Episode description

In this episode, we sit down with Andrea Perron, Author of House of Darkness House of Light, the true story behind The Conjuring. This book was written about her experience with her family living in a farmhouse in rural Rhode Island for ten years, better known now as the Conjuring House. After the writers and director read the book, Andrea worked as a consultant during the making of the film as they worked their real experiences into a feature film.  House of Darkness House of Light is now a trilogy, recounting the 10-year span all the way through leaving the property. Andrea tells us what is was really like for her and her family living there and what some of the first signs they experienced were, even on move-in day.  She also explains what portions were altered for Hollywood and what was true from their experiences there.  We discuss spirit and why it should be looked at in a positive light and not only fear, and although many of the incidents were terrifying, she holds the utmost respect for all of the spirits in the home to this day.
