IN THE PROPER TIME
He [G-d] has made everything beautiful in its proper time.
(Koheles 3:11)
Adam was worthy that the Torah be given to him, but G-d said, “I will give it instead to your children,” because G-d does everything in its proper time.
How is it that the deepest secrets of the Torah will be revealed and understood by the last and lowest generation? If the earlier generations did not merit these secrets, why will we?
The previous higher generations were worthy; nevertheless, it was not the proper time for these matters to be revealed. The purpose of the Torah is to guide us in our lives. The final generation of exile is charged with the task of completing the refinement process of transforming the deepest darkness into the brightest light. This unique task requires understanding the most profound secrets of the Torah; therefore, G-d reveals these secrets now so that we can complete our task and bring the complete Redemption.
