Come on, you know me, I definitely have my mushroom coffee ready. Let's get it.
Let's get it. Alright, so I'm ready to kick this conversation off today, Eddie, around something I've been noodling in my brain for a bit at the beginning of 2025 what is your word for the year?
Oh, so you're going to go ahead and make me start. All right, I got.
Yeah, 'm letting you take it. Take off with this one.
Oh my god, okay, so I have a lot of words. Some of them I this is probably the most appropriate place to say it, but I get in trouble anywhere else but the word that I really, really been working on and I've been thinking as I'm going through this new journey, this new chapter in my life. You know, I gave this a lot, a lot of thoughts, and the word that I've been not only feeling in my heart and feeling deep down is the word bold and and that word. If I take a step back, Taro that
that word means a lot. Because in order to succeed as an entrepreneur, a startup, a founder, in order to be a great father, a great husband, a great colleague, friend. Oftentimes you have to challenge and you
have to be bold. And I think, in today's society and without insulting or saying anything that got us kicked out of, you know, off air, often times people, they they think that they know that, or they think that they know what that word means, or they you know, they pretend to be bold, but they're not. They're not, they're hiding. They're afraid, like you see this on social media. You look at social media, and immediately you think that everybody is not only filthy rich, everybody's living their
best life ever. Everybody is out there. And for sometimes we could go ahead and say, hey, those people are being bold, but what you know, oftentimes, they're creating this fake persona, and they're creating this, this, this personality that is not really them. And I don't think you're being bold, you're playing a character, you're you're an actor, which, there's plenty of actors out
there that are amazing. soon enough, as we continue to grow and expand, I'll start calling some of them out, because I definitely want to have conversations with them. But the reality is that we're not being
bold enough. So the more I think about it, and the more, the more I take a, you know, a day to day approach in my life, and, you know, aligning with the I and wind philosophy and the me versus me, the word that I come up with is bold, because I need to be bold, not only in order to succeed, but to challenge our leaders, our entrepreneurs, our founders, The ones that are struggling out there. Be bold, take that chance. So that is my word, not only of the month of the day, but of the year.
Brilliant. I think that's great. And it came to it really started coming to my head over the past couple of months. And believe it or not, I'm not, I'm a big proponent of not setting new year's resolutions. I set goals, and I'll sit down over the course of January and write down goals that I really want to hit over the course of
the year. Now mind you, my birthday is in February, so I don't even look at January 1 as being the start of a new year, I hold out that January 1, until my birthday is like my wiggle room before an actual new year really begins.
Cheating. You're cheating. My birthday sounds on the fifth of January.
(laughs loudly)
I can't there's no wiggle room.
Right, right?
Then I gotta record myself running 6,7,8, miles, and doing shit that I don't want to do, but I, you know, I have to like it, because I gotta be bold! Right, right?
(laughs) So it's funny because I thinking about (laughs) it and thinking about and I've been talking to a lot of leaders, and some leaders are, are my word is uplift, or my word is connect. And I really like all these words and thinking about too the word love, which comes from a podcast that is coming down the pipeline where love is wrapped around, listen, observe, validate, epower. I then started thinking, well, couldn't I have a word of the month? Maybe I'll have 12
words this month. You know, January was very much a hibernation, self care, reset month for me. February, I'm learning, is more of a strategy month for me. So while I think I'm going to stick with having a word a month overall for for the year of 2025 it's I feel deep down, it's a transformative year, and I'm ready to make an impact. I'm ready to make a bold impact with you.
I love it same here. Now that word, just so you know, Tara wasn't chosen lightly. Not only do we have to be bold and you know, we have to be driven with purpose. That actually tell that word. It's an it's an acronym, and it's actually broken down a bit deeper. And I'm going to give this will be our sneak peek, and we'll we're going to talk deeper on another on another one of our episodes. But bold stands for breakthroughs, opportunities, leadership and legacy, discipline and drive. This is
all me versus me. It's not me versus you. It's not, you know, I'm running my own race here. I have to show up and be the best version of myself, and that's what I promise. Not only am I going to be the best version with you terrible, I'm going to be the best version of my family. I'm going to be the best version with my team, and I'm going to be the best version that I can not only today, tomorrow, but the rest of the year in 2025
Brilliant Eddie. I'm looking forward to it. And to our listeners out there, stay tuned for our next mushroom coffee talk. Make it a great day.
