28 Cheshvan: Greeting Moshiach

GREETING MOSHIACH Practically, we greet Moshiach by teaching about Moshiach based on Torah sources, in a manner that will be accepted by each person according to his understanding. Primarily, this means learning about Moshiach and the Redemption with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. (Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah 5752; Toras Menachem-Hisvaaduyos 5752, vol. 1, p. 298) When we greet someone, we approach him and speak to him face to face. Spiritually, this face-to-face interaction reflects mutual understanding and desire. We must study about Moshiach and the redemption to the point that we fully understand and internalize this message. When this vision becomes our own and we share this desire to bring the redemption with others, that is how we will greet Moshiach.
