The Highgate Vampire was a media sensation surrounding reports of supposed supernatural activity at Highgate Cemetery in London in the 1970s.

This sensational claim was sparked when several people came out saying that they had witnessed a dark malevolent shape sliding and slithering along the outside walls of the cemetery whilst they were passing by.

This was even more disturbing for these witnesses as they the cemetery is surrounded by houses on all sides and the witnesses all lived in close proximity to the site.
