Hello and welcome to another episode of Genesis thank you so much. celebrating Chinese New Year, it is a rather stressful period because everyone is so busy trying to get ready for the festive season. I am very busy during this period are at an all time high, because it is Chinese New Year because I just. But hey, I'm trying to make my money worth, you know, if I pay this amount of money for my tuition fees, right? Then I might as well take more modules, right? Then
I learn more things. That's the speaking. So, yeah. This is kind of like a thing. I, I ask for this myself, so. Anyways, I hope you guys are managing better than I am and that it is not as busy for you guys. After this recording session, I have to go back and do my assignment, you know, because it's due tomorrow and I haven't even started yet.
But you know, despite my schedule, I am very lucky that I was able to find the time to catch up with a buddy of mine that I haven't seen in so long and he told me, I told him that you know I was in for the last couple of months. I just came back less than a month and he was like oh my god, I also Shanghai, China. So, he was just walking around. He saw a lot of interesting cultural artifacts, uh, a lot of souvenirs. He didn't buy any for me, but it's because I also
went to China. But he had a good few days there after the business trip and then because he had a friend from Singapore who was in Dubai and he has, he had never been to Dubai and his friend invited him, not come to Dubai and spend a few days with me. And I guess it is quite normal. Sometimes maybe he had been overseas in Shanghai for like a few weeks. So, it was normal that maybe he was very exhausted, burnt out from work, even though he did play for a while.
You know, everyone in the quarter life crisis stuck in a corporate job, probably experience this kind of things. It could be due to stress, it could be due to a lot of physical fatigue, so never know. So on the last night of his trip in Dubai. The both of them went to bed early, they share hotel room their roommates in the hotel room. And the hotel room was very quiet, the lights off because they went to bed early. But sometime during the night, his friend woke up to the sound of whispering.
H. Saya. That he shouldn't stay around to find out what was wrong. He knew it was wrong, but he didn't want to stay out. You know as they say, right? Don't screw around, don't find out. He was confused, he was like, you know. And so, just like that, he returned back to Singapore, and he shared this story with his mother. S Okay. So it turns out that this woman, woman, had followed
him all the way from China. He said that the spirit was not gonna be anything harmful towards him but Didn't know he went back to Singapore, so I don't know lah. I mean he didn't tell me, he did give me the details of the spirit because I was interested and he didn't he didn't know. But you know the ritual and then afterward he no longer had all this exhaustion, you know, remove the spirit from him. Thankfully nothing happen to him again. But I guess it's a bit early to tell because
he just around the same time. So we did catch up a little bit about our time in China. He said that when he was in the There were a lot of like very ancient looking stuff and he is the kind of guy that likes to look at those maybe ancient artifacts or like ancient looking stuff. Sometimes he likes to go to like thrift shops, secondhand shops, you know. Second hand not just clothes, but also like some plates, bowls, or like instruments, bags, you know.
So, you know, I think, really you just never know, maybe like I suspect could be encounter shop because I think it's easier for them to know. Sometimes. So just out of curiosity, I asked if this was his first experience with things like this. And he said, exactly, experience experience. The turning of the supernatural. But before that, he was quite a child to believe in supernatural because he was quite frankly speaking quite afraid of horror.
But he said that one incident in primary school actually happened in his school campus that changed his entire outlook. So this incident took place when he was around eleven years old. So he was actually studying in a missionary. When he was in primary, he had remedial classes with his group of classmates. So there will be a break in between after the Official like timing. After the official end of day, you
have like a two hour break and remedial class. So this two hour break sometimes they play, sometimes they like lunch. So while waiting for real, and sometimes we go to the play. So one afternoon they went to the same place. kids. So that afternoon, they decided, you know, you know. So they knew. And at the end of this, this distance, that he felt quite unsettling. The walls were made of wood. Very, very old, very, very dilapidated. There is like, actually glass windows, you know,
it was very dark and very empty. It was already shattered, you know, like the windows and the surrounding area over there was completely silent. There was a kind of boys walked. And most of the boys. And he looked at his friend told them, guys, want to come in with me inside. All the friends, my friend, are you crazy. I show you, show you. So we walked straight into the house. They waited for him outside. So he stayed inside the house for a few minutes
before coming back out, looking completely relaxed. This guy is like, you know. And so of course eventually naturally, everyone forgot about it. But the following week, during a math exam. The silence in the exam hall was shattered. Because boy, boy. And very, very out of character for him. He was brave, yes, yes, I think, you know. Two PE teachers to restrain him. And you know back in the PE teachers, they were actually muscular, it took two muscular PE teachers to restrain this small boy. He
was not even like a big boy. Like he was, he was, he was. Was that seriously, that all you took away from this experience. It is not that you should abandoned house, but that you wait for one of your friends to get possessed that exam be canceled so study, bro. I mean, it was, and I'm sure that was, that was a life changing moment for my friend. That was when he started believing that supernatural entities do have the power. Okay, I hope that my friend, you
