Tonight the night will make history. UK Baseball versus Texas A and M second game, it's a double elimination tournament of course in Omaha for the World Series. Your Louisville fans know that because they've been to the World Series so many times. Kentucky's first time visiting and they won their first game, which is actually a lot better than what U of L's done in the past. So
good for the Cats. They take on text A and M. And because of those two idiot text name fans from earlier in the week, I will be cheering for the Cats. Sorry, sorry, not sorry, sorry not sorry? For sure, that's that's the new thing today, all right, it's the old thing and I'm just not catching on. Sorry, not sorry. Well you're so hip. I mean people when they describe just one word hipp is it not like old and broken hip, but just hip. There
are one billion websites on the Internet. A new website is built every three seconds. That seems low. One billion. Seventy one percent of businesses have a website. I wonder what the other twenty nine like, what what do you do? Like? How could you not have a website? If you're a business, do you ever go to a business website and then you're like, you'd be better off not to have a website. Oh, for example,
like the Jefferson County Clerk's office. Yes, yeah, you go on there to try to pay your car taxes, so you don't have to take a number and sit, Yeah in the whole business. But it's so difficult because there it's so antiquated. Yeah, so it looks like a website I tried to put up. I definitely get upset if it's if it's hard to navigate right right? And then why do you have to know my gender? If I'm ordering a pizza has too many details, too many genders to choose?
Well, why does it have to be city in state? Like what? You can't see that on my thing? All right? By the way that we digress, wa wait wait wait wait, I gotta keep chasing the squirrel a little bit further. What about this crap? Do you accept our cookies? Well, if they're real cookies, yeah, but it's so cook Yeah, I've know not know what you're talking about. And then someone want to know your location, Yes, but they should know once once you start
to go into their thing, they know where you are. I'm going to continue, Well, let's finish this story, and I'm gonna talk about another website. Okay, this may be a very difficult discussion to have right now, but the reality is people are I don't want to see normal people. Normal people use this website all the time. And actually I've heard it in a couple of sermons because it's so popular. Oh, I think you're doing
my thunder? Are you doing doing the porn up? Yeah? Okay, go ahead, go ahead, my friend, I think, but it's okay. So I feel like when I'm reading that article and I want to apply this to our radio show, I'm starting to think, is this too edgy or not edgy? But does this not apply? And I'm starting to think of there's not I hate. I don't know if people are run with but I don't know anybody that hasn't visited porn hub at least once. I have not yet, right, but I have. I am right. I am
one of the top three leading investigative journalists in the world. Correct, So I may have to just because of this story. Okay, porn Hub had six billion visits in May alone. Okay, six billion, six billion in May? All right, it is one of the most accessed websites in the state of Kentucky. Porn Hub. Oh I didn't know that. Of yes, I wontever. It's one of the most accessed in every name. What I'm saying, you know, yes, yes, because it takes a squirrel
real quick. When the emerged the alert sounded off in Hawaii and said that missiles were headed their way, they went up. And this is not a joke, but porn Hub's activity went up something like seven correct, because I guess people, Yeah, they were thought they were gonna die, so they were two one last one sou okay. So again I think make people that are driving their car, you're sitting at work right now, you're thinking, if you've not never been to porn hub, it is. It is its
top ten usage in Kentucky. So when you say that next month that website company will block access to Kentuckians, right, it's a story. So I'm sorry that it's a difficult conversation to have with porn but the reality is it's a top ten website in this state, and that website says we're done because I think legislation the General Assembly passed asked and said you're going to have to use some sort of identification, not just verification. See they're just clicking.
See they had this, They already had a safety measure in place, and there was no way to get around this. It says are you eighteen? And then they had yes or no, and unless you're eighteen or over, you know you can't You can't click yet, right, So they already had that as like a gate to keep your minors out. But this is just
going to reinforce that. At TAD. Now they're saying, hey, upload your license so instead of fooling with people, because people what they're not going to do is upload their license number in all right, Right, they're not going to do that. So poor hub and this this has happened in other states. Texas I believe is one of them. That's a pretty big state to ban it. They have decided if you pass legislation like that in your state, then we're just pulling access from everybody in your state. Yeah,
but pulling out is pretty popular with porn. I put it on a tea for you, thank you. So I don't know what will happen at the end of the month, So just to let you know, I think it is a story and to shame on local news if you don't do the story. It's a top ten website in the state of Kentucky uses by Kentuckians. And that website it says, we're not we're not you're not using it anymore, we're cutting access to you. It's story source on This is the Tennessee
Democrat publication. It's also a news week. Here are evidently there's eight states so far. Here's here's some of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, now Kentucky. That's nine. I'm sure there could be more to come. But but are there gonna be ways around all this? Yeah? I don't know. They're saying we're blocking accents to internet services in your stage okay for example, So are computers here,
Well, that's Texas. It won't help their main servers out of San Antonio, Texas. Correct, that's why you get Sometimes you listen up on your comedy laptop, you hear ads serve for Texas. Yeah number one, how they even make money? Porn hub number two? Really kidding? But there's not a subscription, is there? Dwight? Okay, for example, Okay. For example, so six billion visits in May, right, Okay,
Twitter had six billion, Instagram had six billion. Okay, they're up with Twitter and Instagram as in visits to their website in the month of May. Of course they're making money. I don't frequent the website, so I don't know what kind of ads they have. Let's see, Oh, I know how to get there. You probably cannot get on. Our whips are
on. You know, I will support it. Well, remember back twenty years ago when we worked for the Fox, the Fox website, we used to say get online to sign up, and Humana employees downtown when that building was full, thousands of people working at building, they sent all these emails and they sent complaints to a clear channel. We were clear channel the time, not iHeart and said, hey, we Humana has banned Fox's website from our computers. We can't sign up to win. Okay, here's some before
phones. But here's some statistics by billions. And this is monthly, and this is as of this was February of twenty twenty four. Okay, And this is a number of visits monthly per porn website. It only gives us the top three, but number number one porn Hub. Porn Hub with ten point eight billion visits ten point eight billion billion in February. Coming at number two is a company called XVideos dot Com seven point two seven million billion, I mean billion, billion, yeah, yeah, billion, Thank you,
Tony. And then the third wow is u X hang on, I remember regular readers on X and xx dot com. You have your old readers on. Yeah, so your euys are worse now, so you gotta have that so pissed off a I just need to throw them away. So all that together is how much well, hang on, look at look how far it drops. Number one number one is ten point eight billion visits in February to porn hub. The number three goes all the way down to three point four
billion. That's a big It is a big drop. But here's the thing I don't again, legislation has been passed. I don't understand the technology wise how you could block that, but they do it for the gaming like you can't make bets, you can't make bets. I don't know, but it is a story and I'm gonna be interested as the day gets closer on whether the local channels will will pick it up or the CJ or whoever. I
think maybe the CG already has that story. But but you know what, Okay, So I don't blame porn hub on this because if there is some kind of somebody slip through somehow and a law, it just it's over them for a lawsuit, you know what I mean, I just pull out and don't worry about lawsuits. I am. I'm all for freedom of speech, but it has ruined it. Porn sites has ruined what sex is to the younger generation because they go right to that and they watch that stuff and think
that's what sex is. And it's like, no, that that's not what sex is. So I think it has ruined an entire generation of what that what they think that is supposed to be like? Right, But and I don't know. I just think that is a lot of clicks. And if you talk to most people, they'll say what licks? Okay, so they'll tell you still, after all of Google and YouTube and everything else, eighty percent of the Internet is that it is that So I would say I will
say that I have never seen so many female multitaskers. Okay, I think though, I think once let's say that it's not a website though that if they eliminated from your whatever, I think you just you don't miss it, right, I say it about all of it. I say, I say, if Facebook said we're blocking access in Kentucky, I think people would move on pretty quickly. Twitter same way. I don't even Twitter is such a joke now. I just it's like entertainment purposes. I don't even go there
for information anymore, but is it's it's ridiculous. It's strange stuff. I just want to let you know by the end of the month blockage. Wow. Well. Also in the news, coach Bill Belichick, he's up there in years. He's seventy two years old. He's found it was a new girlfriend. His new girlfriend is by the name of Jordan Hudson. She's twenty four years old. Good luck having a conversation there, coach, because that's what he's worried about. What I'm saying. I'm seventy two and she's twenty
four. I dated a girl that was fifteen years younger, just fifteen, okay. And I gotta tell you, you make one Captain Steubing reference. She looks at you like a dog looks at a noise that doesn't understand. I think he cares. You can't talk about he doesn't care. You can't talk about the Regal Beagle, none of this stuff. Oh, because that because we're diving in Rick into the conversations that he's having at dinner. He's
talking about. He's not talking about triangular politics or what was going on in the news or the needs of women. He's his conversations with this younger woman. Is what happened on the love boat, Rick, That's what we're getting the clue. Fifteen years ago, Rick, you know to a with Dwight Witton. Because I'll say, hey, listen, you know what this date reminds me of. Remember when Chero was on the promenade deck and then Doc and Gopher came and she stops, And I said, Okay, that's a
bad example. Bad example. Remember when Jack? Remember when Jack was at the Regal Beagle the same Look, Rick, what's the last time you were on a date? Good Lord, I'll be married the forty seven years next month. So the last time I was on a date was with my then fiance forty seven years. You didn't say last Tuesday many anyway. Coach Belichick seventy two years old now hooking up with a twenty four year old, reportedly the parent. They met on a plane he was traveling from Boston to Florida
in twenty twenty one. They bonded over a philosophy project that the student athlete had been working on, so he was make pretending, Oh uh, philosophy project, tell me more please, by the way, Yeah, reason I asked, because I knew he's been married that long. Yeah. His last date yeah, nineteen seventy six, So your conversations would have been relevant in nineteen on his last date with the episode on Love Boat would have been relevant, Dwight, is the reason I asked him. We could have used my
threes company? Okay, his company? Well, what's scary about this is I remember the Love Boat. No, well too, we watched that stuff back then. Anyway, the para swap contact information. They stand friendly for several months, and then Belichick's relationship with Linda Holiday came to end. That's when he started talking to Hudson again and things elevated past the friendship stage.
They asked the new twenty four year old what you love most about Bill Belichick, and she said, well, you know, there's seventy million reasons I fell in love with him. And then they asked Bill Belichi Jacho, what
do you love most about the twenty four year old? He just simply said, she's great at the flating balls, all right, So yes, and that that's that situation where it's dating and it's not like it's not like some of these marriages where clearly they're marrying them for their money and they're ninety one years old. Right, this is there. Look, I'm gonna pay her a lot of money. She's gonna hang out with me. We're gonna have a good time. Plus it drives my ex wife nuts. Yeah, I
mean, that's that's what it is. That's what it is. I'm gonna pay this twenty four year old to hang out. She's not gonna I'm gonna buy her car. Yeah, but look, man, I'm only fifty six. It gets to be nine o'clock. I'm doing the Irish Goodbye. My sister in law gave me hell yesterday, the Irish cooop. I say, that's all Uncle Dhite does. Seventy two and twenty four. As we hear Steely Dan, the sultry, smooth sounds steelye Dan playing right now, it's Courty donaho on. I don't know it's whoa I'm waiting well, who'd just called? Dear him? Or me? Me?
I love talking about Oh, don't do that. What we're gonna do about him? You gonna enjoy him? What you're gonna do about he? Stop? Please, for the love of all that's holy material, that's Rupert Holmes in him. From nineteen eighty one, Beck you okay the Pina colade of the Escape song. Right, okay, I have the songs. You three will try to get them Are you ready? Yes, okay, Ricky, you're ready. I'm ready. Oh so we're not giving the decade at all.
No, we're ru I just thought maybe the rule was you. But if you were giving, no, here we go. You ready? Now I gotta sing what we gotta do about him? You ready? Okay? Painted Love? This is in the eighties. I Love a good taint run Away Him version. Oh it sounds weird, it does. Yeah, it sounds like more. Yeah, he's he's singing more of the words like instead of like and it's a slower right. Okay, So that's you got that one, right, Okay, here's your next one. This one happened in
the last fifty years or so. These songs. Hey, come on, I'm waiting for the eighties forty years ago. We're just learning, all right, So you get does anybody have a guess yet? Time after time? Betty Davis, it's Betty Davis. I like to remake She's got Marty Feldman. That was a good one. Yes, yeah, okay, this is uh this hollow he lives sweetly proud recipe. I was sick this past week. That's nineteen eighty one, because that was the number one song for the
whole year. Wow, Rick, I've got confidence in you. But want to hear the other songs? Do you think this was? Oh that sounds hot, she's got that Wow. Good another one, get one more, you get one more, you get one more. Okay. I love this video. It's so ridiculous. It's so amazing. These guys in their banana hammocks uh doing jump rope and it's so ridiculous. The best is five year old Corny all physy. He's singing this song, yeah, not really knowing
what it all meant, and everybody started wearing the headband. What's just about exercise, right, Cody, It's all about exercise? What's wrong with exercise? All right? No more songs. That's it. You get three eighty one baby, let me know one, nineteen eighty one, Let me get my dingy accident, give me the bang that dingy. Let me final answer in nineteen eighty one, Yeah, ye need it too easy from all right
me too easy? I don't know man. Nineteen eighty one. Well, by the way, Rick comes out of the break with a nineteen eighty one song okay, And I was like, I just chose nineteen eighty one, damn it. What song did they play? I forgot what did you play? The go Gos dambled, all right, all right, so you got We're hey one to oz to start the week. I love it here we go, I love it. I love it all about records here? Not
right? Okay, So what's I haven't seen the market at all, and nothing's going on here, so it's more exciting listening to songs from it's kind of it is kind of flat here, yeah, because we really don't have a lot of catalysts today. It's going to happen later this week where we've got a few economic reports, we get a few earnings reports. So the S and P five hundred is holding steady tech shares, that's supporting it.
That's why we're not seeing lower the downtown seventy points. Traders are still evaluating the federal reserves decision last week, policymaker signaling one rate cut this year and more to come in twenty twenty five. With the news radio eight forty wha s Bloomberg Money Report, I'm Courtney donnaugh This is also nineteen eighty. Got me stumped on this one, Rick, It's Hall of Oats. Oh yeah, you're run that's exactly that sounded exactly like it. You know why why
I used being a Hall of Oes cover boy. Oh I didn't know that. Yeah, I thought I knew everything about it instead of saying haul yeah, and oh yeah you know how you're hauling something? Yeah, we were hauling oats. Oh yeah, you turned into a side business. Yeah, that was halling oats. Anyway, News Radio eight forty w h as Tony Venetti, I'm Dwight witting right, there is Red driving the ship today. One invite in dear friend of the show and former MMA fighter Philip Perkins.
Hey, Phil, how you doing? Man? I'm good? How are you? And so every time you come in, it's like it's scary because I look your body is like looking in a mirror. We're so much we're so much alike. But first of all, before we get into m a A fighting, which I'm starting to it's starting to fascinate me. I'm just a traditional boxing fan. But uh, you had some kind of medical procedure, like I think it was stem cell months ago. You had to go
to Tijuana, Mexico, the medical capital of the world. Next to uh, I guess wars man, we are talking about this on the air, right, I'm not sure? Okay, okay, okay, okay. So there's a procedure you want to get some kind of stem cell and you go to Tijuana to get it. Uh, how did it pan out for you? Man? So far, so good. My knee feels like it went back five years and feels stronger than ever. My shoulders feel like the tendon ninis has disappeared. And yeah, were scared going to Tijuana to get a
procedure done? Not scared, but maybe I don't know. Apprehensive, that's the word apprehensive. I had my questions like everybody else. But the more I got into the process, the more comfortable I felt, because it's just a top notch process. The company's CPI sales where I went it was top notch, and there was more and more people that had been there for the
treatment that have had like life changing, life changing procedures there. One guy said I was living the end of my life and now I'm living the rest of my life. Wow. And that it regrows tissue. It's crazy, Like you can't even in advertisements now, even if there's a company that does in America, it's not like the stem cells you get in Tijuana. Right, So it's not the same thing, but it's still regrows tissue. If you watch, if you take X rays of before and after, you're like,
am I really seeing this? It's crazy, unbelievable. I've seen it make bulging disk shrink and heals tears and I mean a third of the time, and it's not like a healed injury. It's almost like the injury was never there. So what do you think the medical industry here wants to do? They want to sell you an eighty five thousand dollars new knee or right, that's what they want to sell you. Yeah, I think it's a
common nation of that. The doctor's visits, the surgeries, the medicine, and then that's the lifelong thing of once you start on the medicine, and then it's you're the rabbit hole. Look, I want to talk fighting, but I'm intrigued by this. So one last question on this procedure in Tijuana. I know what it's like medical costs here in the States, it's horrible. What was it like because I'm taking an insurance won't cover that in Tijuana.
But you don't have to give us. You don't have to give US the number, But was it somewhat affordable comparable to things like if there is a procedure like that in the US, would you see that it would be less expensive in Tijuana if you look at it. I mean, here they got you convinced that your insurance will pay for it. But when you're done paying out any right, it's probably about the same. Bad part is you have to pay up front there. You can't pay over time, so that
a thousand. It's a couple of thousand per per shot. And a guy told me, a good friend of mine, he said, well, what would you do if your truck motor broke? Yes, I can fix it, and then it's exactly Oh my god, all right, let's get to the good stuff. Let's get to good stuff. But MMA is sold out here in louisvill Kentucky. Didn't Dana White say it was the largest great gate, largest gate two point five million, two point five million, uh,
number one. We are surprised at that with Louisville, Kentucky a little bit. I mean, I know MMA is huge in the region and we got history here. But I was at the UFC that was here, I think in twenty thirteen or so, and it was a dud. So really, in the back of my head, I was a little you know, nervous, but yeah, it was amazing. There was so many people there from the city, the region, people that are MMA fans. It's timing,
it's all it's time. Do you think that that they were selling his soccer for the longest time and then about seven or eight years ago it finally hit right. I mean, we they were jamming soccer down our throats for decades since Peley, but it wouldn't take until it was time. MMA is the same way two point five million gated, you know in the turning point one
when the lady soccer player took her shirt off. And so do you think the MMA has just grown in popularity since thirteen till now that now they're able to sell out the KFC ump Center, Because I got to tell you, I was skeptical on that. Yeah, one hundred percent. I think the sport's grown. It's the fastest growing sport in the world. And the region here is kind of I don't know, a quiet horse, but we've had we got a lot of history in MMA here and boxing here, so it's
a little bit surprising considering I was at the other show. But when I think about it, I'm not surprised. I think that we've kind of earned this spot and we've worked towards this. Okay, so we got a fight night June and twenty second. Anybody that wants to sponsor you guys, uh, do they go to a Future of Fighting dot com? Yeah? Future of Fighting dot com. You can reach out to myself also Philip Perkins Instagrams at Philip Perkins Underscore jiu jitsu'or just reach out the Future of Fighting.
Yeah, we're looking for sponsors to join the team. This is the fastest growing sport in the world. Where the only homegrown MMA show in Louisville. We're bringing another professional sport to downtown Louisville. And yeah, we love to have some more people on. You also do pay per views on your fights in other markets? Do you get a little traction off that we do pay per view? We do of course, the you know, ticket ticketed VIP seats, and yeah, every show gets a little bit bigger. Last show
we were standing room only. Wow, we sell more pay per views every show and yeah, we're just growing it. We're planning to go regional with it next year. We got a lot of big plans, but just one step at a time. Now you got to you have your own gym. Two out in the South End and out of your gym. You got a couple of fighters on this card. As a matter of fact, tell us a little about two of your fighters, the premier fighters on this fight this
Saturday. Sure, Sure, we got Blake Alviy fighting. Blake Alvey is five and two. He's come up with us since he was fourteen. He's a firefighter. He's actually been on the news and a couple other things in the last couple of years. I've seen them. Yeah, and so he fought in LFA that come to town recently, had a big win there. So he's fighting for a title at our show this Saturday. It's a big fight. We also have Christian Floyd. Christian's five and one. He's another
real promising prospect. He's trained with us a couple of years and just somebody to keep an eye on. So he's got a big fight as well. We got two other guys from Area five oh two. It's just Hugo Ponce and Jacob Yancy. So we're excited to see all four of these guys but really all the guys from the region, the other the other gyms, and just excited for everybody to come in and have a good opportunity to showcase their skills. Outs looking in, it seems like it's tough enough to age as
a boxer. And again I'm a novice in mm A, did I speed up the years even further because it seems to me it's so brutal, because I mean it's it's kicks, there's chokes, there's arm bars where you're at the verge of breaking the arm or so it looks like, uh, I think the wear and tear would have to be ten times out of a box from off there. Yeah, it's it's it's rough and sometimes you here, hey guys that towards the end of their career they go back to boxing because
it's a little bit easier on their body. But yeah, you know, you end up having to do stuff like flight it to you one and gets themselves. Yeah. Yeah, but it's like wrestling to real wrestling is, which is you make a mistake, Like in boxing, you stay off,
you score, you stay back. You know you can survive in reason, you know, these guys are like ten and two or ten and three, like boxes go twenty three and oh and all that right, right, But you make one slight mistake and he catches you and that's it, and you're in an arm bar or you're in some sort of thing and you're tapping out.
Which is that's the difference. So it's not a perfect you're a you're not a perfect because it again, it's just like wrestling or jiu jitsu where you just make one tiny mistake and the other guy sees it and it goes. So June twenty second, doors open at five forty five. Go to Future of Fighting dot com for your tickets and pay per view. That's it. Yeah, please futurefighting dot com at Future Fighting MMA on Instagram. Everyone come out and support at the UFC. So now come out and support local
MMA guys and girls. You actually know better seats, closer seats, more affordable seats. Come support it. We'll see a future of fighting and and you're supporting local, local, local. I want to get back one second when he mentioned the tap out, because I always found this interesting, Uh, is there any fighters that would break that threshold of pain and it'll just sort of go and let an arm get broken or a leg get broken. Do they have that? Has there ever been fighters that done that? Has
did that? Yeah? And you know, some if it's bad enough, the referee stops it. But a lot of times you'll see a dislocation, a pop or two, and they keep going through the pop because of the adrenaline, and then after the fight they'll they'll feel the pain, you know. So it's a little bit of toughness, a little bit of dumbness, and a lot of adrenaline. It's true that a fighter, here's a good way you did they able to fight with their girlfriend because a girlfriend says,
I'm not doing this anymore. This is insane, and he goes, this is who I am and then goes, no, we're gonna break up. That's what happens. So you can't do this anymore. I got a friend of mine is Austin Jaggers. He knows Venetti knows him too. So Austin Jaggers says, I want to be I want to get into the MMA fighting. He trades, and he trades in his trains. First fight, he knocks out his opponent like thirteen seconds and they just walked away from it after
they said, well I did it. That's done. I'm done with it. How long do most fighters stay in the game. So there's different levels. So some people they aspire to be in the UFC, like these guys Christian Floyd, Blake Alvey, these other guys from my gym, they aspire to be in the UFC. But there's others that they just want to compete. A lot of guys that used to wrestle, we were talking about wrestlers.
Before wrestlers, they had that competitive spirit, so they tend to want to fight a little bit, and then as they get older, it's just not as exciting to them. So you have guys that'll get one or two, you have guys that'll stick around for a couple and then you have the one percenters that actually really make it. So but before a fight you wrap with gauze and then you tape. Is it true that you had a fighter one time ask you to wrap his hands in toilet paper instead of calls?
