Hudson River Radio dot com. This is Travis Walton and you are listening to UFO Headquarters, beautiful headquarters, and welcome everyone to tonight's episode. We had a little change of plans, Brian, and the control room there is going to be helping out tonight. Brian. I'll do my best playing second banana. So Mike apparently as laryngitis. I'm guessing from his book tour. He's been doing some presentations and and uh and uh, you know, conferences and

stuff for Lynch by the Mob, which is excellent. You should pick up a copy. Absolutely. So there I was. He was supposed to be the lead on tonight's episode. As I was sitting on a beach today you've been meeting for all you people who are about to get a northeaster in the north, in the Northeast, and got a message that he had laryngitis, and I'm like, oh, I better get some stuff together. So fortunately I had some stuff I was looking into. So might be a shorter episode,

but it's better than no episode at all. True, So I agreed, all right, So here we go. A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from a John Genoviez got his permission to use his name and ended up calling him the next day to interview him because he had a great sighting in nineteen eighty seven in the Hudson Valley just right up the alley. You're hitting all the sweet spots of the of the Hudson Valley way. So let me just read this and I'll mention a few things we talked about.

I often don't give a person's name or what they do unless they give permission, and he said, yes, you can use the name. And I do want to mention his credentials because I think this really adds value to his case. Briefly, he moved in when he was fourteen, moved to Moor's Mills en Route eighty two, went to Millbrook High School and Dutchess Community, so in that area, beautiful area of the Hudson Valley. Lived in the Old Wheeler Homestead, which is a historic landmark building built in eighteen o

six. When he was nineteen and nineteen sixty eight, he was in the service for three years as a military policeman, trained in investigatory forry techniques as well as observing accidents and crimes. So he's trained observer, which is exactly what you want. Absolutely, And then he became a lawyer and clerked for a federal judge in Florida and has participated and tried multiple cases in forty three years of practice. All right, but he's a lawyer. That kind of

takes it down a notch. I don't know, Yeah, that's with the other show. Oh I'm sorry, Okay, yes, I don't know if he was a defense attorney. So murder in the Hudson Valley is what Linda is referring to the other show that we do where lawyers play a different role than they do here in UFO investigations. So now, so military police forty three years as a lawyer has some creds here has some credentials. So we're going back to Christmas holidays nineteen eighty seven. He was up from Florida visiting

his family. He said he was walking out the kitchen door, which faced south, and right away, I loved this because it's like, all right, he's giving me direction, he's giving me location. Good observer. He's facing south towards his dad's Honda, which he was borrowing while he was home.

Said, it's a very hilly area. And as I walked toward the car about seven point thirty pm on a cold, clear evening, I noted a huge object with green and red and blue lights at a low altitude, perhaps a thousand feet or less dip behind a hill on Coal Road to the south. So as I'm reading this, I opened up Google Maps and you can. It's great because you can track the path of this object. And

I love this description. My impression of the huge object object was as if you watch a jumbo jet take off and it is struggling to climb, multiply that by ten. Right, we've all seen these big jets, right, it seems like they're going slow. It seems like they're putting a lot of effort in even though they're not. They're built for it. But right, they seem like they're lumbering. Right, So these in other words, huge object looks like it's lumbering. And he says, multiply that by ten because

it's enormous. It's a footfield, foot foot ball field. Sorry people, I'm on vacation, football field length object. And he could see it was solid, okay, so it's not planes in formation. He sees this solid object. So he said, since I was heading toward the car to go out. I then ran toward the car to follow the object. I love that. You know, that's great. You're not scared. You jump in the car and you go after this thing. To the northeast behind the hill

was a small private airport sky Acres. The trajectory seemed to be in that direction. It struck me that if I could get above the hills, as the airport was, I could have a great unobstructed view of the object. I drove very fast uphill and actually intercepted the object directly above me. Okay, that's scary. Yeah, you actually caught something. Usually it takes off and it's gone right, But now it's right. You know what It's like the coyote just caught the road runner and says, well now what now?

What do I do with it? And this road runner had an extraordinarily bright light shining down on me. Okay, that would make me very nervous. There's enormous craft silently hovering over you, and it's beaming a brilliant light. He can't see any details in the craft because of this. I guess it was just a blinding light. And he admits I was glancing up through the windshield, still trying to drive even with this bright light, and kind of

freaked out. That is very understent. Yeah, absolutely so is that all I could really discern was the bright light almost blinding at not more than a couple of hundred feet These are enormous craft, so low practically tree top level. So as he drove away, I still wanted to get to high ground. So he's still trying. Even this was nerve racking. Still wanted to see it. So the nearest place was Germand Hill, GERMND to the north on Route eighty two, and again you can track all of this on Google

Maps. It was not more than four miles, So he drives, probably very quickly those four miles, and when he got to the top he could see the object in the distance, apparently stationary and probably a mile and a half away in a valley. I could see the same bright lights and had a longer opportunity to observe the size and density of the object. So again I like that the density of the object. These weren't little individual points of

light. This was a big, big, dense object. South of the object was the Hamlet of Freedom Plains near the Taconic Parkway, which provided a bit of backlighting, so I could see the silhouette. It was consistent with my initial observation. Then it disappeared, it was just gone. So I just loved this description, the details, and we spoke for quite a while. No sound, He doesn't think he had missing time when the light was on him. You know, I was wondering did he feel heat or tingling

or none of that that he recalls. And then there's always the question, any family members ever see anything? Well, not really. Well, wait, his son apparently had a very interesting sighting out in New Mexico, which I'm waiting for the details on that. So it often, as we've seen, runs in the family. And so I said, you know, with all of your experience and all these years to reflect on it, you know, what do you think you saw? And I don't think he got the

question. And well, it was a huge craft. It was moving slowly, deliberately, and I'm like, no, what I mean do you think it was human? Oh? Of course not. So my question is that I know, I know, but I have to ask, oh, yeah, absolutely, And you know you don't think it could be military? He said, no, military, he could conceive of would have this craft. So thank you very much, John. I love getting these reports. Even forty years later, we're you know, we're still getting these reports. People

are still coming forward. Yeah, And I think as people hear other people's stories, it helps them feel a little bit better about coming forward. Right, has been your right? Right? And especially when this, you know, somebody like this with these credentials and background doesn't mind saying no, go ahead, use my name. It definitely adds credibility to it. So we might have a part two if we find out what the sun saw okay, New Mexico. And so yeah, So I just wanted to start out with

that. And before we get to our other cases, why don't we take our first break. Hudson River Radio dot com. Hudson River Radio dot com subsidiary of Glacier Entertainment LC, lasting the competition in New York's Hudson Valley. So the title of tonight's show is India, Germany and Casablanca. Excuse me, East Germany, India, East Germany and Casablanca. So we're going traveling

tonight. I'm in all right. So this was a case that really didn't get any international play that I saw, and it just recently took place on November nineteenth, twenty twenty three, in Manipore, India. I had to look that up. It's just east of Burma and the city or town of Ifall. And here we go. I'm going to give it my best at the beer Tikandradjet International Airport. Sound good, right, I'll buy it all right now, they saw a they visually saw. I love. They don't

say naked eye there, they say with bare eyes. People at this airport were witnessing a bright white object seemed to be self luminous so had its own light. It was videotaped. This was daylight, about two thirty pm. It very very much reminded me of a Hudson Valley incident in twenty twelve where people up and down the Hudson Valley saw this brilliant bright object just sitting there

for hours. This was a very similar thing. It was two thirty pm until about four h five when the object just took off, But it seemed to be above the tower of the airport, which is concerning Yeah, you have flights coming in. They took this seriously enough that all flights were suspended for three hours. That's a lot for an airport. He's really disruptive, especially in a high population area like that. Absolutely. Yeah, some flights

were diverted to the other to another city of Kolkata. Several flights were just grounded until they gave the old the all clear. So this object, it mostly stood still in the sky, but it also moved slowly to the south. A congressman, Manish Tawari said that this was a justified response because you have an unknown object, a possible danger. You don't know what it is, you don't know how big it is, you don't know its intentions, so it poses a potential danger to aircraft. So I think they did the

right thing. You don't know what that's an even more dangerous section of the world over there. So this congressman asked the government, do we even have a UFO plan? What's the respect? When people said, he got no response. I don't think India is very open to talking about UFOs. And then this little tidbit came out. They took this so seriously that the Indian Air Force scrambled two rafael fighter jets. Now those are French, beautiful planes,

French fight out fighter jets made by Dessau. They are capable of having a very robust weapons platform. The reports didn't say if they went up armed, but you think they probably would. I imagine they would at least have some capabilities. Why would you scramble without that right They did say they had advanced sensors, but when they got up there, they didn't find anything.

Okay, people are on the ground seeing it with their bare eyes. Yet you put two advanced fighter jets with their sensors up there, we don't see anything. So that was kind of the end of it. And I watched a local a local to Maniport report where this woman saying, well, you know, we've had these things in the past and they've always proven to be drones for birthday parties or Chinese lanterns. And I don't think anybody was having

a birthday party at the international airport. Sparrows over there, but that's not the first choice for any birthday party. You could do that at high altitude over an airport, but they were clearly trying to let's you know, it was could have been a Chinese lantern. Chinese lanterns are little paper things, yeah, that fly up in the air and move away on the currents of the air right, and who goes to the airport to launch them unless it

was floating through by coincidence? Yeah? So yeah, so that's I tried to find it, and that was that was the end of it. They don't know anything more, and clearly they don't really want to discuss it. Yeah, well, I know you have more of a conspiracy mindset than I do. That it automatically goes to we don't want to tell the truth.

But to me, it seems just as likely they really don't know, but they're trying to give an They don't want to say they don't know, right, right, But the fact that the congressman, you know, this wasn't the man on the street. What's going on? A congressman trying to get information? Does the government even have a policy or a plan? Right? And get an answer? Right? So maybe they just don't have a policy or a plan, right, And I don't know if they'd want to admit

that either. That's just it. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Of course you have a UFO plan, Aha, do you have it? Look? Screaming and running is a plan, that is plan that may not be a good one. But so before we get to East Germany and Casablanca, why don't we take our second break. This is Hudson River Radio dot com, your local Rockland County station. This is Hudson River Radio dot com. And we are back on vacation. Some people, you know,

they go to bars and hand the hour and drink. And I've been going through some c I a u f O report. Geez, do you understand what a vacation is? I think you may need a little guidance. I was on the beach all day, so there's that. But this is my form of entertainment and relaxation, and it's a good thing. I was doing it so I could put together tonight's episode. So this is a report which I found very interesting. A man by the name of Oscar Link.

He's a forty eight year old German and former mayor of Glimushausen and he when this report came out in fifty two, he had recently escaped the Soviet Zone along with his wife and six children. So we kind of forget in this modern world, there used to be in East Berlin and a West Berlin and a wall in between that made things very difficult. And you could be shot in a heartbeat trying to get from East Berlin to west. So the fact that this man escaped with his wife and six children. Wow. So anyway,

Link actually had a story to tell and I love this. He gave a sworn statement before a judge, which I don't know that I've come across this before, a UFO witness going before a judge. To what purpose. I guess he believed in this story and wanted to get it on record. I don't know. It doesn't explain, but I just found that very interesting. So here's I will read this report. Link and his eleven year old daughter, Gabriella made the following So even his daughter made the following sworn statement.

While I was returning to my house with Gabriella attire on my motorcycle, blew out near the town of Hasselbach. While we were walking tour Hasselbach, Gabriella pointed out something which lay at a distance of about one hundred and forty meters away from us. Since it was twilight, I thought she might be pointing to a young deer. I left my motorcycle near a tree and walked

toward the spot, which Gabriella had pointed out. When, however, I reached the spot about fifty five meters away, I realized my first impression had been wrong. What I had seen were two men who were now about forty meters away from me. They seemed to be dressed in some shiny metallic clothing. They were stooped over and were looking at something lying on the ground. I approached until I was only about ten meters from them. That's close,

pretty close. I looked over a small fence, and I noticed a large object whose diameter I estimated to be between thirteen and fifteen meters. It looked like a huge frying pan. That's a that's a new one. Yeah, we hear sauces, saucers, I guess in your preferred cuisine. There you go. There were two rows of holes on its periphery, about thirty centimeters in circumference. This is very specific. This is this is good. The

space well, he's German, so I might be very particular. Yes, The space between the two rows was about zero point four to five meters, very specific. On top of this metal object was a black conical tower about three meters high. At that moment, my daughter, who had remained a short distance behind me called me. The two men must have heard my daughter's

voice, because they immediately jumped on the conical tower and disappeared inside. I had previously noted that one of the men had a lamp on the front of his body, which lit up at regular intervals. Now the side of the object on which the holes had been opened began to glitter. Its color seemed green, but green, but later turned to red. At the same time, I began to hear a slight hum, which we hear a lot with these craft. Silence or a hum. While the brightness and hum increased,

the conical tower began to slide down into the center of the object. The whole object began to rise slowly from the ground and rotate like a top. It seemed to me as if it were supported by the cylindrical plant, which had gone down from the top of the object through the center, and had now appeared from its bottom on the ground. So there was some central post or pillar. That's the whole thing. The frying pans. It sounds like a mushroom. Sounds like a big mushrooms. There you are. That describes

it. The object, now surrounded by a ring of flames, was now a certain number of feet above the ground. I then noticed that the whole object had risen slowly above the ground. The cylinder on which it was supported now disappeared within the center and had reappeared on the top of the object. So this object had all sorts of things going on, like a conical section that seems to be pulled into it, this central support that rises up.

There's a lot of mechanics going on here. The rate of climb had now become greater. At the same time, my daughter and I heard a whistling sound. That heard that similar to that herd when a bomb falls. That made my blood run cold. Yeah, right after World War two. And a kid that knows what that sounds like, that's yeah, that's you know, she's probably fought what fifth say. Yeah, she's probably about four or

five years old, and she knows what a bomb falling sounds like. So the object rose to a horizontal position, turned toward a neighboring town, and then gaining altitude, it disappeared over the heights and forest to the direction of Stockheim. Many other persons who live in the same area as Link later related that they saw an object which they thought to be a comet. A shepherd stated that he thought he was looking at a comet moving away at low altitude.

Comets do not move it low altitudes for those of you, and if they are you, you didn't know about it because it's too late. That's right, thank you. After submitting his testimony to the judge, Link made the following statement, I would have thought that both my daughter and I were dreaming if it were not for the following element involved. When the object had disappeared, I went to the place where it had been. I found a circle circular opening in the ground, and it was quite evident that it was

freshly dug. It was the same, exactly the aim shape as the conical tower. I was then convinced that I was not dreaming. So whatever this was had left a big imprint or blast or whatever it made a shape in the dirt. And Link continued, I had never heard the term flying saucer before I escaped the Soviet zone into West Berlin. When I saw this object, I immediately thought it was a new Soviet military machine. I confessed that I was seized with fright. Because the Soviets do not want anyone to know

about their work. Many persons have been restricted in their movements for many years in East Germany because they know too much. Well, that's a polite way to put it, isn't it. Yes, they were thrown in the slammer and never seen again or shot where it's very very cold. Yes, yeah, so, I mean Germany was working on jet engines at the end of World War two. So that's like the first thing that came to mind when

we were talking about flames and all that. I'm wondering if they got a hold of something that was in the works maybe, because that would leave an impression in the ground, that would make a lot of flames, that would make a lot more noise though, Yeah, yeah it would. And what's with the two guys in the shiny suits? Uh, flame retardant suits? Did they have? Maybe? Yeah? Yeah, there's a lot to unpack

in this. Yeah, sounded fascinating, not only for his really detailed description, but again, oh, it sounded like a bomb dropping to us, So we were afraid. I was terrified. I thought it was something I'm not supposed to see. Right. Oh, It's funny how your mindset and your experiences kind of shape your description and all that. Absolutely, absolutely so that is our East German escaping into escaping the Soviet zone, as he called it. Yeah. I just thought that was a great case. And so

we've taken both breaks, so we're good. Yeah, Well, let's go to Casablanca. I've never been by. Yeah, all right, here's looking at Brian. Here we go. So this is a case where thousands of people in Morocco and Tangiers saw either a saucer or a cigar shaped object on September one, nineteen fifty two. So and going back and forth with this as I'm reading its pages and pages of descriptions, but I'll read you some

of it. The first sighting, Well, the the report starts with a enormous saucer seen going at a great speed over Casablanca at six twenty pm, and then they give all these other accounts. At eight six point fifteen pm the Nephophic River valley. No clue where that is. They saw an object, a timed an object with a chronometer. I don't know who was standing

around in the Nephific River valley with a chronometer. But the object stopped short a moment, revolved on itself, emitted a shower of sparks from about its cone. So it was cone shaped. You'd think, well, maybe it's just military aircraft, but stopping midair and revolving. And there was also many sightings in Rabot, which I had to look up, is fifty seven miles from Casablanca, so if you go to Casablanca, take an hour go to

Rabot. I don't know what's there. I thought this was interesting about this. This is all the same night, within minutes of one another. This was at six thirty pm about six thousand spectators at a boxing match in Casablanca. That's a lot of people in an open air arena or whatever watching boxing. I don't know how much you can see if you're twenty eight rows back watching a boxing match, but anyway, they see this saucer shaped object passing

overhead. At six's eighteen and another town people saw an object like this flying from east to west. So whatever this was was all over the place. In Marrakesh, it made an appearance for five seconds at six thirty pm, when it was clearly seen by three persons who described it as a meteor. So in other words, it's bright, it might be flaming. I don't know. At six point fifteen, many people on a beach seventeen kilometers from Tangier, saw a large luminous disc of a diameter close to that of the

setting sun, flying horizontally from east to west. After holding its course for about twelve seconds, the disc, which looked like a brightly illuminated metal object, so they're seeing something solid, suddenly emitted two great streaks of flames and disappeared. It was also seen over Fesse, which is in French Morocco, lying at very high speed. And then this is the last part of this. There was a lot of sightings, but I'm just giving some highlights that

a pilot gets a close up view. For a brief interview, the pilot of a tourist plane reports that on September twenty first, nineteen fifty two, that same night, he flew for ten seconds and about fifty meters in the same direction as the flying saucer so widely observed that day, so it was pacing his plane for a short for a short distance. This was a former military pilot whose name is Kreeze Crez, and he answered specific questions put to

him and gave the following information. As he was preparing to land at an airfield in Casablanca at six twenty five he noticed the strange object about thirty meters to the left of his plane. That's what about ninety feet that's pretty close. That's that's a little long. Comfortable, yes, And this was confirmed by a ground mechanic who saw this luminous object flying next to this plane. So we have a ground observer. It was flying horizontally again from east to

west. The latter was doing two hundred and the pilot two hundred and twenty kilometers an hour by this point at an altitude of four hundred and fifty meters, which is still pretty low, but the object was going about twice as fast. He motioned to his passenger, who also saw it. So yet another the witness It looked like a bright blue green flame and had an oblong cigar like shape. He heard no noise coming from it. After it passed the plane, it disappeared in the direction of the sea. And this I

love this line. The pilot did not attempt to pursue it, fearing the same fate as that of the US pilot. And in parentheses, the CIA added Captain Mantel, and that may ring a bell to some ufologist. And if it doesn't. That is a very famous case from January seventh, nineteen forty eight, in Franklin, Kentucky. A Captain Thomas Mantel in his beautiful P fifty one aircraft, my favorite aircraft. If you need to know that, all right down, Christmas is coming. I want to ride in a

P fifty one. He was with the Kentucky Air National Guard. Sees a UFO something strange, he follows it. It's climbing high. Unfortunately he gets too high, he blacks out, the plane crashes and he dies. And this was a very experience. He's a captain, He's flown a lot of ours, seen a lot of things. They claim he was chasing a weather balloon and that's how he died. So it's interesting that this pilot in Casablanca doesn't want the same fight, you know, same fate as Captain Mantel four

years later, from Kentucky to Casablanca. You better believe pilots around the world knew about this. Yeah, you'd be crazy not to share that kind of information, right. I understand keeping it, keeping it close to yourself and not letting it out. And especially then, oh, especially as an American

with the Cold War and everything going on. But yeah, if you're flying around things and you don't know what's coming, yeah, it seems like a good idea to share some share whatever, you know, right, so you don't chase it and die. Yeah, that's always good. So that's my little quick world tour. Some very interesting cases, a lot of meat on these bones here for period. It is as a complete newbie my thing.

One of the things that sticks out with me are the issue of lights, like beams of light and things are lit up and you know, all right, well, what's the purpose? You know, we assume we can see a certain part of the light spectrum, but the spectrum is huge, infrared and ultra violet and way beyond. You know, we use for communication, we use for heat, we use for other things. You know, what is the purpose of lighting? You know, the spectrum that we can see

maybe is being used for something else that we don't know. Or maybe their version of illumination is something that we can't see, you know. Yeah. The only thing I can think of is they don't care that they're being seen. They want to be seen. And a lot of times when people are hit with these beams of light where their whole car lights up, or they're in this spotlight, they feel heat, or they feel tingling, or they feel something more. It's not just you know, let's shine a light on

it. It's like they're being scanned almost right somewhere. I think we're assuming that it's so you can see better, but maybe it's not. Yeah, maybe maybe you know, our version of C is totally different than something else's version of C. I think absolutely you're you're correct with that. So yeah, I just thought, you know, I love getting international cases because it's

not just crazy people in the US, you know we have. You can't get much more diverse today than Kentucky, India, Casablanca and East Germany. Agreed, So I think it's a Again, I apologize this was a quicker episode, kind of put it together like I did, put it together last minute, But I think it gives people a lot to think about and follow up on. Yeah, So I hope more people come forward with their stories and their memories the best that they can remember, because I think it all

adds to putting together the puzzle pieces. Absolutely, yes, please do please get in touch with me or Mike, send your stories and if it's something you know, compelling, happy, to speak to you, interview you further. I know a lot of people I hate to write. I don't, but don't just please do not contact me and say I have this great case. Okay, could you give me a clue. Please take a few minutes and give me where when some idea of what it was. Did you see

a light zip across the sky? Or did something land in your backyard? You know, give me some context and I will be like this, gentleman, I was more than happy to follow up on that. So there we have it. Very cool, Brian. Why don't you take it away? All right? Well, thanks for having me sit in. It's always something new and something interesting and it just pulls you down another rabbit hole that there's only so many hours in a day. You have to stop doing this.

But thank you for putting this together. And hopefully Michael recover quickly and be back in and we'll see him next month. So thank you, Linda for all your extra work, and thank you for joining us for the UFO headquarters. We will see you next month. Hudsondre radio dot com a favorite among shut ins and dogs.
