#2 in our Interview with a Vampire block is the original book by Anne Rice, published in the 1970's. This og Southern Gothic tale started it all for the "Vampires have feelings too" story line. Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles paved the way for the new era of Vampire story telling that is still prevalent today. Sad, sexy, brooding, emotional Louis and cocky, snobby and dangerous Lestat, a match made in Hell! Listen as Trashmouth who is a first time read tells us what she thinks about this book. Ve...

We are back with our Gone Too Soon episode the dark and twisted Penny Dreadful. We know, we know it's not technically a Vampire centered show, but there is vampires and the most famous Vampire makes an appearance. They capture the ins and outs of everyday life for these ancient vampires trying to keep up in the world. Grea...
This is a must watch comedy show! It's got that hilarious mockumentary style but with Vampires and other supernatural beings, adapted into a show a few years after the movie came out in 2014. This show is perfectly cast and the characters are EVERYTHING! 4 vampires-3 regular and an energy vampire, all living in a house together with a human familiar in Staten Island. Hijinks ensue while they try to adapt to the ever changing technology of the human world. ENDLESSLY memeable and quotable! Do your...

We are calling this one "Season of the Weres" because we meet some hot werewolves, some "nazohot"-see what we did there- werewolves and some inbred werepanthers from the STICKS! Welcome back to WE HAVE TO GO BACK! In this episode we are talking about the critically acclaimed HBO series Watchmen, based on Alan Moore's graphic novel. It was created by Damon Lindelof and as you know we are big fans of his stories and adaptations. This isn't just a superhero story though; for one it has a black female as it's lead in a superhero story which we love and has never been done before. The story itself is a complex narrative about race, history, and justice. We talk a little abou...
So, if you listen to our podcast or The Cinemaniacs podcast fairly religiously then you would have heard us mention many times movies/shows/references from the 80's and 90's that our Pop Culture Queen, Justine hasn't seen. We don't exactly know how often we will be doing this and The Cinemaniacs may or may not join us for all of them; but we decided to put out our first one and it's the cult class...
For our Lighthearted segment this season we chose one of our absolute favorites Parks and Recreation! This show has been in our rotation for almost a decade! The lovable characters and relatable personalities is what keeps us coming back for more. We have Amy Poehler fresh off the SNL scene, Chris Pratt at his PEAK, Aubrey Plaza as the quintessential dead pan late millennial and Nic Offerman who becomes an actor we seek out even after Parks is over. Not to mention the other amazing cast and char...
Our Gone Too Soon episodes always have a certain criteria; a show that wasn't able to finish the story for whatever reason. In this show's instance it was cancelled by Netlfix for not generating the same popularity as shows like Stranger Things; meanwhile the streaming service has an abundance of unwatchable garbage on it. To say that we are bitter about this one is an understatement. The OA was one of those shows that didn't get the ending we feel it deserved, with only 2 seasons in it's legacy...
