Topic for Cheshvan: Working Toward Moshiach.

Transcript

A PERFECT SERVICE Every Jew must serve G-d both as a son and as a servant. (Tanya, ch. 41) During the era of Moshiach, G-dliness will permeate our entire being with understanding and enjoyment, yet we will serve G-d with selflessness and dedication. This means that even those who primarily serve G-d in action, like a servant, must study Torah with understanding and enjoyment. Likewise, even those mainly involved in study must learn Torah not only because they enjoy it but out of a sense of obligation and commitment to G-d. Ultimately, everyone must combine both approaches in his or her daily life. By doing so, we prepare for the perfect service of Moshiach. Likkutei Sichos, vol. 20, pg. 346 Hemshech 5666, end Ibid, pp. 54, 326
