Maxime Cannesson, M.D., Ph.D., is an associate professor of anesthesiology and perioperative care at UC Irvine. He is director of clinical research and director of cardiac anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care and an expert on perioperative hemodynamic optimization and fluid management in patients undergoing high-risk surgery. He has developed or helped develop several non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring indices and monitors for helping with the care of high-risk surgery patients.
