Episode description

Sickness exists in this world, but it’s not from God or meant for believers. In this message, Pastor DaVon shares four steps every believer can take to resist sickness, trust God for healing, and make wise choices to stay healthy.

Open your Bibles to Exodus chapter 15 and meet me at verse 26. Exodus chapter 15 and meet me at verse 26. And the Lord is saying here, if you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statues, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians, watch this, for I am the Lord who heals you. Say this after me, I am the Lord who heals you.

During this season, I have been talking to a lot of people, and people have been just attacked physically in their body. People are, they're saying the flu numbers are up and COVID's up and the common cold is up. And a couple of weeks ago, I was dealing with some of this stuff as well, that being attacked in my body physically. And I've been talking to people and people have just been missing work and they've been out and they just haven't felt well.

And things have been going on in their life and in their bodies. And I was remembering a time when I was in Jerry Savelle's Bible School. And there was a minister, I want to give him a shout-out, his name was Alan Shook, Pastor Alan Shook. He and his wife, Beverly, used to teach on the covenant of healing. It was one of my favorite classes because they took us verse by verse and book by book and word by word about the covenant that God has made with us where healing is concerned.

And one of the things Pastor Alan Shook used to say all the time was when a sickness would come on him and he would have symptoms and he would have bad feelings and coughing and sneezing and all of that stuff that you know what I'm talking about, he used to say all the time, I'm going to return this to sender.

And I love it because I remember back in the day, we used to get mail, and the mail wasn't for us, and we would write on there, return to sender, and put it right back in the mailbox, and the mailman, mailwoman would pick it up and send it to where it needs to go. And he would say that all the time, if a sickness comes on you, return it to the sender. Don't receive it. Don't take it. Don't say it's mine. Don't embrace it. Don't fall in love with it. Don't patty cake it.

Return it to the sender. And as I was reading this verse in Exodus, I love what the Lord is saying here. He said that I will not put any of these sicknesses on you that are on the Egyptians. And what that communicated to me is these sicknesses that are going around in the earth, they're not meant for the believer.

Sickness is not meant for the believer now we are in this earth and we have bodies and we are susceptible to some things in the earth because we carry this body but these sicknesses are not meant for us and i love what the lord said there in exodus 15 he said for i am the lord who heals you. I read it this way. It illuminated my spirit this way. I am the Lord who takes away the sickness. He says, I didn't put it on you, so therefore I'm going to take it away.

I am the Lord that's going to take sickness away. I am the Lord that's going to remove the burden of sickness off of your life. I am the Lord that will heal you. And we have to believe that so very much that the Lord is taking away sickness and healing us, even to the point to where we begin to resist and reject sickness. I don't want you getting comfortable with,

with being sick. I don't want you just embracing, and it's like, well, I've got this flu, and I get this flu all the time, and you know, me and the flu, you know, we just get along, or you know, this is the third and fourth time I've gotten COVID, and I just, you know, and this is what I do. I just get COVID. I get this common cold, and I'm forever coughing. I'm forever sneezing. Stop embracing it. For the Lord says, I am the one that's going to remove it.

I'm the one that's going to take it out of your life. I'm the one that's going to heal you. And we see in Mark chapter 1 verse 40, and I'll read through to verse 42, Mark chapter 1 verse 40 through 42, A leper came to Jesus, imploring him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, if you are willing, you can make me clean. Jesus moved with compassion, stretched out his hand, and touched him and said to him, I am willing.

Be cleansed, in verse 42. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. Let me let you know what's going on here. Leprosy was a disease that was incurable. Once someone had leprosy, they were cast out of the community. It was believed to be contagious, and it was believed to be a punishment for your sin. If you had leprosy, they believed that you committed some sort of sin, and that's why you had leprosy.

And so this man runs up to Jesus, imploring him, shouting to him, kneeling down, worshiping him, and he says to Jesus, and you know Jesus is God, right? Jesus is God. Say that. Jesus is God. So he runs up to God, and he doesn't ask God about his ability to. He asked him about his willingness. If you are willing, you can make me clean. Not if you're able. If you're willing, you can make me clean. And today, people are still asking this question. Today, is it God's will?

They'll pray this way. I pray that you feel better if it be the will of the Lord. Jesus answered this question once and for all. He told this leper who's a nameless man. I love how scriptures didn't put a name on him because if he's talking to this man, then he's talking to me and you too. He's no respecter of persons. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. So if he told this man, I am willing, guess what he's telling me today?

I am willing. He cannot tell that man he's willing and tell me he's unwilling. Matter of fact, in Scripture, we don't have one verse in the Gospels where Jesus told someone that he was unwilling to heal them. Not one verse. We don't have any verse in the gospel, God, who is in the flesh, Jesus walking the earth, giving people sickness and disease. There's not one verse that Jesus gave anybody a sickness and disease. There's not one verse that Jesus told someone, I am unwilling to heal you.

Not one verse. And so we have to understand that there is a willingness on God's part to heal. And then God, who is Jesus, stretched his hand, touched him, and the rest of the story is the leprosy left him because of his willingness and his compassion to heal those who are sick. I think sometimes we, in our society today, we don't resist sickness as often as we should. We put up with it. We cater to it. We expect it to happen, but we don't resist it.

And just like we said last week, 2 Timothy 1, verse 7, God has not given us a spirit of fear. Everything you have has not been given to you by God. Sickness will come. I told you a couple weeks ago, man, for the whole week, I was battling and I was winning. And I was telling people all the time, people, how you doing, pastor? I said, I am the healed resisting the flu. I'm the healed resisting sickness. I'm not the sick trying to get healed.

Now listen, this is your posture. This is your frame of mind. I am the healed, and I'm fighting sickness. I am the healed, and I'm about to knock out this flu. That's why I told somebody, I'm about to knock it out. I'm the healed. I'm not trying to get something from God. God's going to take it away from me, but I must resist it. I must be in battle against it, not ever receiving it.

And so in our home, when someone's not feeling well, we don't walk around saying, well, it's that time of year, it's flu season. You know, it's that time of year and this is what happens. You know, you might just get sick. No, no, no, no, no, no. We don't do that. We begin to resist it. And I want to tell you today how to resist it. I had something else I had planned to talk about, but the Lord really wanted me to talk about this.

And I want to show you how to resist it. I think the first thing you need to know that God didn't give it to you. God's not giving you the sickness. God's not giving you the sickness, I said. He didn't give it to you. There's an enemy that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And if you let the sickness run its course, that thing is trying to steal, kill, and destroy your life. People die of sickness. They die of disease, and we must get to the point that we resist it.

There was one particular time, Stephen Tasha introduced me to this particular man. He lived in my neighborhood, and he was very, very sick. And his pastor told him, the Lord has given you this sickness. And so he never fought against it. He embraced it. He received it. 26 years old, died on his wife's birthday. And they were trying to lift up the name of Jesus saying, this was all God's plan.

See, if you don't fight against it or if you don't know the will of God, you won't have faith to fight against it. And I begin to talk to them like, man, this is not the will of God. That pastor can't show you one verse where God gave you that cancer. There's no verse. We see Jesus taken away, but if you just believe it's not God's will, you'll fight against it. He said, well, my pastor said it is. And so I went to visit him in the hospital. I was going in there to pray.

I had my Bible. I was ready. We're going to get rid of this thing in Jesus' name. I walked in, and he had a big old chocolate cake. Chocolate cake. Chocolate cake. And he had Bojangles biscuits. And the doctor came in and said, your blood pressure is really, really high. He goes, yeah, I'm eating these Bojangles biscuits. And I said, brother, you are about to die. You playing with this thing. And you know what he said? This is what God's will for my life is.

And died 26 years old. 26 years old died because he played with this. Sickness is trying to kill you. The common cold wants to kill you. It's just not stronger. You're just stronger than it. If you weren't, it would kill you. The people die of the flu. People die of sickness. So we've got to reject it and resist it and stop playing with it. And in our home, we, the first thing we do, we know this is not God's will for us to be sick.

When we declare this is not the will of God, and we want the will of God to happen in your life, and we declare God's will, which is healing and health, I am the Lord that healeth thee, is the will that's in the Alexander home, and we enforce that will in our house. That's the first thing we do. The next thing we do is we begin to identify what it is.

Now, I need to talk to you about this because a lot of people skip this step, a lot of people look at their situation and they begin to say, I don't have it. And therefore, they begin to ignore or deny the symptoms. And when you ignore and deny the symptoms, that is not faith in God. That is ridiculous and it's not wise. And there are people that I know that have died because they denied it. I don't have it. I don't have this. Well, what's going on in your body? Everything is okay.

No, it looks like you keep bleeding all the time. No, something is wrong. No, everything's fine. I don't have this. I don't have it. I don't have it. I don't have it. I don't have nothing. And they begin to deny it. And the next thing you need to do is you need to identify what it is that's going on. And that means you may have to go to the doctor. Are you listening to me? You may have to go to the doctor.

Go to the doctor. What is going on? And let the doctor say, okay, it looks like this, it looks like that. And now you have identified what's happening. I need to say this to you, and I'll say it as boldly as I know how to say it. You need to get a physical every year. I'm not your doctor, but I am your pastor. Go get a physical. Every year, go to the doctor and find out what's going on in your body. Amen. Somebody say amen.

Find out what's going on in your body. Get a physical every single—and it's free most of the time. Get you a physical and find out what's going on in your body. But here's what happens. Most people are afraid of bad news. So they don't go to the doctor because they don't want to hear the bad news. Psalms 112 verse 7 in the New Living Translation says it this way, they do not fear bad news.

They confidently trust the Lord to care for them. You got to get to the point where you don't fear bad news. You're just confidently trusting the Lord to care. Full disclosure, I don't like going to the doctor, okay? I don't like it. I do like going to the dentist, by the way, but that's another story. I don't like going to the doctor. I don't like going. I don't like making appointments. I don't like going. But I go because I am standing up against any bad news that may happen.

And if they share something bad, I look at it and I say, okay, all right, this is what I need to do. You got to identify what's going on in order to address it by faith. Once you identify it, don't be afraid of the bad news. identify, this is happening in my body. This is happening in my life. This is the doctor's report. I'm not denying the doctor's report exists. I'm denying its right to exist in my body. Are you listening to me today?

So what most people do is they deny that the report exists. Well, the doctors say this, but I don't have that. That's what you got, unless the doctor's wrong, and they can be wrong. That's what you have. Now you get into the Word of God and you begin to find out, okay, this is what the doctor's report says. Now I'm going to address it with the Word of God. The very next thing you do is you begin to find scriptures and you begin to talk to it.

Whatever it is, you begin to talk to it. A couple of weeks ago, I had flu-like symptoms. So I began to talk to the flu. You flew. In Jesus' name, I command you to stop. I command you to get out of my body. You leave now in Jesus' name. Flu, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. this. You have no right to stay in my body, and I command you to leave now. I begin to talk to the flu. You mean you talk to the flu? I talk to the flu.

In Luke chapter 4, verse 38, take a look at this. Luke chapter 4, verse 38. Now he arose, Jesus, from the synagogue. He was at church. He entered Simon's house, and Simon's wife's mother, his mother-in-law, was sick with a high fever, and they made request of him concerning her, Jesus, come, she's sick. So he stood over her, and he rebuked the fever, and it left her. You mean to tell me the fever had ears? It heard?

It heard Jesus rebuked it and left her, and immediately she got up and she served them. He rebuked the fever. He didn't pray. He spoke to it. The word rebuke means command to stop. I order you to cease. I command you to leave now. He rebuked the fever and the fever left. There are so many examples of Jesus tell us we could talk to a mountain and we could talk to the fig tree. And Moses spoke to a rock and water came out of the rock. Glory be to God.

And we can speak to things and things change. changed. About four, no, about six years ago, it was 2019, I go get an annual physical. And in this particular physical in 2019, they said that one of my organs was producing higher numbers than it should have produced. Well, the first time I saw that, I got to be honest with you, And I thought, oh, it'll be fine. I'll be fine. I didn't do what I'm telling you. Be fine. I'll go the next year, that number increase.

Oh, I'll be fine. Go the next year, that number increase. So we're in 2022 now. Fine. Go the next year, 2023, number, number, you know, flattened out. But it's still higher than normal. Finally, the Lord said, when are you going to do something about this? Because I feel fine and because there's no visible sort of issues, I just kind of ignored it. And the Lord spoke to me and said, when are you going to do something about this?

So finally, I was like, I'm tired of that number going up. I got to be here a long time. Amen. I want to see my great-grandkids. Amen. And I need to be here for you. Amen. I said, you know what? Let's address this thing. So I found out in the natural, okay, there's some things in the natural I can do, but in the spiritual, I begin to talk to it. And I begin to talk to that particular organ in my body. And I begin to say to it, I command you to be normal size, green numbers, and healthy function.

And I said it. I said it in my prayer time. Organ, I command you to be normal size, green numbers, healthy function. And I would say it again, organ, I can't see the organ, but I'm talking to it. It can hear. James chapter 3 says that your words can control your entire body. Your body is listening to hear what your mouth is going to say in order to control what's going on. And so I begin to talk to it.

Oregon, and I named the Oregon, I commend you to be normal size, green numbers, healthy function. Though I need to tell you, I do need to tell you this. I asked them, I said, listen, I want to get referred somewhere. I want to do some more investigation of what's going on in that Oregon. So they sent me to different places and ultrasounds and all. They're like, you know, everything looks good. I said, but the numbers still seem to be high.

Well, yeah, maybe if you lose 40 pounds, know what it would look like if I lose 40 pounds. Thank you. You know, they say I'm obese. That's if you look at the chart, the chart says I'm obese, okay? If you lose 40 pounds, then maybe, I said, I ain't been, y'all talking about when I was in the 10th grade at that point. I said, no. I began to, I said, I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to start talking to it. And for a year, I talked to it. Normal size, healthy, green numbers, healthy function.

So I go get a physical on Friday. Hallelujah. And Friday night, they send you all the reports back. And I looked at that particular organ, and the graph dropped down just like that, a straight downward into the green numbers. Glory be to God. Hallelujah. I said hallelujah. I started talking to it. I jumped out of the bed, and Stacy was already up, which is rare because I'm normally up before she is. but she was up. I jumped out of the bed, and I ran to where she was.

I said, look right here, and there was a graph, and the graph was pointing down like this. I said, look what the Lord has done. You're going to have to get out of yourself. You're going to have to get a little bit uncomfortable, and you're going to have to start talking to things. I didn't talk to that organ in front of anybody else. I didn't go to Walmart and say, Oregon, Oregon, I need to, somebody give me the mic. I need to say this on a, Oregon, I'm talking to you.

No, this is just me and my prayer time. I don't even know where it's located, okay? I just knew it was somewhere in here. So I said, Oregon, I'm talking to you. Normal size, green numbers, healthy function. Amen. And that chart went down into the green numbers. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Listen, the first thing you got to do, I know it's the will of God for me to be healthy. Say that. God's will is for me to be healthy.

You have to know that first and foremost. Number two, I identify the problem. What is the problem? Number three, I begin to talk to the problem. Hallelujah. I begin to command it. You can talk to things. You can talk to things. You can talk to things. And they hear you. They hear you. That's why that graph went down into the green numbers. It hurt me.

And the next thing you need to do after you begin to talk to things and rebuke it and tell it where to go and what to do, the very next thing you need to do is just rest. Just rest. Hebrews 4, verse 3. I love what it says in Hebrews 4 and 3. For we who have believed do enter that rest. I'm just going to stop right there. For those who believe, enter rest. When you believe, you just rest. I identified the problem. I talked to the problem. And now I'm going to rest.

A couple weeks ago, and I have a hard time resting, full disclosure. I have a very hard time just resting. I like to work. I like to get things done. I'm always moving, have a hard time. And Stacey was like, just rest. And I'm like, I can't just sit here and rest. It was a couple of weeks ago. And my body was saying, you have no energy to do anything. You might as well rest. And the Lord, the Hebrews 4, 3 kept coming on the inside of me. If you believe, you'll rest.

If you believe, you're a ref. I said, well, I believe. I spoke to the flu. I commanded it to leave, and I believe that what I'm saying, it's happening and it's working. Jesus said death and—or in Proverbs it says death and life is in the power of your tongue. You have the power of death and life in your mouth. Jesus said in Mark 11, if you say to the mouth—not people trying to get Jesus to speak to the mountain. I wish Jesus would talk to that organ in my body. Come on, Jesus,

speak to that thing. Jesus said, you talk to it. If you say to the mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast in the sea. Don't doubt in your heart, but believe those things you say, you can have what you say. And so I began to talk to that organ. I began to talk to the flu. I said, no, I command you to leave. I still was feeling bad, but I ain't moved by how I feel. I'm moved by what I believe. And I'm getting stronger, and I'm getting stronger. And I rested,

and I took naps, and I took some medicine. Amen. The Word of God and medicine, they're not against each other, okay? Some people think, I got the Word, I don't need to take no medicine. That is a lie from the pit of hell. You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body, and your body needs some help sometimes. Now, the strong spirit of man will sustain him in sickness, but your body sometimes needs a little help. Several years ago, I told this story, I think it was 2013.

I got real sick in my body. Don't even know what happened. Begin to talk to the sick. I went to the doctor. Now, what do you do in this situation? I went to the doctor. I was having 103, 104 fever every day. We didn't know what was going on I was going to the doctor every day and I saw the doctor on Wikipedia and, I was telling them what I was feeling, and I looked, and they were on literally Wikipedia, and they said, you got some virus that a dog, some parvovirus. Have you ever heard of that?

I said, I ain't got no virus that no dog got. That's what I said. Nope. I said, you know what? I'm going to have to get this thing between me and God now, because whatever they recommend, I'm not taking. Are you listening to me? I didn't have no parvovirus or something. And I said, no, guys, I don't have the virus that a dog gets. They said, and it's supposed to this virus kills dogs. I don't have that virus. And so I said, you know what? The Lord sent his word and healed me.

That means the Lord sent his word and he took the sickness away from me. And so I began to play the word of God. I began to play the word, had the Bible just playing. and begin to listen to preachers that would teach on healing. And then that's when I created, I also have a healing confession that I created that I was ministering to you. If you're not feeling well, you can listen to it. And I speak healing over you, and I begin to listen to these things.

And then I begin to get strong on the Spirit, but my body stayed weak. I was so weak, Josh, that I couldn't pick up Zavin. He was two or three at the time. I couldn't pick him up. I physically couldn't pick him up. So I would sit down on the couch, and he would hop on my lap. I couldn't pick him up. I was weak. And Stacy heard from the Lord. She said, I went back to the doctor, and she said, tell them you need some iron. I said, iron? She said, I heard from the Lord. You need some iron.

So I went to the doctor, and I said, I need some iron. They said, no, your iron's fine. I said, you ain't testing my iron. You don't know if my iron's fine or not. I need you to test my iron. I need some iron. They came back, oh, my gosh, your iron is extremely low. I said, that's why I said I need some iron. They gave me some iron supplemental pills. Amen. I took those iron pills. Yes, I did. And I began to get stronger and stronger.

And one day I just woke up and I ran downstairs and ran up the stairs. I couldn't do that before. And I was preaching. I was sick for three weeks, 21 days. I was preaching the whole time. Y'all didn't know because I was sitting down up here, and what you didn't know, Steve out there by the door, was coming to my house, picking me up out of my bed, carrying me down the steps.

And I would come, and I went, you know, I get here, you know, and I got to church, you know, I was, you know, I was cool when I got here, you know. I don't need you, Steve. Get away, Steve, you know. I would come sit here. I would walk off. I would go out. He would meet me. He would grab me, and he would throw me in his truck and take me home. I was losing a pound a day. I lost 21 pounds in three weeks. Tenelle was telling me that something bad happened.

I said, I know something happened, but the Lord healed me. Amen. He healed me. He took the sickness away in an instant. I woke up on the 22nd day, and he took it away. And what did I do in the process? I tried to identify what was going on. I began to rebuke all the symptoms I had, and I did a lot of resting. I was laying around a lot just resting, resting, resting, and then the Lord took it away. Glory to God. He healed me. This is what he said to me during that season.

He said, my people don't prepare for long battles. Teach my people to prepare for long battles. And it was a season, in that time, I thought I had a 24-hour bug. So I treated it that way. And if you go into things like, well, you know what, this is only going to last a day or two, and that thing lasts three weeks, you're in trouble. And I was in trouble because I thought it lasted a day or two.

So now I'm in a fight. I'm in a battle. And I told the Lord, I know, I'm sorry, I told the devil, I'll fight this thing forever. I'm never going to give up. I had tears coming down my eyes. I'm in pain, but I'm going to fight this thing forever with the Word of God. He sent His Word, and He healed me. And by His stripes, I am healed. And Jesus healed them all, and all includes me. And I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. And I can do exceedingly abundantly.

And I begin to say that. And one day, I was free, glory to God. Somebody asked me one time, when am I going to receive my manifestation? I've been battling. If I could tell you a date, I think we all would be happy, right? Here's a date. Yeah, okay, you just got to hang on to that date. I don't know when that day is going to be, but I know we're built to fight. Are you listening to me? We're built to resist.

We're built to hold on to the Word of God. And Scripture promises us and tells us that in 1 Corinthians, put it on the screen, guys, 1 Corinthians 10, 13. I didn't give it to you earlier, but 1 Corinthians 10 and verse 13. I love this verse. One of my favorite verses in Scripture. 1 Corinthians 10, 13. It says that here... No task, no temptation has overtaken you except such as common to man. But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tested beyond what you're able.

That's who got a better amen than that. But with the testing and temptation will make the way of escape that you may be able to bear it. I love the part that he will not even allow you to be tempted or tested beyond what you're able. So if you go through it, you can get through it. Let me say it again. If you go through it, you can get through it. Let me say it one more time to get a better amen. If you go through it, you can get through it.

Hey, man, he's never going to allow you to go through something that you cannot get through. He won't even allow it because he's faithful. If it's too much for you, he'll say, they can't go through that. That's too much. But if you're in the middle of something impossible, say, God counted me as faithful. He sees that I can get through this thing. So he believes in me. And because he believes in me, I'm going to believe in me. And I'm going to believe in him.

And I'm going to get through it because he's faithful. Hallelujah. And so whatever you're going through, you can get through. All you got to do is begin to rebuke it. Whatever it is not from God, just rebuke it. That sickness is not from God, rebuke it. That arthritis is not from God, rebuke it. Dementia is not from God, rebuke it. The flu is not from God, rebuke it. COVID is not from God, rebuke it. You got to rebuke these things. You're going to have to open up your mouth and

talk to it and say, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. Stop. Cease to exist. You shall not operate in my life anymore. I command you to stop and one day. It'll all be over. Glory be to God. Hallelujah. I don't know when that day is. I don't know when it is, but it'll all be over one day. Glory to God. And then you will say, having done all the stand, I'm going to stand, therefore. All you got to do is just be one day stronger than your enemy. That's it. Just one day stronger than your enemy.

Just one day stronger than whatever is oppressing you, whatever is attacking you. Just be one day stronger than it. And get you some friends and say, listen, I might be feeling a little weak. And the friends tell you, girl, you got this thing now. Come on, ain't nobody as strong as you. And you can handle this thing. Hallelujah. I said, hallelujah. I said, hallelujah. So, number one, know that it's not from God. This is not from God.

Number two, identify what it is that's going on. I've got to know what's going on and identify it. Don't deny it. Identify it. Number three, talk to it. Talk to it. Like I was talking to the organ in my body, and the numbers went straight down. Matter of fact, if you see me off the church, I have the graph on my phone. Hallelujah. That number, that arrow went like this into the green numbers, glory to God. And then number four, rest. Just rest. He that believes is going to simply rest.

I'm trusting God. I'm not trying to work for this. I'm not trying to earn it. I'm just going to rest. I'm going to lay down. And, you know, sometimes some of the most spiritual thing you can do is just take a nap. Oh, you think spiritual is staying up all night praying? Sometimes being spiritual is just taking a nap. One day I was preparing to preach somewhere, and I was praying in the Spirit. And, oh, Lord, I'm preparing. The Lord said, just stop. I said, what? He said, rest.

Trust me. Trust the Holy Spirit. And I thought, you know what? And then I heard him say, take a nap. So I said, I'm going to take a nap. I'm going to rest because I know that God's going to use me tonight in Jesus' name. Amen. I didn't say be lazy. I said rest. I didn't say be lazy. I said rest. I didn't say be lazy. I said rest. Just rest, knowing that I believe and I trust God, and I'm just going to rest. I'm going to go to bed a little earlier tonight. I'm going to wake up a little

earlier. or I'm going to take a nap today. I'm just going to rest. I'm going to cease from my labor. I'm going to cease trying to make something happen. I'm going to stop trying to manipulate and get something done. I'm just going to rest. And when we cast our care on the Lord, that's a position of rest. Scripture says that he will care for us. One translation says that he will carry the care. Glory to God. He will carry the care for us if we'll just simply just rest. Amen? So what's number one?

Yeah, that's right. That's it. That's number one. This didn't come from God. What's number two? Identify. That's right. What's number three? Talk to it. And what's number four? Rest. This is how you experience true life.
