In 1985 a group of eminent scientists came to UC Santa Cruz to discuss a vision that would become the Human Genome Project. Dr. Francis Collins, Director of the National Human Genome Research Institute, shares the latest information on this project as well as his thoughts about the positive and negative ways in which this new technology might be used.
