Episode description

Allow me to reminisce; we rarely visit storehouses of information. We have progressed in how we use data in this modern era. Join me as I share how modern mindfulness can be used as we transition to a new age. I’d like to invite you to recognize feelings, points of view, and dimensions of depth without judgment. Basing conclusions on personal values, experiences, and social group acceptance promotes stagnation and misinterpretation of information. We are still in the Modern era. Within the Modern era, we are functioning in the digital age and moving towards the nanotechnology age. We are using information so intimately that we have developed online and offline identities. We should take time to perform a self-awareness scan and identify which world we spend most of our time in. Barry Boyce suggests that we should be aware that one-way relationships, such as “celebrity worship,” distort the awareness of “now.” The distortion pulls us away from the here now, crippling our ability to form healthy, two-way relationships. It is our choice to select which existence we want to nurture.

Modern mindfulness provides coping tools to help us overcome challenges and embrace a positive life. Brian Bi suggests we are in the Age of Reckoning. We must see the truth and accept that seeing the truth may be uncomfortable. However, this process is required for humanity to improve. Mike Wadhera suggests that we are in the Experience Age. The Experience Age focuses on using data in real-time interaction rather than data collection. Finally, as we explore our online and offline identities and transition into the age of Nanotechnology, Barry Boyce cautions us to be aware of the rise in how our economic system is beginning to use our attention as a product.
