Hi everyone, welcome back to another episode of too many Ghosts nowadays. I am your one and only host and supernatural Bie Genesis and it's so crazy that an entire week has just gone by. It's like I have assignments on top of assignments and I barely have time to sleep. Sometimes I would be the only one awake at two, three, four AM and then I have to use the toilet, right? And because it is dark and it is also very quiet at night, sometimes I feel like my eyes are playing tricks on me.
So when I walk into the bathroom which is shared like there are few cubicles. It's like I always feel so guarded against something that might just jump up at me. But you know the thing is there are no ghosts in the toilet or there hasn't been any evidence or anything I have heard that have suggested that there would be a ghost in the toilet on my floor. But it's always just this image of a ghost or ghost looking in the ghost
toilet in some school. You know I still remember in primary school they were saying that if you held a candle up in front of the mirror and then you chanted like Bloody Mary three times. So, you look in the mirror and then you see a face appear and apparently that bloody Mary's face. There is also another variation where you do the same thing. But you turn on a tap afterwards and then we
blood flowing out of the tap instead of water. Okay, but that was like the one in primary school and then in secondary school we got upgraded, you know like People say that oh yeah there were actual things that have happened in the toilet before and there was this incident of whoever whoever did what in the toilet and
then now there is this person's ghost haunting that toilet. Okay, so I have never really thought about it, but now that we are on this topic, I think that if I were a ghost, I wanna entertainment scary. I wanna be in there. So they knowing that you are thinking about your experiences particular. that you found was just overly realistic, just too realistic, you know to the point that you might even start thinking, wow, they did a really good job at this haunted house
and they wouldn't even know. Anyways this episode today is actually a compilation of ghost stories that happened in a school setting. So, our first story took place on campus, not my campus, my friend's school. It was the event that happened at night. They usually had this haunted house themed escape room. that the seniors would organize for the juniors, you just
a little bit of horror fun for everyone. This setup was in one of the classrooms and you know was so realistic that they even had a fake altar setup with like candles and incense. So, even if you just walk in, you can already smell the incense, you look at the flickering lights of the candle in the dark room and there is this fake alter there. There are also like you know many corners with like ripped up curtains stained with fake blood dripped around the
area was really really well decorated. So since the fake altar setup was the first station, it was the first thing that the juniors would see, what the seniors wanted the juniors to do was to light and offer the incense and joysticks. at the altar to kind of kick start the entire game. Just one thing though, every altar is dedicated to someone, right? So they had to have a picture framed up of someone on the altar and where do you think the
seniors got the picture from? Maybe some of you might be thinking just use AI to generate a picture of some random person Because the picture will not be of a real person that existed, right? So AI generated, but the senior source the picture from the obituary section of the newspaper. So was a photo of actual person who had passed away recently and they set up this very realistic looking and place the frame picture
of this person right in the middle. So to them, it was just a just did what they had to do after to them everyone was supposed to have fun bit scared, right? So Right after the juniors, the group of juniors offered the joystick at the fake and we are about to move on to the next station because the fun has just started right? the first station kick started the game, let
the fun begin. Really let the fun begin because at this point some of them said that they saw that the person in the picture look a bit different from before. Like the person was smiling a bit, just a small green but just five minutes ago they only remembered that the person look very emotionless, you know like RBF kind of but now they saw that the person was greening but this is very small green so they just push it off to the overthinking mind because you know it
was very scary creepy vibes and all in the classroom. Suddenly. The girl who was standing at the back of the group, so she was the last one there. She started screaming. She was pointing at the picture all because she has turned back as everyone was about to move on to the next station. And she saw that the picture of the person. Was now full on smiling.
You couldn't even deny that it was a small green overactive imagination, it was very obviously you know showing the teeth and all it was not the kind of warm friendly smile. Something was very wrong kind of weird s false smiles, something like that but that wasn't all.
When the juniors moved on to the other stations, the group of girls and boys both let out a small screen when they were walking past one of the corner of the room because they saw this crawny looking figure crouching in the corner. Ya. So what did the junior see? At this point, even the seniors were nervous. They tried to turn on the light, but the light just wouldn't turn on. So the seniors were the facilitators ushered their group of juniors, ran to
the lift, started sping the lift button. But the lift was just not moving. The lift wouldn't work as well. So they quickly got the juniors to go down to the stairs and back to the main assembly point. So thankfully no one got hurt and even though there were some scares, the seniors decided that we have been preparing for this for so long, can't just be because
of some small incident that we cancel everyone's fund. So the seniors upstairs texted the ones downstairs saying okay, we are ready for you to send up the next batch of juniors for the escape room. And what did the seniors downstairs who were in charge of sending students up? What did they text the seniors upstairs back? They said that they haven't sent any group of juniors up yet.
So, after this experience, I think the senior stopped holding this kind of haunted house escape room for the juniors anymore. I think they moved on to another kind of bonding activity not trauma bonding, I mean it works but just not trauma bonding in this flavour. But yeah moral of the story, if you don't wanna get burnt, don't play with fire. So, our second story of the week was shared to
me by a mentor in school. He wasn't the main character of this story but he witnessed it first hand and it happened to him when he was still in secondary school having an overnight CCA camp. Many years ago, my mentor, he was on the secondary schools badminton team. So they had like an annual CCA camp. It is very normal and their was held in school. So it was a very exhausting first day of bonding activities, icebreaker
games and they also had a few badminton challenges. So you know because it was secondary school, you had a curfew. So the teachers had to make sure that everyone was asleep by a certain time so that they weren't any boys missing from the sleeping area which is one of the classrooms. But I guess my mentor and his friends, friends, they were bit mischievous good friends so click. The two of them they decided that, sleep is for
the weak, sleep is boring, let's rebel. So, they just decided that they don't want to sleep, they just want to do anything else but that. caught up, walk out the classroom when the teachers were away, the teachers went to sleep themselves, so was pretty late. they waited about two three hours after the curfew. They just explore the school at night. That's the three of them. So these boys usually in secondary school, we don't have a lot of activities that will extend all the way
to the night. Like even CC would end by latest seven PM. So this boys have never seen a school at night. It is different my mentor he described it as a different vibe because he has never seen the school so quiet, dark, empty, deserted just devoid of life, you know something like that. Honestly there Nothing much you can do in a school but they
just wanted to look for something. So they walk the empty corridors, you know with the stretch of classrooms on one side but obviously there was no one inside the classrooms except for the one with their sleeping. They took the stairs down, they walk the entire courtyard pas D room check it outside for bed went out. The walk past the school track, also nothing much to do since they weren't really any fun things for them to do, they just decided okay fine. Maybe the teachers
are right let's go back to sleep. So the three boys started heading back to the classroom where they were supposed to be sleep. So, at the school track, the short cut was for them to cut through the school garden to get back to the classroom. So the school garden was the place where the gardening club students maintain some of the green there.
So usually the gardening club students would just experimentally grow some fruits or interesting vegetables in the school garden and then they were in charge of taking care of the area. But it was a bit weird because they noticed that there were a lot of flower petals scattered all over the ground in the garden. The yellow and white petals that were lying everywhere in the garden were fresh and crisp and contrasted the dark
green of the grass very well. So, they were really just standing out, like a sore thumb to the boys. One of the boys who recognize the flower first Something like that happens it is crucial that you have something to put in between the teeth so that they can bite down on the object instead of biting their own tongue. So my mentor and his friend, his other friend, they were just very panic try to search for anything they had on them to help this friend out.
And then my mentor found a pencil in his pocket. that was all he had. He put a pencil in his mouth and that friend who was having a seizure his teeth clamped down on the pencil and he was just biting on it so hard that the pencil eventually broke into two. After the seizure was over and after making sure that he was okay, the three boys immediately went back to the classroom. So my mentor did eventually ask the friend if he had any history of epilepsy and of course,
he didn't. So most of us in Singapore would probably be very familiar with why pies are special kind of flower especially in the supernatural realm. Because they are very very strongly associated with Pontianak. Well, I mean of course there are ways that you can counter yourself from Pontianak attack. What you can do is carry big nails, carry scissors, carry knives with you. I mean, it sounds crazy right? Like you are carrying this like
huge knife around like yeah okay. Of course we are not gonna be doing that in public spaces but These are just some of the methods that people have used to counter against attacks. So, I'm not asking you to bring like this huge knife, I'm not asking you to bring any knifes or scissors or like big nails in public. Okay, please don't be crazy. Anyways, these are all the stories I have for you today.
uh next week is gonna beumn festival.
