One of the most important figures of the golden age of Hollywood animation, Leon Schlesinger ran Warner Bros.' cartoon division for eleven years (Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising acted as subcontractors from 1930 until 1933). He was also a distant relative of the Warner Brothers.
