Eric Hicks was a loving and empathetic soul. He would give you his shirt if you needed it. But when he was murdered the media portrayed him in such a negative light that it made prosecuting his killer extremely difficult. He was murdered in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2017. His killer was arrested but his plea deal felt like a slap in the face to his mother, Lisa.
