Tango tango papa 214 01/07/4224. Have we seen the actual reality of a month to crime or merely an illusion, the product of a tortured brain. Good. Good morning. Good afternoon. Good evening, Tom Wei here with you coming to you from retirement. So I'm at home. I retired on July the eighth. And so what's today today is the 20 second. So Let's see. 09/18/1920 21 22. So it's been about a week. Or 2 weeks rather, 2 weeks, 14 days.
So, what ended up happening, I had a load that because at first, there were, you know, when I first was talking to the asset manager, he said, well, you can... Or or in the other people they said you could take the truck to just the nearest terminal company terminal. And so they've a kind of a small company terminal that doesn't have a shop, but it does have off an office and office employees and trailer parking and truck parking, what have you. Over in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
That's about a hundred and 20 miles from where I live and in Arkansas. So that was originally, that's what, you know, we kinda talked about. But then, when it came down to it, I ended up with a load that delivered to saint Joseph Missouri. And so the Kansas City Missouri terminal, is about, let's say roughly 45 to 50 miles away from where I unloaded at in Saint. Joseph. It was actually... It turned out to be a drop in hook. And so on... Then that was on the
Believe that you they... That was on the eighth. That was on July the eighth. That was on Monday, July the eighth. And so after, you know, I I actually delivered did the drop in hooks on the seventh and late in you know, kind of later in the evening. So I went ahead and drove down to the Kansas city terminal and I spent the night there. And then I went in the next morning after the office opened, and
retired. Well, actually before that, at what what I did, I ended up getting an Uber calling in over to come and pick me up, that turned out to be a little harder than you know, because I needed to get the rental car. So, you know, that night, I reserved the rental car, which ended up was a mitsubishi out outlined, which was okay so kind of a mid I guess it's considered a mid midsize Suv.
It has a Cv t, which sort of mimics an automatic transmission, but it still seem like the things slipping, you know, the way the engine rev. But anyway, that in order to go pick that up. I I, you know, I use the app on my phone for Uber and So the first 1 was, you know, they were close by, and they were supposed to just be there right away. Well, of course, when you if you've ever gotten an uber with the app on your phone, you can actually see, you know once someone's
accepted it. That you can actually see where the the person is at. That's gonna to pick you up. Well, I waited, and I waited, and I waited, and it was like 30 minutes. And it was that it showed the thing like, 2 and a half miles away. And so what it was, it was... The Uber was parked at there's a truck stop, flying Jay truck stop that's just a couple of miles or a little over from the Kansas City, Missouri company terminal. It's a couple miles south along the interstate 04:35.
And for whatever reason after the person accepted the my ride, they just sat there, and they continue to sit there. And so I canceled that 1, and I ordered another 1, and the the, the next 1 showed right up. And the guy took me to the rental place where I rented the car at... I think it turned... It was from, believe it was Avi. I rented the car from.
And so I was able to pick the car up, and then I brought the brought it back to the terminal, and I loaded all of my stuff into the, you know, from the the truck into the car, and then I went in the office and told him I was retiring and blah blah blah. So what ended up happening? I... You know, I had to sign a a heavy sign a a resignation letter and you put down your... The reason you're resigning, of course in my aces because I was retiring.
And so that's... And then the next step after that, I turned the, truck into their shop. They have a shop there at Kansas City. And kind of smaller shop. They're, you know, they've got bigger ones in other places, but that was sort of a smaller 1. And so It's not the smallest, but it's... Might say it's sort of mid sized shop. But anyway, I turned the truck into the shop and you know, you know, gave him the keys, and then I was
off on my way. So it It ended up being about noon by the time I get out of there. Noon or there's maybe 12:30. And so I made it home I guess it was around 5, something whenever I made at home, and I was able to unload the car. I unloaded all the stuff out of the Suv, and then, I had a a friend that that was nice enough to offer to come and because he lives near the airport. There's x a It's called X in a national airport for Northwest Arkansas, and he actually lives just a few miles
from it. And so he offered to come pick me up at the airport because that's where all the car. You know, the you know, if you rent a car, you know, from point a to point b and, like a 1 way rental, they all... Typically they all go to airports. It's not always true, but that's it's true in the vast vast number of cases. You know, you rent the car... That sort of rental comes from an airport and that goes to an airport. But it's not always
true. For example, you know, I picked up where I picked it up It was in the North Kansas city and was riding in town. So North Kansas City, Missouri. So anyway, yeah, he came and picked me up at the airport after I got the... I got the car turned in what's that turned out to be a very easy process. And so I was able to just, pull into the parking lot basically and the guy came and took the keys and young, I you know, I'd already had all my stuff out of it, and so that was that. And turned it in.
I think they may given me a receipt or something. But anyway, then my friend, we stop on the way he... Because he brought me all the way out back to my back out to my house. And so... But in the meantime, we stopped an a and then he brought me on out here and then then he went on
home. So that was very nice of him to offer give me a ride because otherwise, I would have probably what I would had to do was wait until so, you know, the next morning, the Tuesday morning, and then take the car out there early because they, you know, had the you know, they had it on the paper that it... You know, you rent it for 24 hours and they wanna there by, the time you rent it. I rented it.
I guess it was around 9AM or something something like that at 9 09:30AM whenever I got thing rented. After I got there with the Uber ride, and so and I had to wait in line too, once I got to the rental agency. But so I would have had to turn the car in by 9 or 09:30 whatever the time was. The next Tuesday morning and it so I would have had to gotten up early and, you know, driven to the airport and and then gotten an uber ride home. So having him, we just come and pick me
up. I was able to turn the car in the same day that I rented. You know, just that evening. They're they're there, I think and at that rental... The rental place, they'll they'll receive. I think it was like 10 or 11:00 at night, so that worked out flying. So anyway, since I've been home, I've you
know, kind of started putting things away. And, of course, then the last Saturday, of course, the Donald Trump assassination attempt took place, and I have been kind of, obsessively watching all sorts of videos, talking about that. You know, and there's more and more information that's being revealed. Now, by the way, I'm actually sitting outside right now on my back deck. So it's kinda hard for me to tell you may or may not hear some insects in the background.
But you know, And then at some point, the the the air conditioner compressor is gonna... You know, for the central air is gonna kick on. And so you'll you'll probably hear that. But like I say, you may or may not be able to hear the insects. I... I'll be able to tell you know, once I'm able to listen back to to the recording, then I can tell what was... You know, what actually ended up
being in it. But anyone is listened to me is used to trucks the idling and the motor starting and stopping and the air brakes and all kinds of different noise So I've never been 1 to obsessively worry about noises and fan, you know, people worry about fan, little fans going, and they turn their air conditioning off, and etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. And that's... I don't know. I think that's a little over the top, but maybe some people ob obsessed over such things.
So anyway I've been watching quite a few videos about the Trump assassination attempt, and it's it pretty clear that, you know to me that either the secret service was just absolutely completely app or I think there's probably you on, You can call me a conspiracy theorist if you want to. But I think there's probably you a, somebody somewhere. It's not all of them. There's... It all it takes is 1 or 2 people in the wrong place. You know, let's say they've they've got control over certain aspects.
Takes 1 or 2 people to be in the wrong place, and they can they can really screw something up. Or make something possible. And but in this case, it didn't work. And so I think Donald Trump is can, you know, basically thank God, god spared him. And I, you, I really do believe that. And you could say, oh, it's just a...
It was just a weird coincidence that eternity had right at the right time, and there was this Also, this breeze came along just the right time that happened simultaneously, that that you know, could, you know, could end that pro possibly ended up, sort of pushing the trajectory of the ballistic off just a little bit. Just enough where it ended up, you know, in combination with him turning his head, it just made it so that it graves is here.
But know, that he was just, like, a millimeter away from, being, you know, having his head blown off... It's pretty incredible. So anyhow, I've been watching a lot of that, and there's more and more information that's coming out. And there's some... There's there's some, a lot of speculation But and the reason there's so much speculation is because the government, the agencies involved are just completely stonewall everything
they seem. You know, I've watched a good chunk of congressional testimony of that Kim, what's her name Kim Chat, chat, whatever. Think is Kim Chat, the director of the secret service agency, and she just Stonewall and spent hours stonewall all the questions and they they could barely get any information out of her at all. She just kept saying, well, you'll have to refer to the Fbi but I don't wanna taint the Fbi investigation. I wanna make sure absolutely sure
that I give you just facts. And, you know, so she was she's probably gone. You know, she she might as well, she's saying she's not gonna resign, but believe me, she's gonna resign. Or she's gonna be fired. I was watching Bill O'reilly. You know, he used to be on Fox, and now he's got his thing on Youtube. And maybe some other platforms, but you know, you know, like him or hate, you know, he can be a bit of abrasive at times and a little bit bit brag, but
he's pretty accurate with what he says. And 1 of the things that he said was it, you know, pull the political stuff really easy to figure out. If you, you know, you can take like the head of a corporation or the head of a country, for example, you know, people that are in political power. Once they lose power, they get kicked out very quickly. And it's pretty clear that, this Kim chat, channel chat, whatever her name is. You know, has really... She just... You know,
if she's lost control of the agency. Whatever control she had over it as director of the secret service, she's lost. And so somebody her head... Her her job is gonna roll. You know, somebody's... They're gonna find it useful. Someone's gonna find it useful to just get rid of her you know, and then they'll probably blame her for the shortcomings. You know, when it... You know, and it may not be here entirely her fault. You
know, although she... Like she says like, the buck stops with me, but then she doesn't wanna really take responsibility for it. You know, what... That hearing today 1 of the congressman that was participating in the hearing By the way, it was a, you know, you know, the the Democrats and the Republicans both were really just running this woman over the rails. They were asking even K Cortez was Alexandria K Cortez act asking some pretty good questions. I was impressed.
She was asking some pretty pertinent questions But anyway, this 1 1 congressman, the older man... What, you know, an older man was saying that at 1... You know, he before he became congressman at 1 time, he was in charge of a large, like a segment of At and T for some portion of the country for with At and T. And so and when he was responsible, you know, for different At and t, you know, At and T operations in his sector, and he said I have a real had a really good working knowledge of it.
And if something went wrong, I could absolutely just explain it to to, you know, I couldn't stonewall wall to the the people that were over me. I was able to just immediately. I had a good good working knowledge of what was going on. I could just you know, I I knew what was happening if something went wrong, etcetera. And, you know, and that didn't phase this woman at all. She just... She continued to stonewall. And
so see what happens. But you know, and back in the day, you know, whenever the Kennedy assassination happened or, you know, previously, there was no Internet, Nowadays everybody, you go to an event like that or are you watch an event like that on Tv, you know, any kind of a the end of the video. And you see the... Everybody's got their cell phone in a vertical
position. They've got the cell phone and they've got it just they're holding it out, like it's you know, some sort of a candle or something. Holding it out in front of them, all of them, you know, just like, you know, Kinda like zombies. But in in any case, so there's all kinds of recordings. So they can say 1 thing, You know, at first, she said, well, we didn't have anybody on that other roof. It was... Their slope involved and
that turned... That was... She was just throwing something against the wall see if it was stick. At first, she said, well, the the plea... The local police were in charge of that little segment. That that particular building. You know, anybody with, you know, even a novice going in there, you would you would look at that and you'd say I want someone on this building and this these... And then they... The 2 that they had the actual their snipers on.
You know, the government version or the government snipers. Those 2 buildings yeah, you'd have somebody on there. They were sort of behind the Trump, you know, the behind the podium, orientation, but then you'd have someone on that third building. Well they get... Oh, the the local police were responsible for that. You know, and that's... This doesn't make any
sense. You know, he has a clear line sight and then this stupid 20 year old that those seemed to be totally apt was able to just roll up and, you know, Fly drone a couple of, at least once. Maybe you're in the morning, and then, you know, kinda look at it, and then he was out walking around and had he got, you know, like a range finder. You like if people have, you know, when they're paying golf or whatever or shooting.
At his range finder and he was just out walking around, and then the people saw him on the if after Trump had already come out. And was starting in speech. There there were people, you know, and I'm sure you seen the video. You pointing. He's on the roof. He's got a gun. He's on the roof. He's got a gun and you get on just let it go. And then you had the shots that came out and you know, and all of the shots happened.
They didn't do it just to... You know, the the the secrets or whoever the sniper was, could've have been, you know, as soon as they saw that the the guy was on the roof of the gun, they should nailed him. They should have eliminated the threat. They keep saying. At that point, They waited until, you know, there were 3 shots, and then there were several, you know, several more And then finally, I think you know, several seconds go by and then they zap.
You know, And there's a single shot from the the government snipers that take him out. But why did they allow all those shots to take place. That's insane. Someone, you know, of that corey comp died He was murdered. You know, if you go to a political rally, do you expect to to be shot? Killed. You know, 2 other people were, you know, actually injured pretty severely, they're gonna recover, but you know, you go to AAA rally like
that. You you... You know, I've went to an early Trump rally back in 20 16. When Trump was first running for president, I went where a had 1 out at the x n airport. There's a, like a Tyson foods hanger, big, you know, so that it was an indoor rally. I got up there. I don't remember what time the rally was supposed to be. I think it was supposed to be sometime in the afternoon, And I got there at some point, I thought I was gonna
there early. I got there in the morning and there was already quite a long line, and I ended up being probably about because the way they, you know, standing room only, and they just started lining this lining people up in the front. Where the the front of the thing was, and then the the front of it was open. They had the they had the doors you know, the thing was all opened up. To the, you know, and you could see that... You know, and once the Trump plane came
in and he came down. And so I was probably about maybe 30 feet from him. You know, But I had... I ended up standing there for several hours and, you know, that they've I managed, but the whole thing filled up, and there's no telling in how many thousands of were there. And then, of course, that it filled completely filled the... The... This large aircraft hanger completely up And then there were people outside that were, you know, listening to the... That loud outside.
And then, of course, it was a massive traffic jam leaving it afterwards. But you know, even then they, you know, they you walk through magnet, and then they they sort of look you over. You know, it wasn't... It this the security wasn't severe in order to get in there, but they made sure you didn't have a gun or anything. So, you know, and I... And in that situation, I felt perfectly safe. And you'd think, you know, you go to something like that. You're gonna be safe. So
We'll see what happens. I think a lot of things are in the process of being exposed and you know, it's where we live in very, very interesting times. That's for sure. So so far so good with me being,
retired. I've been like I said, I've been kind of watching you know, you know, I've been kind of intrigued with the the with this Trump assassination attempt, and, you know, and But in the meantime, I've been trying to, you know, 1 of the things I really have neglected over the years is kinda cleaning in the house. I like things kinda neat really if I'm sort left to my own devices. All tend to have things really clean and neat.
And you know, with me, you know, when I was working, me only being home 5 days out of the month, that was kinda hard. And I... It was easy for me to sort of feel overwhelmed, you know, how how can I keep this clean or clean it up once done, and it tends to, you know, dust to accumulates etcetera, etcetera? So I've kinda of been spending some time every day cleaning, you know, cleaning this room, cleaning that room. And now, day before was it, yeah know, it
Saturday so that was stable for yesterday. My youngest brother, I gave him my motorcycle. Told him he could have it, you know, he to come get it. You know, And so he finally, you know, this has been months ago. I told him to come get it. Well, he finally came and got it Saturday. And so I'm rid of it. It's out. I had it in the shed, and it's out of this... You know, it's taking up lots of room. So now I've got a whole lot more room in the shed. So I bought another went lowe's
yesterday. I went to 1 of the lowe's stores, and I bought a fair out, you know, it's like a 4 foot or maybe a little bit wider self, 5 5 shelves, 6 feet high, you know, probably about a foot and a half deep. So it's a pretty good sized shelf and that'll allow me to kind of organize, you know, there's some of the stuff, some stuff that I had in the house. That really can go in the shed that... That's easy it's easier and better if I just keep it in the shed, and you know, so that's
kind of all that problem. And then if I needed it, if I fill, you know, fill new shelf up, I've still got room for more more shelves. So But right now, I'm not bored at all. Like I say, I've been not really working on it solid, but spending time every day trying to, you know, clean this up and clean that up and reorganize this and reorganize that. And, you know, my intention is to kinda work my way through the entire house. So... And, you know, and it know, and if you were to come and
see my house, it's, you know, you... It doesn't look dirty to start with. But you know, like I say, I tend... If I'm left to my own devices, I, probably tend to want things to be as clean as possible and neat. So you know, But then again, I can be... You know, I can be a little sloppy as well, like when I was in the truck. Of course, the problem living in a truck. You know, there's you could... I had to carry all this stuff with me so I could be gone for weeks at a time.
And that made it difficult to to kinda stay organized or keep things clean. And so it it tended to be kinda messy, but you know, my own vehicles are really clean and, you, and no mess at all, and that's really what I want the house to be. So I'll get there. I'm working on it. So anyway, I've got 3 I think 3 or 4 messages 1 of them is real short, But the... So real 3 messages 3 longer messages from Joel. So here is Joel. Hey tom, Joel locked on here.
And in the car get ready to go to the local metro park being kind of a short. Kind of I don't know if I wanna call it a recovery hike, but a hike. Trail I'm probably gonna go on is what I've been doing pretty regularly did it week before vacation quite a bit. And it's about 1.9 miles, couple hills on it. It doesn't drastic. It's the great daily worked out, not something I'm doing in preparation for the hike I'm doing the... Which is the Mammoth March in Southeast Ohio.
Which is a 20 mile hike around Bur oak, State park, the lake in the park, so it'll be going all around that lake. But that's kind of what I've been doing for exercise. Now that the weather is nice all the time. Even though it's a little high. I don't care. It's not raining. That's a good thing. So I'll be walking around the that. Right now, running track of my workout with which is I have the pixel watch at the... Which that uses a fit that currently. And I currently do pay for the
premium plan. I may stop that once to get my new device. I just ordered a garmin 7... Phoenix it's spelled F fe IX7X, which is a watch its more towards maturing and hiking and biking and stuff like that, outdoor activities. Pricing thing is I think the daily, like, just do normal daily use like me, you know, work out. For half hour an hour, a day, where around a house, tracking your sleep. The battery is gonna be around I think they said
30 to... 15 to 30 days. It's gonna depend on all your other things that you we can do with it. But the nice thing is it... It's not where less It's not apple Apple watch. It's. And garmin has been doing Gps since since the very beginning of consumer level of Gps. So, it will track your hike that's the all sorts of cool things with the biggest reason I got it is that not only, Oh, when I have the solar version or ordered that has a ring around the display that is a solar panel.
And as you're hiking, it will absorb solar solar energy and contribute to keeping your watch going. So I think when you're under a full track, like it will be for the hike and will will be for most of my practice hikes, from when I get it until the hike, which is August third. I'll have it with the full multi band Gps. So it should have very accurate cracks of my hike.
It also does work with, I believe it also works with all trails, which is an app I do subscribe to for hiking for fighting trails and you could rate trails and review trails and stuff. Very, very useful. Why am I getting at with all this? Well he said you might think about, like, maybe doing a part time out because he can't do anything. Why don't you try AII think you said 1 of your earlier shows that you enjoy walking.
Aren't tried doing hiking, and maybe even looking at maybe possibly hiking 1 the big 3 trails, they have a the triple crown, which is consists of the appalachian trail, the continental divide trail and the Pacific crest trail. It's something to think about anyway. I know that my my retirement goal would be to go hike the appalachian trail. That's usually about a 6 month commitment depending on how fast you decide you wanna go.
I see 6 months because it'd be an awful shame to go walking out in that beautiful wilderness and not take pictures, not enjoy yourself and enjoy what god's created. So that's kinda why I like hiking. So You anyway, congratulations on your retirement from SIIII do realize why why you wanna do that and I certain to get to be that age too, but I've got about 12 to 15 more years yet before I'm ready to retire. And hopefully, by time ago The stock market's too well. My
4 okay. 04:01 k is doing much better. So take care, my friend. Talk you later. Thank you, Joel. So, now, my ga... You talked about a garmin watch. I have you know, this is the Samsung Galaxy watch 5 pro, whatever. And I don't know. I think it... It's capable of tracking. You know, like a walk or whatever.
Now the phone, I don't know if that's really necessary because it does tracks apps and the phone tracks, you know, even without the watch, the phone is tracking you know, you know, it's using the Gps location. So it's that part kinda being tracked anyway. So
I don't know. At 1 point, I... You know, you know, with this mower that I have the writing mower from John Deere, they've got this app that you can open up the app and and you know, and then it it tracks it it tracks as you sort of go back and forth on the mower, you know? And The problem with that app, the with the John deere app is that it really... It sucks battery like mad or at least it did.
And this has been... It's been... You know, I don't know a couple years since I even, you know, I only used it right after I first got this this particular mower. It's probably more than a couple of years. Probably at least 3 years. Ago whenever I got this mower, so you know, and it sucked battery like mad. So I... You know, And and it was useless because we I still have to mow. You know, who cares if it's you know, if I can open up the thing, and
I can see that. Whoa, I went back and forth and back and forth and back and forth for 2 or 3 or 4 hours. Whoop d do. So Now as far as me hiking ain't gonna happen. Not, you know, and it's not because I have anything against hiking, The problem is I don't have any interest in it. The most interest I have is you know, kind of walking in the park. And I'm not... Actually, I I'd probably, you know, try to do that every day, but I haven't doing it every day. It... Now
I finally did cool off. We did went the first week or so that I... After I retired, it was that it was just hot and humid. It was really hot. It was oppressive. So now this this week has been different. You it's been quite a bit cooler. Right now, it's, at least according to my watch. It says it's 69 degrees. So wherever they're getting the data from. But and and it's probably right. This has been... You know, it's been getting
down in the sixties. And I think today, it he bet it was cloudy and and, we did get a little rain here and there. And I think that the temperature made it into this maybe 75, 76 degrees, and that was the high. Which that's quite unusual for July, you know, because usually July and then August typically is the hottest month and then at least around here. And then it it cools off. Usually, it cools off right after labor day.
You know, usually, labor labor day happens like septic what that septum 6, then it's, like the next day, that somebody flipped the switch, and all of a sudden it's cooler. It's cooler. I think the jet stream changes but in any case right now, it's it's been cool the past few days, so I should get out and walk again. But,
yeah, I that... Yeah. I just don't have any interest in hiking, and I and I know that I you know, the the thing is if If I don't have any interest in something, I can't I can't force myself to do it. You know, it's like people. You know, they they make their new like New year's resolution. They're gonna go to the gym 3 times a week. And maybe, you know, that... And then they go to the gym,
typically what ends up with most people. Though maybe go to make the trip to the gym for about 3 times, and then they've got You know, this other rebellious part of them is making all kinds of excuses why they can't go. So that's typically what happens. You know, you gotta really be interested in something and and what I found is that I really cannot control what I'm interested in. You know, I can I can kind of
train myself? If I'm if I'm interested if I'm really interested in something, I can kinda rest retrain myself to a certain extent, but not really, but I can't on the the flip side of that, I can't suddenly decide. Well, I'm gonna be interested in such and such and and try to force myself to do. I can't do it. It doesn't work. So... But like I said, I don't have anything against hiking, and I know people really enjoy doing it. It's not me. So not not gonna happen.
But I will get out and walk. I do do enjoy walking, but I'm not... You know, it's just gonna be 1 of those things that I just sort of throw in here and there, you know, as As I as I sort develop a a routine of what I'm gonna be doing. So right now, I'm kind of settling into into cleaning the house. And I'm not really not really bored. Yet. So I haven't... That was my big fear is that once I retired, I was gonna end up being not having not having anything to do or
not having any purpose. And so far that hasn't happened. So, you know, once I really get the house clean and organized, might be a different story, but at the at the present moment, you know, I'm I'm really really am enjoying you know, not having to go back out in the truck, you know, because it... Typically, I was home for about 5 days, and then I'd be gone for 3 and 3, 3 and a half weeks, and I did that for years and years and years. So anyway, I've got more from Joel. So once again here is
Joel. Tom. It's Joel Block here. And hopefully like you said at home, getting some well need and rest from more and so hard on the road over the years, and just wanted to share some of the thoughts I'm thinking, you know, I I will say, you know, Evs, electric, you they're not gonna... I mean, a lot of folks will say that they're the, you know, the savior of the environment, which they really aren't for multiple our reasons, but the I'm thing I'm thinking about here is it's not any
specific... Well, it's 1 specific vehicle, and that's the cyber company. It has a polarizing design. You. I know you... I know you said... Look, you think it looks like somebody put it together with pilot or something like that. You know, like, when you're a kid, you. And and that's you. Like, I can see that, you know, not everyone's supposed to like every vehicle. Okay, But and the looks... You know, thing you'll don't wanna get because of how it looks I get it. No. That's fine.
Yeah, and it's a and it's a fair thing. But the 1 thing that really bothers means is when people will base it on bell at assumptions about the vehicle like, there's a recent article from the drive where I guess, somebody got lace when shutting a door on cyber truck. And people are like, hey, it's a design flaw. It's a design for... Well, hear me out. I mean, 19 70 something. I was getting in the back of, my uncle great question should say, had a ford maverick.
And guess where Joel had his fingers where they don't belong with somebody is closing the door. So my finger got slammed in the door, and I got a cut. That's a a particular issue that's not specific to cyber? You know, are there things design wise that can be do to make it less likely to happen sure, but it's just as easy to happen is just to be careful what you're doing.
Yeah. Same with the with the frank I think they someone said they sliced off they did test and they sliced carrots and and hot dogs in the in the front, I'm like, yeah. But if you're mo and you have your fingers where they don't belong. Of course, they're gonna gonna cut them. Yeah, So those are things bothers me That plus people who have a misconception of of what it can and can't do. You know, for example, you know, the they'll use their their opinion on design and say it's a piece of crap.
When, you know, hey, I've had plenty of cars that I owned over the years that Thought where I lead because that's what I bought because that's what I can afford. I've created. That's not happening here on the cyber truck, You know, But But they'll use looks as a way to say, well, it's it's a trash vehicle. It and the simple fact is is it's not a trash vehicle. It's just a vehicle that's not suited to you. For example, as I get older 1 of the things I'm considering doing is I'd like to get,
like a camper, like in our... You, ideally, I'd love 1 it's really nice Rv with the engine, you know, that can tow a vehicle behind, you know, but that's not necessarily realistic because, you know, some of those big Rv will cost million dollar So it's like that, You know, I'm not gonna buy a vehicle to cost that much. So what I'm thinking about is more like a trailer, not necessarily a fifth wheel, but
something like that. It's big enough just big enough to have a very basic environment inside air conditioning. I even be happy with pop up. My wife not so much. So with something like that. I mean, I'd even go as small as a these cured up trailers I have, because, honestly, if I'm towing something behind me. I am not gonna go to a place it doesn't have a shower and the bathroom from. Okay? And I... And it's not gonna hurt me 1 Iota I order to grab a bag of clothes. And my
toiletries and stuff to take with me. Go take Sharon share house. It dressed in Share house. And then go back to the campsite side. That's not hurting. I also don't need to have a a kitchen inside these things. But those are just stupid little things, but ideally though is I want tote behind a vehicle. Okay? My my current vehicle, which is a, 20 22 chevrolet to traverse reverse front wheel drive version. A tours Rs trim level if that matters.
But that can only tow about 1500 pounds, so that's not gonna be sufficient. Okay. I'm looking at 1 product gonna be between the 3002 4000, maybe from this much as 5000 towing. Needed. So I would look at, like, either, like, a a Colorado, Chevrolet Colorado or a Silverado or even for whatever, a pickup truck, you know, Cyber truck could do that. But but only if you're staying like limited range from your home. Every electric truck, be it before lightning, the cyber truck.
Maybe be the r. I'm not sure the arabian might might be okay. I have to look and see, I haven't looked too much on the rem. But most every E truck I've looked at, their, capacity goods way down. When you're towing something, capacity. I mean, how far you can drive? Your your the distance range you you wanna drive. Alright. So that's 1 thing that that's a
negative on the cyber truck for me. Another thing it's a negative on the cyber truck in or any E for that matter is there's no no E that will let me drive from Grove city, Ohio, suburb both Columbus down to Knoxville Tennessee in 1 charge. I can get to the Knoxville in right around 6 hours, maybe a little bit longer if I have to take a extended break, which hardly happens. And know I stopped usually stopped long enough
to pee, and that's about it. But if I had to meet E, I would have to stop somewhere between Grove City and Knoxville in order to get at least a 15 to 20 minute charge, so that I can make it all the way. And that also doesn't doesn't really help with the rest of the distance with the rest of the trip because because when I look at, where super supercharger are and specifically for Tesla, in the Knoxville area, there's is exactly 1 and then it's on the subsided of town from where my dad lives.
1 thing it is helping things is the proliferation of E Americas charge stations, in in other charge stations plus, the connector that the Tesla uses is now considered to be the North American standard for charging. So the charge infrastructure... You're really starting to get built out a lot more than we probably think and a lot more than I really know. The only reason I'm saying is is because I have watched some videos of people who have these cars, like specifically technology
connections. He has a being ion. Alright. But even with see at that infrastructure. I look at trips that I've taken in the past, like, I've gone from from Row City to North Carolina going through West Virginia and places like at some of these places also, where that, you know, a few years ago, they had that snowstorm, where gas vehicles were probably fine. But because, you know, the e electric, for the heat pump has to be on the whole time, you're stuck in traffic, that the range went down pre.
So now I think there are ways that they can fix that part of it, for example... But not easily, I should say. But 1 example, would be you have a a dedicated battery towards making it go in a dedicated battery for powering the accessories. And don't mean like, like, just a... The they all have 12 volt batteries too. But they would need something substantial. I e, no car could carry both the batteries that you need to run things like the heat or in the stay warm, and
the 1 to make it go. You can't really do it separate. The way the way things are designed because because the weight considerations. They're gonna be very heavy. So I do you think that eventually Evs will be the future then maybe be the future in trucks, cars, everything. But I know that that, you know, the way I look at it is I don't look at them as a fixed for global warming because it's not gonna do that. At least not until you get far more clean or
power, more solar. So we're can can work in a lot of areas, not so much in Ohio, but, you know, that will help. I think, like, if something like cool, like, a fusion becomes the thing. Then we're talking. Then we're talking. Alright. I know E sales aren't doing great. But I do know that that as time goes on, the technology is gonna get better, and I think eventually, I'll will probably have 1 in my lifetime. So, but for now, I'll stick with Gas
far. And and that's the other thing that a lot of the top park companies you seem to seem to forget here is I cannot afford to buy a car, any... Like, E that that we use only when I'm in grove city, you know, like to drive the church, drive the grocery store stuff like that. And 1 that I would use on long trips because that's the way It has to be right now. I'd have to have a gas car for a long trip and E for a you know, run around town, neil.
I can't do that. You know, unless unless that car is very small, like like a smart car or something like that. Then I could probably get away with that, you know, cost wise, but, I don't really wanna have a smile you know. But, you know, it's interesting technology. And I and I think that it's getting an unfair ramp because there some people that are like, oh, I like the big engines and the noise they make and
stuff like that. I'm like, well, I get that, but that's gonna be the pass so you need to get over it. Take care, Bud. Enjoy your rig case. Thank you again, Joel. So the cyber truck, you know, of course, you know, any vehicle you can you know, slam your hand and you're now your fingers in the door. What... I think every kid has done that. Because I remember doing it. I've seen, you know, like my younger brothers do it. I've seen cousins do it. You know? And then so it happens.
Not so much you know, with like a trunk or whatever. But, of course, there aren't that many cars that would automatically open and close a trunk. Or in the case of the cyber truck, it's the trunk. I think that's kinda gimmicky. Another thing I think is gimmicky is you know, you have the the vehicles with the the running boards and you open the door and the thing comes out. It's motorized and it comes out and he closed the door, and it just goes back
in. I think that's a total gimmick. I know some people like that. But I think that's just that's a complete gimmick and then and it's... You know, and of course, whatever it is. The motors are gonna die at some point. It's either gonna be stuck out or stuck in. So... But, you know, they the gimmicky stuff, you know, power windows, obviously, that that's in that's standard now in pretty much every vehicle. And it has been for some time. You know, there's no no crank roll up windows
anymore. That's that's a completely think with past. And I don't think anybody's really complained about that. I'm sure there there probably are a few people that have, but because They say, well, the more stuff you have more, you know, Gizmos you have, the more likely it is to get the things gonna fail. Something's gonna fail and that to a certain extent that is true.
But in any case, I think the problem with the cyber truck, you know, apart from the styling, and, of course, you'd you say that sort of polarizing either like it or you don't. The... It's not really practical as a truck because you can't really lift things over the side very easily, you know, over the side of the bed because the you know, that wedge shape. So it's... And then if you... You know, an
you have the thing. You know, you have the built in ton out cover closed, then it blocks the rearview mirror or or the whatever rear mirror that they have. It blocks that and then people were also complaining about the mirrors something that are on the doors that they're just not the way they're shaped. They're just not practical. Too small. And then, of course, then you had the center screen, which...
You know, I don't think it's such a great idea to have people fit with a sort of, like an ipad device sits in the middle of the dash and you've got... There's no speed and you've gotta look to the center for everything. I think this super aesthetic is really is is form is function over or form over function rather and taken to an extreme. And maybe that appeals to some people, I think it's kind of stupid myself.
But anyway, the, I think where the cyber truck kinda, you know, apart from the styling, which again, that's... That really is subjective. Where a sorta of goes off the rails, people you know, have sliced themselves on sharp edges. And and most... You know, most vehicles are designed with they're not designed with sharp edges. You can just accidentally kinda cut yourself on. And, you know, there's
bunch of people that have... You know what we the people that I've watched on Youtube that have had them or still have them. Have ended up cutting themselves. You know, you know, rubbing their arm, you know, kinda inadvertently bumping their arm against the corner or whatever, and they they got themselves. So that's... I don't know. I remember, you know, way back reading you know, back when it... You had the car magazines and this goes way back into the seventies. I would read the car
magazine... You know, where they review the car... They do the car reviews, and it was, you know, back in the days of magazines. And I can remember, you know, someone was reviewing a It was like a kit car. You know? And it might... Yeah. I don't know. They may have been the the it may have been talking about the Del lori But or it was either the Del lori or
a kit car. And they were saying that the problem with the kit car is that, you know, they don't really think of all the things that a regular car manufacturer, you know, it kind of bought automatically builds into vehicles. And a good example of that, and the the example they gave in that magazine article was drip molding. You know, at, normally, let's say you open your trunk up, there's drip... They've... It's designed
in such a way that if it's... If the car is wet, that the water's is not gonna drip down into the trunk. You know, Now that... You know, or or you open the car to and it and the water's not gonna drip on you because there's a... There's typically some sort of a drip molding and that's that's part of the design. And I don't know that you know, the cyber truck has taken that, but that's just an example. I don't know if cyber truck has drip molding or not, but it does have its,
you know, it's... It does seem like it's an incomplete vehicle. You know, especially with people, you know, just inadvertently cutting themselves on the aluminum that, you know, that are just in many cases that are just kinda nice sharp. So... But, you know, someone wants to spend that much money on a vehicle you got the money. Have it, you know, it's your... You work for the money? Have added. Now as far storm capacity, they really any vehicle. You know, if you...
Like, my pickup right now, it gets... It's if I drive it out on the highway, it'll do about, let's say, around 20 and a half miles you know, maybe 21 miles per gallon. If it's just out on the highway and it's just a long trip, and I'm not stopping and starting much. You know, it it's it's... It can easily get well over 20 miles to the gallon, maybe 21 just depends you know, the longer the the drive is, the the more likely it is to go on up there. My... You know, with the mileage.
And the more stops that I make, of course, it's gonna drop down. And if I'm just driving the around town, it's gonna end up being, probably about 17 and a half. Okay? So that's the mileage. Now if I were to attach a... Let's say, an 18 foot travel trailer, on the back of it and start towing that... That's gonna go down... That's gonna go down. Now, as far as how much it could go down you know, my dad's... I can give my dad's pick, for example. It's a...
He's got a... The parents have was 20 16 f 01:50. With the, you know, with the eco boost engine. And, of course, it's got plenty of power, but And I'm not sure what the normal mileage is. I I can't really... I don't don't know that. I think it does fairly well. If you just driving around on the pickup itself.
But I do know that if, you know, when he's pulling a trailer, it can drop down to 8 9 miles per gallon, And so probably the same thing would happen with my pickup where I to attach a good sized travel trailer to the back of it. But the difference is that you know, I've got the, you know, the large gas tank and so, you know, it's it's not not gonna force me to stop every 100 miles, you know, to, you know, to to fill it back up. So,
you know, I'm unlike... In, you know, whether it's the Ford lightning or the cyber truck or even the r, if they attach a trailer to it, or you or this electric Chevrolet hammer, would kind of a ridiculous vehicle. You attach a trailer to it and you really you really make it work. It it's gonna you're gonna lose about half the range, and you're gonna be lucky if they go about a hundred miles. So that's 1 problem. So you could just kinda tow something around
town and probably get away with it. But, as far as trying to go you know, very far away, it's just not not practical. Now, another thing with any vehicle, whether it's an electric vehicle or just a conventional, you know, just regular vehicle, you have you know, towing capacity, and that's actually listed on the vehicle. So if the vehicle at, you know, is is set up so that it can tow, it you look... You open up the driver's
door and there's... If you look down there to your right, along the door sill, there's on every vehicle, there's a sticker. That's required by law, and it'll tell you what the the weighted the gross weighted vehicle is, you know, like, you know, you know, like with passengers and all of the the stuff, it tells you the maximum weight. So you know, and it'll tell you that like, you know, if it can tow, it'll tell you the towing capacity. So if you have...
Let's see it Let's say you have a pickup and it says that you can tow 14000 pounds. Okay? That's fine and Dandy. But then the problem is you then you've also got ton weight, so you don't want you gotta take that into account. Cause a pickup, you know, maybe it it, you know, it'll say payload capacity 1400 pounds. So that's what they're talking about what you can load into the the weight you can actually load onto to
the pickup itself. That's that's apart from towing capacity, So you gotta be careful with that because it's easy to end up, it let's say you've you get a large travel trailer and you attach it to a pickup. You know, and it... You you kinda bump end up bumping up against the towing capacity, you know, because the weight the weight of the vehicle plus the trailer. Then you've got to take into account, you
know, let's say you're taking your... You you know, wife and the kids and the fact the kid, you know, and the family along, and then plus you load a bunch of stuff and travel trailer as well as load a bunch of stuff in the back of the pickup, and then, lot of people end up being overweight. They're towing more overweight and their vehicle designed for, and that that actually can end up being dangerous because in the vehicle doesn't
may not handle properly. So those are... And then you wanna make sure your tires are... Especially, you know, your tires are inflated properly and then, especially the trailer tires if you buy, like, a a typical travel trailer, they a lot of times they end up with just really crappy tires and so the best thing to do is just to immediately replace those tires with much better tires because they they really put terrible tire... They put the cheapest possible tires on lot travel trailers.
I'm not... No now I don't know what they do with motor homes. They may do something similar. I'm not sure about that. But certainly with travel trailers, the the trailers... The tires that they send with them are typically kinda crappy. Not always, but in many cases. You know, so then you know, you... With the electric vehicle, you gotta worry about the, you know, the range capacity.
And another problem is the resale value right now, the resale value of electric vehicles is just really dropping like a stone. And then the problem, you know, is the batteries and if you ever get to the point where you, you know, the the battery, you know, for a typical electric vehicle can, you know, low like a porsche, you know, I watch this video porsche I can. You know, that can end up being, you know, 45000 dollars to replace the battery. Well, it's that's
more than the vehicle's worth. So it's didn't kinda turns into a disposable vehicle. You know? It's kinda like a, you know a disposable bit glider or whatever. Or big fan. He's quit working throw it away and get a new 1. So I think that there are uses for electric vehicles. And I think that, you know, the market, but I think overall, the market has to decide, it can't be done by government fiat. They can't just say we're gonna do this all by 20 30 and whether you like it or not, there you go.
It won't work. It can't work. It there isn't enough, you know, our grid is is nowhere near being able to support all these chargers that they keep talking about. You know? So even if you put in all the chargers, the grid can't support it. Is is, you know, because they wanna replace everything. So that's a pipe green. That's not gonna happen. You know? But so let's say the... You know, there's a market for electric vehicles there obviously is. And so, you know, maybe it's 10 percent
of the market. It might be 15 percent of the market, whatever it is. Let... You know, let's let the market itself decide. You know? Because it... There's obviously, you know, the the idea that it's saving the environment. It's not. It's a dirty, filthy process, digging all the the minerals out to build those batteries. And the batteries themselves you don't, have toxic materials and then you gotta... They keep talking
all the battery. Can be recycled, will or not be, You know, they're not being recycled. It's kinda like they trick everybody into thinking well plastic can be plastic bottles. If plastic. It can be recycled. Well, how come it's not. It's very hard to the very little stuff is being actually recycled. So... But in any case, that brings up another point what we... You know, yeah, I don't know if you watched Trump's Trump gave a fantastic speech yesterday. I think it was yesterday, and,
Michigan at a Michigan rally. I think it was yesterday. I believe it was. Yeah. And it's just fantastic. It's on that if on Youtube, rs, but you can find that. But his his speech was just fantastic, and it was... You can say what, you know, and I'm sure some people gonna say, oh, he was lying. He said this inning but the thing was it was super optimistic. It was optimistic speech. And what his plan to fix the economy really revolves around as cheap energy, Make make energy
as cheap as possible. And that's really what the energy drives the economy. So, you know, on expensive energy ruins the economy. Me. You need cheap inter... You need to make energy as cheap as you possibly can, and then you have a... You... That's the way to a good economy. So you know, that... That's the path forward or or, you know, the may... That's what the major, at least cheap energy and then plus you, you know, a lot of common sense, things that are implemented you, to make that work.
But cheap entered... You we really need cheap energy in order to to make everything work properly. So anyway, I think I'm gonna probably cut this off right here and see if I can get this put together and uploaded So it's about us 10:52PM. So it's I've... Lately, I've been instant, you know, I tend to be a night owl sometimes I... Yeah, I don't know. I stayed up to, like, 2, you know, maybe 02:00 in the morning.
Think I got to bed last night at 01:00 and you know, like, this morning, I think I got up, but got up at 8. Think it was 8 little after 8 when I got up. So, you know, not... You know, so I'm not standing bed after today, and it may work itself around that I go to bed earlier and get up earlier, some... You know, there there are times that that happens as well. But at least right now, I don't have the thing where I have to flip my hours around. That's... Those days are over
at this point. So like I say, I'm not not board yet. And you know. So we'll see what happens over time, see if I do become bored at some point. And if I do, you know, I've I've got somebody at Sc has already you know, been sending me text messages. Let let's see. I'll just read the text messages. Trying to get me to come back already. Let's see here. Where's that at. There it is. Okay. It says Thomas. This is Eric Cutter. Thanks for your time with S. Fyi. If you're you're welcome back anytime.
Just give us a call. Take care, Re so I sent a text back. At enjoyed my 19 years with the company exclamation point. And then he sent another text message back. Thomas. Anything we can do to retain your services question work? What are areas s can improve? Always for input on continual improvement. Thanks, Eric. So... And I didn't answer that 1 and
And I've... You know, as far as what can they improve, the weak point, and I've told them, several people this at the company, the weak point with the Creek Carrier corporation is the the maintenance department. They do really good maintenance. They they typically do very good work, You know, they're... They make mistakes sometimes, but they typically do very good work. But they tend to be kinda slow. And, you know, that's, you know, that's that's gonna been a a bit of a sticking point.
Is it, you know, people do complain about it being their maintenance department being slow. So I I'm am I'm not gonna send him more text back I... But I've like I say, I've I've told several people that, and I think that they kinda know it. You know, but that's that's just the the system. And I guess in their defense, of, you know, that they run overall, they run the company very well. So... But I'm, you know, I I don't know. I think I'm done. Done being gone weeks at a time. You on
Excuse me. At this point, I don't have to do it. I'm 69 years old. It doesn't make any sense for me to continue doing it. And You know, So there's, you know, if I had to, I could, but I don't have to, and I don't really feel motivated to do it, what's that's another big, you know, a real key aspect to this is that I don't... You know, I don't really feel motivated to do it anymore. So therefore, not gonna do it. Now, so...
But, you know, I think that's that. So anyhow, hope everyone is having a great week so far, and I will catch you later. Remember, Trucker Tom is like Visa. He's everywhere you want to be.
