Episode description

On February 9, 1964, the Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show for the first time, which came to be called a cultural watershed that launched Beatlemania and the British Invasion.

Correction: The first time American TV viewers got a glimpse of the Fab Four was during a report by Edwin Newman on NBC's The Huntley-Brinkley Report (November 18, 1963).
