In this episode “Toxic People,” Casey shares portions of chapter five in A New Song Rises Up! which is titled, “What Can You Do About Toxic People?” Monday episodes are in a progressive series this month.
As she reads a scenario of a habitually toxic person in a gathering and how she negatively affects others. This could’ve been people within a workshop, church, in-laws, or family. Are we helpless to the abuse, mistreatments, manipulations, and control? We can repeatedly pray and forgive, striving for a good response. Can or should we walk away?
Casey suggests prayer and to consider, as with domestic violence, to safely leave that habitually toxic environment. Prayerfully study Proverbs 22:24-25, James 3:16, 1 Cor. 15:33, 2 Cor 6:14.
