Episode description

When the President of Russia abruptly decided to quit and transfer power to an unknown former KGB agent, it surprised everyone including the United States.  What event was making headlines all over the world that when the leader of a nuclear superpower suddenly resigned, it WASN’T the top story?  Find out on this episode of Top Fold.

Top Fold is dedicated to, "All the news that would have been". What does that mean? That means that on 9/11, or when the Hindenburg exploded, or Elvis Presley died, headlines were replaced and stories fell below the fold. What event happened that was huge but wasn’t talked about because something else monumental took the headlines? The name of the podcast comes from a combination of "TOP Story" and "Above the FOLD"-TOP FOLD.

Original music by David "Beezer" Wagler.
