All right, welcome in broadcasting, live on the road at the Fireplace in Middletown. Come by and see us. Dave Jennings out here with me. Uh, Dwight Witton is dealing with family and issues. And uh he's lost his uncle, which is basically his the facto father, so we Uh Dwight is dealing with that now. He's uh twy, He's just a great human being. He's been with his uncle every day for weeks, going to spend time with him, dealing with the facility, dealing with the government and all

that, and and this just has come to a head. Obviously he's passed away. And uh and he is is there with the family, So we we send our prayers in love. What we're dealing with is the smell of smoked Ribbi burgers, the smell of broughtwurst, the smell of hot dogs roasting on an open fire. And are a closed smoker. The hog Fathers are here, yeah, and they're gonna be here again tomorrow here at the Fireplace

in Middletown, the one year anniversary tomorrow. Most things ten percent off, half off Dano seasonings tomorrow to have beef sliders, chicken wings, jalapeno, cheddar, sausage, brisket and ribs, and they're brisket melt in your mouth kind of stuff. Gus is producing back at the studio. John, of course, in the news room, Good morning. I might try to get you smoked Ribbi burgers today is what we're having. Oh I would kiss you if you did that. Oh well, ok, it's not on the menu.

I won't bring it. We made that up, all right, uh Mark Pope, Yes, Martin Pope. Oh man, I saw the smoke rising out of Lexington right before the hire. I will say this. There was a couple of long faces in the sales staff who are Big Blue Nation this morning when they walked in. Uh so, I don't know what the problem is, to be honest, Okay, listen, guys, they did exactly. Mitch Barnhart did exactly what he was supposed to do. You kick the tires on Jay, right, You happy in TV? Yeah, kick

the tires on Billy Donovan, You happy in Chicago? You get on the jet, you hit up Drew, you hit up what's his face up at Yukon? Yeah, and hardly do that. And now what you're left with after they say no it's unfortunate they said no, But not surprising is you have that next tier, the next group of candidates, which include Iowa State's coach, Arizona's coach. Now what's the difference. So what do you do? You go with the guy that's gonna say yes. At that point,

you essentially have the same candidate. You don't want the optics swinging for the fences and missing, but then having the mid tier guys turn you down. So you go to Mark Pope. He plays a good brand of offense. They have a lot of assist, shoot a lot of threes. It's a fun style of basketball. I mean it's he's coming out of the same crop that Pat Kelsey came out of. All these guys have similar experience, and

that's that's where we are in college basketball. The number of sexy names you could count on one hand, correct, and they did what they had to do. They did this little piggy and well, those are toes. No one wants to date the Kardashian I mean that was part of the issue. I don't care how much it is. I don't want the drama every single day. I'd rather stay where I am, where I'm a hero. And not take that. Remember Tubby is the one that said it's the job you

don't want, but you can't turn down. Well, apparently that has changed. It's the job you don't want and I can turn it down. So that's where you are. Basketball is taking a back seat because of the nil and the unlimited time as you can transfer rules right, So now it's made coaching less fun and coaches are like, I'm gonna make a lot of money anyway. I'm not going to Kentucky where they're gonna grill me every single day.

Gus, you follow this pretty hard. And Mark Pope and now Kelsey at U of L. I mean, we're used to Hall of Fame coaches walking through the door. That's not happening at either school, Gus, It's not. And I was following along because I'm having to keep track of all the drama right now. And boy, Matt Jones had a Twitter space last

night which that first time I'd ever done jumped into one. There were twenty three thousand, twenty three thousand people in this Twitter space as they were discussing this, and this was ten something though last night, and yeah, oh they were big mad people, just not happen. There's a hashtag trending this morning that is fire Mitch on Twitter. They want Barnhardt's head for bringing in

Pope. But let me be the optimist a minute. He's a former player, he knows, he knows he won under Patino as a national championship as a player. He understands that, he understands, he understands Big Blue, he understands Big Blue Nation. He's got a wide open offense. It sounds like somebody being optimistic about the Wildcats. Guys, It's exactly what it sounds like. There's two other things. There's another thing that he brings that will

help out the players in that he's a former NBA big man himself. At seven to two, we've got what Avishich is what seven two, seven to four very raw talent. I think Pope could help mold him into a dominating center and get his foot work down, getting rebounding better, and get his body positioned better. We already know the kid can shoot. And plus with that wide open offense, you've got Reed Shepherd and you've got Perry coming back,

and they could break some scoring records. All right, who's the sexy name that you didn't try to get well, the Bruce Pearl and Rick Patino are the two the big nation wanted his seventies and yes it's it's a Louisville fan can can tell you you can't go back. We tried it with Bobby Patrino when it was a complete disaster. Rick's getting Oh they'll be there for fifteen seconds. Yes, I know, yeah, David, Okay. So the best tweet us all last night there was some of them were on fire.

Uh, but it's the tweet said Cal clearly doesn't want to be in Fayetteville and nobody wants the Kentucky job. What have we done? Like? What what is going on? And basically that is true. If you watch any of the videos of Caliperry, he just he he is not He doesn't want to be in Faetteville. That is the bottom line. His eyes say, why am i? He and Mitch didn't get along for quite some time. There was a bit of a power play. Yes, Cal wanted to

stay, Yes, get Mitch out. It worked out the opposite way, and he's not happy about it. He wasn't going to just retire, so he took the best available gig, and he doesn't look happy. Now, this is where politics cross lines, right Obviously, The story now is Kraft Kelly Kraft wanted to use some of the UK players as their advertising when she was running, spending eleven million dollars to come in third, and she wanted to use the player and cal Perry said, no, that's not happening.

So the Crafts pulled their money from basketball and put it in football. So and that's where they're going to keep it for now. So I agree with him on that. By the way, using players for policies, well, how many times did a billionaire say here, no, yeah, never ever they never hear no. Oh, what's cute about? The NII probably saw this. The NCAA wants to try to eliminate the multiple transfers by saying, if you want to transfer a second time, you have to meet certain academic

requirements. Kids aren't even going to school if they are. Instead of that, if they want to transfer a second time, make them do what they did when they transferred before the portal sit out a year. It is gonna be interesting to see. I don't I'm trying to even if Louisville and Kentucky had a year or two apart where they got all new coaches, right, and I don't think I mean Louisville and Kentucky both have new coaches starting next and there's four new coaches in the state. Yeah, oh, four new

coaches Western, Louisville, Kentucky and Morehead. Wow. Yeah, so it is. It's gonna be fun to watch this. Obviously, Mark Pope is not the sexy pick, but that who the pick is. They haven't announced it officially yet, but they think it's close to five point five million dollars a year and a five year deal. Now he has a lot more head coaching experience. Yeah. One Kenny Payne yeah, correct, correct, Yeah,

we'll make that has a system. Yes, he knows what he's doing, right, Yeah, a sexy name, yeah, and in in the in the interim here, uh steady, not that sexy. He did point out it's kind of difficult to recruit at b YU because you guess, Drake, what is it? Uh, you can't you can't have a by the way everywhere. Yeah, and you have to take a year where you do a mission trip in Africa wherever, and you have to have five girlfriends. No, that's not true to manage that, didn't they kick a guy off

their basketball team because he and his girlfriend hooked up. I think that's actually the case, right, you can't have sex on campus. Yeah, and they are like, he violated the campus rules and where everybody's like, what's that, We're like, oh, we can't say it, but here's some ideas. Yeah, I mean, are you kidding me? Yes? And now he's gonna go to Kentucky where obviously limited resources and all that. It was Brandon Brandon Davies was kicked off the b YU basketball team for violating the

quote honor code for hooking up with his girlfriend. Well he had the honor code, but it was good on her. Stop it but bump. All right, So we are at the fireplace at Middletown. Please come see us again. Louisville and Kentucky now have their coaches again. There hasn't been an official note, but five point five million dollars for five years sounds pretty reasonable for Mark Pope to come to Kentucky. I think both schools made good calls. Yes, I really do in cheap calls, like not cheap, but

before Yeah, Louisville. Louisville did well in this, and Kentucky went from having to pay this guy thirty five million dollars and go find a coach to uh, hey, we don't have to pay the thirty five million, and then we just reduced our coach, our coaching pay by half. What you need is a competent to more competent coach, but better yet, a roster builder that can do it every single year. And by the way, post roommates. When he was at Cardinal Cardinal Jams, Jeff Shepherd was Jeff.

Yeah, it was Jeff Shepherd almost at Allen Shepherd, and I was like, no, that's and part of this too, could be to keep a read around. Yeah, now that that's what I'm saying is temporarily that's at least a good sign that the roommates are best friends and they can say, hey, you know, hope your son's days. Yeah, you know. Uh so, all right, a big blue nation will react all day all day. Were they going to be happy with anybody? Yes, but outside

of the first day. But the ones that call, the ones that were mocking Louisville Fan after Kelsey was hiring, go, now that we're looking for us, you will We'll show you why we're Kentucky and your Louisville. Well guess what. Yep, that's that attitude. I told you when Mike Norvel was Alabama wanted him. Yeah. Yeah. One of the tweets was, so when we take your coach, yeah, are you gonna be mad or

proud? Yeah? Yeah, that's the fan base you're dealing with. Yes, yes, all right, okay, so let's move to the other top story. Everyone our age uh knows. O. J. Simpson as is the juice Paul culture wise, he was the nineteen nineties before that, running through in the eighties, running through airports, hurtling chairs for her. Yes, he was one of the first black people that they would put in a national TV commercial. He was the crossover personality, a million dollar smile,

smart, good looking. Everyone loved O. J. Simpsons. He was Nordberg. He was Everyone loved him. And then obviously what happened in nineteen ninety four which glued us to all the television. Bob Costas was on NBC This Morning, Yeah, talking about that day when it went screen split screen.

You can blame that or credit that for the twenty four hour news cycle and all the talking heads on cable TV, and then they interviewed, so they showed a video of a couple of the jurors later, right, and the jurors said, did you all quit just because you all hated lapd and they and they're like ninety percent of the jury. Yeah, revenge for the Rodney Keane situation. Exactly right, It's exactly right. It's exactly right.

So one hundred and fifty million people watched the verdict and a handful of lawyers that weren't very good lawyers got their own TV shows. Yes, yes they did. And the Kardashians came out of that. And the whole glove a quit thing. Yeah, you watch him trying it on. First of all, it was covered with blood, so it's shrinking. Yeah, yeah, And he's got another glove already on his hand right there. It's kind of

obvious why it doesn't fit. And that was just the last second thing when he when he saw him, Johnny Cochran saw him in like before anybody was there, trying to get the glove on. He was like, bingo, that's what you're going to do and told him to stro We made it about race, and then of course all of the characters, from the prosecutor to the Marcia Clark Marcia Clark. Did you know she She'll tell you. She goes. I didn't think I was going to get this O. J.

Simpson trial, She goes. I went and got a perm for the first time in my life, She goes in. It was a huge mistake that I got the perm and now one hundred million people watching and making fun. Okay, terrible was a boon for Court TV. Oh my god, them on the map. Okay, So the board, let's go to j CPS board. John, I heard you in the top of the hour news. Two of the six j CPS board members are going to not run for re election, and I think people are gonna be unhappy because it's the one that

that's not not not the one that's doing. District seven's Sarah McIntosh and District four's Joe Marshall have said they will not seek to retain their seats in the upcoming election in November. What is the process? That's it just an open seat, open election appointed? How does that work? No, that that they're if I understand what I when I was reading correctly to do the story.

Their term is up. So they're not going to just run again in November to seek the seat UH. Anybody they're they're considered open school board seats UH for the upcoming election, and anybody that wants to run to fill those seats has until June fourth defile as a candidate. Parents that don't like the way things are going, somebody strap them on and let's flip this board.

There has been a narrative that said, if you really want to change the board, you're never going to do it through voting because people don't pay attention and they don't care. It's the same reason with the judges. You don't flip judges because no one knows who they help outside of the president sator.

They don't know. You don't pay attention to anything. So here's an alternative of thought pattern that maybe Frankfort would go with, is instead of doing a million a couple of million dollar study on what you know, if they got h for JCPS, was splitting up the district, just switch the law. Because the governor picks the board at U of L and picks the board at UK. You're telling me that the governor shouldn't pick that for JCPS also, So flip it to that and maybe you get the board you want. You

probably get five liberals. Again, well no, well looks but year's in the second term. That's it. So I remember this. Are they going to get a conservative governor in the next term? Probably? Probably, But Matt Bevan had a guy in place that was looking for accountability in the school systems and the firsd you know, the guy would think he's wearing his dad's suit. He had to pick suit on. But the very first thing that Governor Bashier did at the behest of the board in the school districts was fire

him. Yeah. Yeah, so Andy put a competent board together. I doubt it. Yeah, no, not anytime soon. But that's a call on that, all right. So and again, yes, they got rid of bussing for about fifteen to sixteen thousand students. They had no choice, there are no bus drivers. But do you know, you say, though the folks around here don't pay attention to the elections for school board, do you think after what's happened this year and everything has come to light, they're

paying more attention. It might be more interested in who they're voting for. No, because the last term, when all of it was going into the toilet, they had four count them, four more conservative board members running for seats that running for seats, they flipped exactly zero of them. So no, I don't agree with that. I think I think people don't know or don't pay attention. It's just what day after day we gave the names. Yeah, alf the time, these people get elected because of name recognition.

That's all it is. I think I remember remember the jab like five years ago, all the jingles. Everyone had, the jingle, Oh I know that name, that's my favorite jingle. All right, uh, Gust, do you have the joke of the day? No, all right, let's joke, Gus. Do you have the immunity music ready to go? I don't have that either. I'm all kinds of Okay, I got you. I got there's a Caliaphe music on the button bar to you. By the way, when you're here at the fireplace, come by for free lunch today,

free lunch at the fireplace. Come bine seats and middy. Okay, gotcha, I'm looking for it. Oh, by the way, a street bridge will be shut down Friday afternoon. That's kind of big news. Only only three hours, only two and a half hours they're gonna be it will be fully reopened weather permitting by five pm today, all lanes, both directions. They finished the repairs. Are we feeling good about our bridges? No, I'm not, No, not really? All right, So in lieu

of the art, I'm gonna I'm gonna be brave. Give me the ball. I'm going to the hood. George out, immunity music. There it is, there, it is, there is, there is We make it happen. Woo right, this is gonna be Aggie joke Friday. So hey fellas, Hey, hey go Why did God create armadillos? I don't know, John, Why did God create armadillo so Aggie's could have something to eat on the half shell? Not bad? April twelve, twenty twenty four, The Tony and Dwight Show, David or Dwight will be back on Monday.

Gus is producing. Johnny's got the news, and we got plenty of it to talk about. Keep it where you got it. We'll talk to Bloomberg in this crazy mix of a market up and down all week long and not a lot of good. We'll find out a Friday, we'll turn it around. On news Radio eight forty w h an all right, we are broadcasting live from the fireplace in Middletown. Come by for free lunch today is smoke Ribbi burgers, brots and hot dogs. About eleven forty five ish. Eleven

forty five ish would be the guy. All right, we're going to talk to Denise Pellgreeney in a second. But first Unlimited Landscape just down the road. That's where they're based for the last thirty years. Unlimited Landscapes does, of course landscaping, but pool installation is what they really pride themselves at, designing and putting resorts in people's houses. That's what they do now. They've been doing pool installation for twenty five years. You could trust them top to

bottom with a pool installation. I have no idea why that business is so weird, but they can do it all. The pool house is the waterfalls, the all of the bushes and trees and all that they can put it in there. You can build a resort in your backyard with Unlimited Landscapes dot Com. All right, Denise, how are you? I'm great? How are you doing happy? It is Friday, We're at a barbecue. We're at a you know, we're getting barbecue today, so I'm feeling pretty good.

I know how do you guys get that deal we've been trying. They won't. They're not giving it to us. No, no, no, I will, I will, I will send it to you. And you guys get like cracked crab and stuff like oh yeah, New York. No, seriously, no, we get like bottled water. There's a bottle of water for your next break. Thank you. All right, you're gonna need

more than bubbled water to get through the day today. Oh, we got stuck futures lower yeah, dows down on the many futures as we like to call them, going into the open, down two hundred and forty point and P five hundred, down forty nasdak down one hundred and ninety one. Now bank earnings they kind of suckle little bit. That's part of the problem. Also, we've got a report just out showing stronger than expected import prices,

so we've got inflation worries. Midi's tension, as you've been talking about, sources a Israel bracing for a possible attack from Iran. Drones and missiles could be used. This does have the potential to trigger an all out regional war. That's what's got investors really. World gold futures right now, they're sitting at an all time high, and we've got crude oil higher as well. Ford Bronco story for you, and it's not one related to OJ. The

government's Auto Safety Agency looking into a Ford Bronco recall. This is for gasoline leaks, guys, from cracked fuel injectors that can cause engine fire. Sounds bad, right, but the problem is actually US officials say in documents that the remedy doesn't actually fix the leak, so presumably that's what they're looking at. It's not clear if that's actually true. And when was the last time

you were in an auto race? Been a while? Formula One speeding ahead with efforts to make the Grand Prix more of an everyman kind of thing. Now Liberty media trying to make the auto race, with the reputation of being for the elite, you know, Kings and Queen's, more accessible for fans in the US, especially families who want to experience it more I guess like

a football game. And as I mentioned, we are looking at a lower open right now for stocks today this Friday session, with a lot of concerns about inflation, and we do indeed have that lower open with the news Radio eight forty WHS Bloomberg Money Report. I'm Denise Pellgreney By. I wonder who Morgan Wallan's favorite basketball coach of all time was? Mark Pope. No, probably Bobby Knight. Oh yeah, throwing a chair out a window. He won't do a second a jail in the middle of the day. In the

middle you mean he got dark in the middle of the day. It was spectacular, by the way, and by the way, again, we made fun of it, and it seems stupid, but I enjoyed ninety eight percent totality. Extra weird, weird, all right. Grill Masters are here today, the hog father So we have a huge event here at the fireplace tomorrow for their one year birthday. That's right, So they've been around for one year. So Dwight would say, so when when you have melts in your

mouth brisket? Yeah, you wonder, how do I get it there? How can I do that? I don't know where to start. You start at the fireplace. They have the knowledge, they have to get it, the equipment. Yeah, for all skill levels. Yes, they'll learn you. We're gonna talk to Molten right now with the hog Fathers, but we're first going to get our engineered hook up a third headset as we're sitting here to talk. Don't worry again. I told you for about three hours this

afternoon. The Second Street bridge, or when I get yilled at by old folks in Saint Matthews, it'd say it's the Clark Memorial brands. Stop. Yes, the Second Street brand. Well you cross it. Then Tomorrow, by the way, is the one year anniversary. So it'll be their second yes, their first birthday as they're one, and then they'll go into their second seat there too, and they'll have chopped beef sliders, chicken wings, smoked wings. It's jalapeno cheddar, Sasha's brisket and ribs. Ten percent off

almost everything here and half off the delicious Danos seasoning Moulton. How are you? Oh? Hang on? We is he turned up? I don't think you gotta make sure everybody is there. You go do it again? Do it again? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, hot fathers. Everybody here ready to rock down to describe what we have on the plate today for free lunch. Well, today we have some uh Rabbi burgers, ground Rabbi burgers, oh, nice, fresh brats, yes, and some hot

dogs. Oh, I'm in Yeah, I'm feeling it. I'm feeling it. And then of course tomorrow one year. You believe we've been doing remotes out of here for about a year and you kind of jumped on board in the middle of the way, and it's been a great run with the with the Hogfathers. Do you start cooking for tomorrow today? I've got a brisket on right now, and I've got two giant uh chuck roast, yeah,

pounds apiece? Yeah. Man, smoker now yeah. Uh. They sell the smokers here and you can start with the least expensive and move on up to the big daddy Lincoln and Cadillac of these bad boys. And you don't have to pull it behind your car. I mean you can do that if you want. They have patio sized ones, larger ones, whatever you need, it's here. But they're idiot right Oh most definitely, yeah, yeah, I mean if I can do it right, you know, Dwight and

holding all them, they're not offended by that. Oh, most definitely. Why I'd screw this up. Yeah, they have the idioprit but it really has changed the game. And I knew that because of Dwight, Because Dwight bought one. Uh, and I think it was reluctant to do it, even like he was like, oh okay, I'll buy. It's kind of cathartic for him to have a process, to have time consuming task. Yeah, it helps him. It helps it absolutely. And he's become this chef.

He brings in food all the time. The station. You're just like, oh my god, risk it. He's gotten really all that gosh. You you're asking about the brisket. Yes, so here's the secret. You put it on one of these pellet grills at one hundred and ninety degrees at about seven o'clock in the evening. You shut it, You do your rest of your evening, You go to bed. You get up the next morning. You check the temperature of the brisket. It's got probably about one seventy

You wrap it, turn the temp up another couple of hours. You've got mouth water and grazel. What is your rub of choice? I like just a very basic two parts coarse ground pepper sixteen mesh black pepper to one part salt, kosher salt. I use diamond crystal because it's flaky, and then a half a part of granulated garlic, and you mix all of that up, and just so amazing how often the best recipes are very simple. Yeah, what's the resting? What is that? Why do we rest the meat?

Okay? So resting brisket face, that's the other part. So once you wrap it and you take it off, you want to let it rest. Okay. So this brisket that I've got on right now will probably go about twelve to fourteen hours. I'm going to wrap it in a foil and I use a special well, I use aluminum foil, but I call it the foil boat method. So I'll leave the top exposed so that it builds

a nice crust, but all the juices congregate in the bottom. And then when I take that off, I'm going to rest it down to about a hunt at about one hundred and fifty degrees, and I'm going to rest it overnight. Now is the pal wa wait wait wait wait? Why are we resting it overnight? Okay? So the reason that you rest the meat is to let it relax, let it reabsorb the juices. That's what's gonna give

you your your juiciness. Now the pellet grill, because I have an offset would one and that takes some maintenance and refueling, and it's kind of a paint. On one side there's charcoal and on the other side you're doing you're smoking, and you're controlling the temperature with the damper and gotta keep re upping with the pellets. Is that electric then, well, it's electric. It's a it's a there's an augur that just pushes the pellets in and just creates

the smoke the heat. Yeah, do you have to refuel during this time? No? I mean most of these will hold about twenty pounds of pellets. So depending on your temperature, the higher the temperature, the faster the pellets are gonna burn. You're pretty good at just the weber, buddy, Yeah, I am pretty good, all right. Okay, if you get into this thing, man, you're gonna get fat. Yeah. Well, Becky's a vegetarian, so oh yeah, spending on meat for me, it

just doesn't it doesn't happen to still roller eyes going so fish. So, Dave, you have an offset smoker? Uh huh. So the big roasts that are on the smoker right now are on a big off set. Oh okay, yeah, so every forty five minutes, I got a head head back over there and make sure that my temp is right. Yep, yep, add some fuel yep, all right. Molton is his name. He's with the Hogfathers. We're gonna have lunch here. What do you think about

eleven thirty ish forty five ish or something like that. Okay, elevenish, all right, eleven o'clock free lunch here at the UH at the Fireplace in Middletown. Molten, It's always good to talk to you, bro, Thank you very much, Gosha Man. All right again, a huge event tomorrow from eleven am to four pm. It's the one year birthday of the Fireplace in Middletown. All right, so uh the big news today. O.

J. Simpson passed away yesterday. The last time I saw him, he looked healthy and was putting videos out last football season, doing point spreads here's why I like so and so to win and the odada, and he looked fine. You he was always in a golf cart somewhere. Did he have a podcast? I'm sure I think he did. He probably who doesn't The list of people that don't have a podcast, And what is a podcast? It's a radio show with less revenue. It's very cutting Edge his podcast,

Very Cutting Edge, all right, so so OJ Simpson. And of course the school board cutting busting. That is a huge story because it affects fifteen thousand families or students at least, and I don't know how many families because they have multiple kids. And you were talking about you know, we're talking about safety and all of that, but how parents and kids have changed at some points that I've got a story time to retire horror stories from teachers.

Oh, trying to deal with today's kids. Oh dude, they have no and they will tell you at the highest levels of JCPS the kids have changed. So all of us sitting here wondering what's going on. What's going on is parents are a no show and kids suck and there's no accountability. There's no accountability. Little jerk faces. And I'm not talking about all of them, but they're all you need is one or two and then the whole classrooms

disrupted. In the class is awful. To a couple of dozen gang bangers can ruin a city if you'll if you don't get them off the streets.

A couple of dozen problem kids, yes, can ruin a lot of classroom experiences for a lot of people, well, how many times did you go to uh you know, you knew you really like school, but fourth period there's this girl that's insane and she's always disrupting the class and your stomach starts to hurt because she's loud and you're just but she probably has some awesome eventually

later in life. Because you know you said the best stop is attached to the stop it crazos uh so of your saying you want to avoid going to that class, and it makes school miserable. So then what happens Then the numbers start to go down on I mean, the truancy goes up because I'm not going to school today, and the teachers have to spend their time disciplining or trying to at the expense of other kids learning it. Don't blow it.

You has blown things that are fortiate. No, I have many school teachers that are friends that are like in some of the schools they teach it and they're like, it does It's not a day goes by that I don't put somebody's not putting their hand on me, right and I'm sorry. Back in the day, you're expelled you touch a teacher who wants that job, you're expelled. Who wants that job? So you can't touch a referee, but you can touch a teacher. And Mark Pope, of course, hired

at UK for the head basketball coach. I think that is to the dismay and disappointment of some of the UK fans that were like, oh, Louisville got Kelsey, wats what our power does? Haha? You tried, you tried the biggest names. They all said no, yes, do in some part because of you, the fans and the expectations of the job. So all the names that were left weren't that sexy. No. Now, I will say this though, but eventually, you know, CALIFERI had to start

somewhere. Rick started somewhere, Mark Pope's. But here's the thing. Starting somewhere you do. You should have to be able to check every box. Gus, you probably have an opinion on this because you've been doing that. You're close to all the athletic departments and all that. Uh. You used to have to be the killer recruiter. Oh, who's he ever a recruited? Oh he's a killer recruiter. Does that even come into play anymore? I mean I don't think it well. I don't think that the NBA was

mentioned earlier. It's can you get them the NBA. I don't think that matters, because now you can come to stay in school for what seems like there was a guy got nine a ninth year. Nine years in college. You can make a million dollars sticking around in college. There's no guarantee you're gonna go to the NBA. Why wouldn't I just stick around as far as I could in college? You know? So it's kind of changed in that that's what she boy did. He said, Okay, one more year.

Huntley Hatfield, the guy that started last year at the five, he's asking for a million dollars? Are you crazy? I saw a million and a half. A coach got a call from a they didn't say who it was, and they're currently on team. They wanted a million and a half to come to the team. Recruits are asking for five thousand dollars just to come to campus. Now, Oh boy, I not take a lot of visits. A lot of colleges were paying me five grand not to come to campus.
