And it is the second of September which means that this week is actually. week where we will have the of the Hungry Ghost festival.
If you didn't know it's on the sixth of September and then maybe some of you guys might be thinking, why is talking about the sixth of September like it's some kind of special day like it's a birthday or something. It's not okay. I'm not that self. But if you want to know my birthday April, actually the festival. Festival. I mentioned in the previous episode. Basically those spiritual games where you can call upon spirit.
I don't know some people want to see spirits. Some people just want to experience, maybe they are skeptic or some people just I don't know they just daredevil enough. They just want to frighten themselves, they want some adrenaline rush. I'm not judging. I don't judge the festival fair fair. So I'm sure you guys. It's the if you only know the Chinese name for it.
And so I did come across this story that happened overseas, not in Singapore, but somewhere near me where a bunch of boys decided that you know, it will be kind of fun to just always been very big people feeling. I think it's kind of you see, you just look at it, it looks very vintage and a bit old you can tell that has been down time it was painted that kind of the eyes looking at you that you look at it, it just feel creepy lah okay. So, before they started.
Okay, we put in the room. Okay. So one of the boys, he moved the door over to the other room and he covered it under like towel just like through towels on the door. just don't want to look at the door. So after they did that everyone got ready and in the other room in circle and play. So when you play you cannot be such a brightly have to turn off the light light a little bit. So that's what
they did as well. So they turn off the lights dramatic lah maybe not so dramatic but they still like and everything you know. So okay, they had two candles and four of them in a circle around the. So when they started, they all their fingers on the thing that around on the board and they started asking questions, it seems like the boarding randomw okay. They would ask the question and it would spell it
meaningless letters and numbers. So everyone was like this one scam scary don't care lah serious not a big deal. a few questions and after a few of the toilet toilet. So he went to the rest of the playing. who is in the room. Okay you know and started spelling started spelling out some some numbers and they were like what the heck. So funny you know in the room. So he asked what you get. So because it down and out for him. His face and then his lips trembling a bit and he said.
Guys. That's my social security number. So after that. points. So at least the guy in the challenge to you. And guess what? The token, the planchet, spelled out D O L L. Immediately. The boys like something in the same time to remember the before and the horror down to you know they covered. It was sitting at the staring at the boys. and was just like a very depressive and there wasn't any catalyst that could have such a change in his personality.
for a period of time in the bathroom guy for some reason, he actually in the right now he is the training. efforts training overseas. And I guess sooner or later we will come to find out if the prediction made by the spirit behind the board is accurate or not. Okay lah. I know some people don't believe in the
OEG think it's like a scam, it's a sham. It's just this business people trying to make a quick out of overly superstitious people, they might think like people are so gible and maybe there could be some kind of scientific reasoning that is intertwined into explaining how it works. But sometimes it may not be so black and white, right? Some people the ideal motor effect. It's a psychological subject motions small to the same motion in the direction. I think we should.
I mean up to you though, if you think that no such thing spirits involved entirely psychological thing that maybe. I don't know how you explain the second half of separation. So thank you so much for sharing this story with us. This story why I wanted to share it now is because it happened during the seventh month. And this story took place in China, very near to me is also in the same Gang Tong Shen.
ah differenties. This one is in Guangzhou, which is actually went to Guangzhou recently, you know, Guangzhou is so beautiful. The only thing I remember is the really really good and the Guangzhou Tower. I saw the Guangzhou Tower at night before it close luckily. So it was so nice light was so nice and as you walk along the bridge, you can see like it overlooked such a beautiful landscape.
You can see the sea, you can see like all the building with all the really pretty night light and the Guangzhou Tower especially, it's just like so magical you know just look at it. Anyways, if you guys have the chance to go to Guangzhou and get the really good dim sum. The is so nice. Anyways this story happened to friend friend. happened in Guangzhou, so this guy is a local Chinese guy lah. And what happened was actually he wasn't not from Guangzhou, Guangzhou guy. But he wanted to go to
Guangzhou for business. So he he rented to drive over Guangzhou. So after he rented the car, he was drive off. And he he actually noticed already there was a huge quite a big Buddha statue in the car. So he just ignored thoughts. Anyways there was a Buddha statue what could go wrong. So he drove from where he was all the way to Guangzhou a few hours and actually the journey to Guangzhou was very smoothful and because you know in China we use Google Maps ya Chinese.
So using because he wasn't very familiar with the route. Fair enough he wasn't from Guangzhou. So. highway. So it was started doing whatever. And he didn't want to stay in Guangzhou. So I just drive drive but being the rough. I understand understand. mall mall. MRT Singapore Singapore in China. China in China. Google Maps. the highway. Guangzhou, highway.
the best, the best, the fastest way to get back to where your destination even tells you how many traffic lights and how long have to wait traffic light in real time. That is how is. So he was like trying to tell me that there's a route sensitive information. So the highway and started driving through the suggested route. And as he drove further down the small road, it was a small road by then.
So it looks like those outskirts places like the village outskirts areas, but he was like so confused like how is this evening me back. course he tried to check lah because it didn't like it was a proper anymore muddy path. setting was very unfamiliar to him. G. G. G. S. So he can't even access internet at that time, but he didn't want to talk. He was like don't want to you know, don't want to like halfway and the like no no no not do that. So he didn't that only after he was not right.
From peripheral view, he saw like there was something moving. okay, just small movements. So was like trying to draw his attention. And of course, attention drawn, he turned to look, what he saw was rose, columns, he saw a lot, a lot of graves beside vehicle. and a lot of prayer items like paper effigies and candles,
candles that were lit okay. It was only when he saw what he was surrounded by, it was only when he realized point because he did not remember you know if you are driving, okay, I don't know that you are through through the front of you. Because. He, I don't know why but he still continued driving like a bit further in the direction, you know. until he saw a lit house and he drove there. And when he drove towards the house, he saw than some homeless guy lighting in the house, maybe like
I don't know maybe sleeping no empty house. Okay. So this point this guy he was he was like, I get back home. So he took a deep breath and his friend friend told him I think because you don't stay stay calm. you try to find the highway. the highway highway lah. So he he he he. no no no no no no no. I'm gonna stoprol station because people on the sky. So that was his journey back home from Guangzhou oh my goodness month you end up driving through a cemetery
