check on someone enlisting. So that that's pretty in a major Nonetheless,
that's yeah, you're getting up high in the chain of command. But if anybody listening those of a major work was that Stuart Air Force Base in the sixties. I've been unable to really find any information about him, and trying to google major works you're at air Force base, it just brings up
major work projects. But Stewart Airport, so I can tell you the history of construction, But if anybody knows of the major work that may have been stationed there, I would love to get a little bit more information about him. Maybe he's still around, you know. So now we're going to go ahead to September twenty ninth. Now this may or may not have been a
UFO, but it's on than usual. I've never really come across to it, and going through other blotterers of the time period, but on September twenty ninth, at four fifty five pm, a Missus Monica Kozakowski, who lives at Franklin in Church Street, reports an explosion some distance off jarred her house, causing a sixty nine dollars mirror to fall and break. And here's the
best part, and she wants someone to pay for it. Lieutenant Coslic at the time, who took this report, advised her it could possibly be a sonic boom and it would be almost impossible to determine liability. Yeah, send your bill to the Air Force. Good luck, hey for effort for traun well sixty nine dollars mirror in the sixties, what what was it? Solid gold? I wouldn't pay sixty dollars for a mirror to that, just glass
and reflecting. So then the last end you that even comes close to it is October fifth to twenty am. Massinatti again answered a call to missus it looks like ruper, Oh, no grouper. Fowler Street, who reported that she could see a light going on and off up towards Ridge Avenue, could not find no wires arcing, could be street lights. She seen with trees blowing back and forth giving an illusion of a light going off and on. Could be, but I'm again, when you live somewhere, you kind of
get used to what it looks like when you look out your window. Yeah, she should know what it looks like when the wind's blowing and the light's going on and off. So we mentioned I was going to talk about all these other How are we doing on time? By the way, Brian, we're good. Oh, we're gonna take a break. We're gonna take our break real quick, and then we'll come back and really delve into this.
This is Hudson River Radio dot com, your local Rockland County station. This is Hudson River Radio dot Com. To So, the Project Blue Book files are available online, at least what they've released. I mean, who knows what they didn't release. They kept the good ones. I decided to look around nineteen sixty five, around you know, September, October of sixty five
the Hudson Valley. What kind of reports were they getting? These are coming out of Stuart Air Force Base reporting Now, so this is Stuart Air Force Base. As Linda said, it was part of Project Blue Book. So this one on September twenty seventh, nineteen sixty five Swan Lake, New York. It's in Ulster County, I believe by Sliman by Liberty right Sullivan. And I'm just gonna give you the summary. And this is the summary from the Air Force. By the way, observer watched a white disk make a
shallow dive then proceed into a climbing turn. The object was just like a bright light to the naked eye. It is uncertain what asmuth the object was spotted because the road is quite wanding winding. The observer is uncertain of asthmuth of disappearance. Also, description and photos are consistent with that of a balloon sighting. I like how they go right to the balloon sting always the balloon. It's yeah, and I believe this one does have photos. Of course,
you know they don't reproduce. Well, no, they're photo copied, yeah, file and scan so yeah, good luck getting originals. Yeah, but they are on line and they did have them cleaned up because the photos in the original file were worse, and then they did actually send them off because you see something, but it's very hard. It came back from the Foreign Technology Division, so they thought enough of it to send it for analysis. If it was a balloon, why are you sending it to the Foreign
Technology Division? Right? So if you do find this report online you can see the original photos. Then you can see the photos as having been analyzed and you know, cleaned up, and it is hard to see even on now because again the reproductions are just not where they should be. Anybody know where Dunkirk, New York is? Where is that? Is that upstate or is that? Yeah to the west western. So Dunkirk was also seeing things at exactly the same time they had a report with it. Here. I
printed up stuff about the chief in case they had questions about them. But this was on September twenty third, so right around the beginning in the Port Jervis wave. Dunkirk Police received a number of telephone calls Wednesday evening in regards to an unidentified flying object in the sky. Lieutenant Edward Moulville and Patrolman Ally Sooys Sazynski stated that they observed the object and that it was a satellite. Satellite can often be seen on clear nights. I I don't know, I
don't think so. Again, so we have a wave going on in New York at this time, So let's go up to Glen's Falls, New York for on the same period. This isn't August, so it's a little bit before. I'll just summarize this a little bit. Glenn's Fall area skies may once again have been invaded by mysterious objects. At least, sightings of unidentified flying objects were reported in Corinth and South Glen's Falls last night, so that
would have been August twenty fifth. In Corinth, the sightings like a balloonful of water were made. I'm not going to read the whole article. The unidentified flying object, a balloon full of water apparently balloon fall of what quite a description was seen at about eight forty five southeast of Corinth, disappearing into the northeast. It was reported to be about ten times the size of a star and was orange and color and round in shape except for a slight bulge
at the bottom. That's the water part. That's the water port. So I kind of understand what they're explaining now. Yeah, it was visible on the horizon for about three minutes, and they also saw it the previous evening that this water balloon was hovering around for two days. I see now in South Glen Falls, the State Police received reports. So now the state police received reports of unidentified flying objects, and they themselves. The state police reported
seeing it themselves. At about ten pm in the Western sky troopers reported seeing a light swinging in a big circle parallel with the ground. Do water balloons do that? I don't know on July twenty six. In August six reports of mysterious objects were received from area residents. The reports, however, we're not similar. The first sightings were of a silver saucer, the second two bright lights shimmering and egg get shaped. Egg shaped? Yep, egg shaped?
So coour the wind's gonna barthing away. That's for those of you not here. It's a little windy. And Mike's notes are yeah, scattering. So I found that interesting though, because again it's all within the same timeframe. We have local police, state police from Port Jervis to Glen Falls to Dunkirk. Yeah, these things never occur in isolation, it seems. The more we when you get a report, it might seem like it's an isolated incident until you just dig a little bit beneath the surface and all of a
sudden you say, something is going on. Now, remember when I talked about Major Work. He mentioned they were being you know, swamped with calls from Middletown, Ghoshen, et cetera. There's a Project bluebook report from GOSH in New York, September twenty seventh, nineteen sixty five, the very day of the call from Major Work. Okay, coincidence, I think not, thank you, and I'm gonna just again, this is the summer. A
circular object with conical top, quite large. All right, pause, A circular object with conical top yep, like what Nancy saw over near west that she called it an ice cream cone. Yeah, the other directionation very similar, quite large. One object, row of steady red lights on circumference, green lights on top, left, low whistling sound associated with object by witness. Object was offset to the right. Object hovered turned north in east.
Oh wait, turn north and south, moved west, backed up, and then passed out of sight to the east in sight for about ten minutes. And I know the area of this sighting. It's good sky view. Now their conclusion witness regards is unreliable. That's an awfully good There's very detailed information about the sighting, the weather, conditions, everything, and that's their conclusion. I love the and it was seen by multiple people too, right,
Like, why are they unreliable? I'd like to at least hear a little bit. Middletown, New York. We're back in Orange County, not far from Port Jervis, September twenty sixth, nineteen sixty five, right within that site. And again i'll character I'll summarize us up. But this has newspaper articles about it. And again this is all online. You can you can do some digging. Circular disc shaped object and it's hard to read the boss, the cone on the bottom. There we go again. Yep, flashing
red, green and white lights, no features noted. Observed at forty to thirty degree forty elevation in the northwest, still there after two hours, but at binoculars, So I guess they could see it with binoculars. Okay, also observed following night in same place according to newsparp arracles, So that's what they're basing it on. Their conclusion. Sighting has characteristics of an astro body. Sighting one star it's hard to read. Our office was at fifteen degree
elevation. It was a star with flashing red and green lights with a conical bottom and a very specific star. Apparently I have to look at that star through my telescope. I've never seen a conical bottom stone. You're Linda's amateur astronomer. She knows what the sky's got. So and they're quite a bit on this one. And again the conclusions are always insulting to people's intelligence.
They always are. Yeah, but blue Book wasn't to confirm UFOs. It was to diminish people's credibility, to insult them, to ridicule them, and to explain it away. As I always said, that Blue Book had. You remember those magic eight balls when you were a kid, you'd shake it, and I think that's what blue Book had. They had a magic eight ball and they'd shake it. Oh it was Venus again. Ah, this one was swampcakes. I had one report I was dealing with over from Putnam
County. This woman gave an amazing detailed report, drew sketches of how the craft moved. It was her house, the yard where the craft was, and the investigating officer drew a smiling snowman in the yard and put all these little goofy things. So that's how how serious they were taking their reporting. Yeah. I like the magic a blic basically what it was. So there was a report, there's no summary, but it was on July twenty fifth
of nineteen sixty five in Bloomingberg, New York. And they concluded that it was an aircraft's observation. And you can see this is quite a thick file for an aircraft. Though again this stuff's not a line. It makes for very entertaining Monticello, New York. We're all familiar, Hope, mancellap and Sullivan County, July twenty FIR nineteen sixty five. Reports submitted in August, over one month after sighting, so okay, a little bit of time went
by. Consisted of triangular shaped object, white with red nose and a bright light aft, described as fastest thing in the sky. First object was forty to fifty degree elevation, second object five to ten degree elevation. First faded near vertical, second disappeared over the horizon. Fast speed reported is inconsistent with the duration of two minutes that I read that one. I don't remember if I did, I don't think. So this is a triangle in sixty five.
That's a very early triangle site. This is their conclusion. No data presented to indicate that the objects could not have been aircraft. Four jet aircraft routes intersect twenty miles south of observer's location. Did they look like triangles? So apparently the observer has to prove himself wrong or do the complete investigation right. And I'm going to add, I'm sure that an air force base could get aircraft information from other airports as to who was in the sky and potentially
where. Yeah, I like it. No evidence to suggests that it couldn't be insulting Monroe, New York back to Orange County. I know there's I got off on these blue books. Just I talked to Linda. I'm like I fell down a rabbit hole. October of nineteen sixty five. Again, this is a wave in this area. Movement of object among star background drew observer's attention. First sighted forty degrees above horizon, movement northwest to southeast.
Disappeared at eighty degrees above the horizon. White possibly tinted blur, no sound, trail, tailor exhaust. Conclusion, satellite description consistent with satellite observation. Maybe, I mean, who am I to say they're wrong? It is the air Force. They would not have made that up. No air force doesn't lie. And then I got two more of My favorite one was last location, Montgomery, New York, October twelfth is sixty five round red flashing
light looked like a revolving wheel, no tailor exhaust. Observer heard a deep whine when object was overhead. Remember another report had that whining sound. Alphe yes, yes. When first observed object was at forty five degrees above the horizon of the east, disappeared below the horizon to the east. Object reapproached from the east, circled and flew back to northeast, flew out of sight
to northeast, so it circled back around the observer. Yep, it looks like the reporter, the person who servant made an informal investigation with base weather station, local tower and radar Radar control. Looks like tower advised that a helicopter was working in area at the reported time, that the helicopter was using an anti collision light. And then they advised that there was a heliport working covering that time of the alleged occurrence. So doesn't say that's what it was
for sure, could but they're trying. They're trying to at least that one's got a little bit of reasonable. Yeah, you can, you can give the benefit of the doubt, but that all right. One one. And I couldn't find the guy where they say that he's unreliable because he's uh oh yeah, with somebody in Goshen. I know. I know that that he had some UFO books in his house, so they deemed him unreliable. I had it somewhere, But the last one is Ellenville, New York, September
twenty seventh, nineteen sixty five. And it seems like that night's very big. I'll give you the summary real quick, and then I'm just going to go to what I have on my screen. All the objects were reported to be moving and had red and green flashing lights. Most of them were moving from east to west. Some would appear to hover and change course. Nothing to indicate the objects were not aircraft. That was their consc So it was
multiple craft this time. Now this was a tough one to really talk about because there's a statement and it's unfortunately extremely faded, and everything I did in photoshop, there was an AI program that claimed it could do it. Yeah, no, not yet. No, maybe they're that you have to pay for it, but the free ones forget it. But I'm just gonna it's
this is what the report was. So a person wrote in, My son who was on the Ellenville Police Force and his partner of the shift stopped on their rounds patrolling the streets and asked my older son and I what we were doing outside at the time of night, because it was cold. It was it's like nine thirty at night. We told them that we were looking at some flying objects in the sky and one of them had just passed over our heads. And at that time they thought it might have been Telestar, which
was a satellite. That's what the police officer thought because it went over the area, but they did not agree. So while they were standing there, that includes the police officers talking, they looked over to the west and saw flashing lights and they saw a bright green flash of light go down behind a hill in the direction of and it's something ridge. I can't make out the word. So now the police are witnessing this too. They see a bright
green flash of light and then something go down there. They thought what they saw. What they thought too, appeared a very large explosion that lit up the whole side of the mountain. My son and I are the only ones that saw this green flash before the explosion, and there was no sound. In my forty nine years, I have seen a lot of falling stars and never bright and green like that. So I don't know how much time we were on Brian, but I think that's a good area to leave it at.
Yeah, there's been a lot of green flashes in the Ellenville area. Anybody ever seen a green flash? Yes? Okay, all right, so Mike bring us out. I'm going to bring it out by saying one. I'm gonna end up thinking myself deeper into a rabbit hole about these nineteen sixty five sightings. I smell a book. I smell a book too. Another one, but again, thank you, we had one for audience. Can we get round of applause? Everybody? Here's it. That is not a
sound, that is not a soundtrack, So so hold back. I'm much you have caolt there. Our second live show ever. This is awesome. You were a great audience to our listeners. Thank you. If you're new Binge listened to us on any podcast service on Mike Wharton when the Zimmerman, keep your eyes on the night sky, Hudson River Radio dot com. It beats listening to nothing,
