TO KNOW G-D
On the saying, “If I knew G-d, I would be G-d,” the Rebbe Rashab commented that through the study of Chassidus, “I both know and experience G-dliness.” (Sefer HaSichos, Keitz 5700, pg. 26ff.)
G d’s essence cannot be grasped intellectually. As long as we are separate beings from G-d, it is impossible to know Him. Therefore, we can only grasp and experience G-dliness when it permeates our lives and transforms everything around us into something G-dly.
Only by learning Chassidus in this manner can we grasp the Divine Essence. This revelation of G-d’s essence is synonymous with the Redemption.
