In this episode, we sit down with See Carny and Crimson Locksley of Ses Carny’s Double-Edged Daredevils. Ses tells us all about how a kiss concert sparked his interest in fire breathing, leading to a long career in sideshow performance. He explains the different stunts he has performed over the years besides fire breathing from hammering a nail into his nose, fish hooks in his eyes, sword swallowing, and much more. Ses’s wife, Crimson Locksley, has also joined him on stage with an essential job: to stand completely still while knives are being thrown all around her! Ses and Crimson explain the many measures they take to ensure these acts are performed in the safest environment possible. Ses also explains that accidents do happen and gives us some behind-the-scenes stories of when they did for him. The Double-edged Daredevils will perform weekly at the upcoming King Richards Faire in Southeastern MA this fall.
