4-year-old Derrick Robie, was “ebullient, precocious, doted on by all who knew him, a ripper of a kid in short sleeves and suspenders with a mop of blond hair and a mischievous grin.” Everything changed for the Robie family on August 2, 1993. 13-year old Eric Smith was angry, upset, and ready to take it out on someone.
