Ella Mae Begay disappeared from her home overnight on June 14, 2021 in Sweetwater, AZ. Ella Mae was 62 at the time, and had been very cautious about COVID-19. She had not been allowing anyone into her home. Ella Mae is well known as an accomplished pictorial rug weaver. A person of interest, Preston Tolth, has been named and is being held on unrelated charges. Ella Mae’s case is considered a homicide, but progress seems to have slowed.
