Oh, somebody got me a doctor last week thanks to the staff at Baptist. He's good to be back with my buddy, Dave Jennings. How you doing, Dave, Good to have you back, brother. Oh my gosh, that is some rough, almost cussed rough stuff. This flu. There's flu going around that I was in there. They also said that COVID was going around. So I used to be a selective germophobe. Here's what I

mean, Okay, a couple of reasons. I would worry about shicking hands and wash my hands all that, but yeah, I would still eat stuff out of garbage cans and do disgusting stuff like that. Then that kind of I guess evolved to being a selective germophobe. This way. I knew that I would be going to UH. I was going to vacation in October. So around mid September I start to sanitize, and I started to take bottles of alcohol and rub my hands no matter what I do all day and crack

I'm open. That behavior would go all the way into around on to April, late April, okay, and then I would always get this sense of security. Hey it's summer, there's no flu. There's no codes, and then I get the flu in the middle of the summer, in the middle of the sun, the middle of the sum Now you also prepped for Mexico by drinking a bottle of tequila a day and other things. Yeah, I did, And then you got down there and continued. Any chance your immune

system was a little bit compromised. Okay, So our next girlfriend of mine reached out and said, hey, what was his name? Trying to do a broad tap? You cant heng on? Let me just give met me, just give myself together, hang on all right, deep breaths. Anyway, she said, hey, uh, recently stopped at drinking. I'm going to AA. Did you know that alcohol? Where's your immune system down? And sent me this and I was like, wow, it kind of makes

sense. The timeline kind of kind of kind of lines up. So I guess from this point forward, I'm also going to be a germaphobe in the summer. People in radio and I'll get off this because we got some important stuff to talk about. People in radio, a lot of us seem to be germophobes. And here's why. Because we make our living with our voice, and when we can't, you off for work and you can't cut commercials. Well, you're losing money, and you know you just I feel horrible

when I call him sick. I was apologizing to you and Tony. It happens, and I want to say thank you one more time. But it's good to be back. And let's get right into it. Man. Elephant in the room. Yeah, as in Democrat elephant. Oh wait a minute, sorry, that's a Republican. Uh, elephant in the room. It looks like that Joe Biden has dropped out of the race. We saw it coming, yeah, everybody, you know, everybody kind of did. And

and we'll talk about that. And we've also I've been I'm told I don't know when, but they said sometime this hour we're supposed to hear from the president. So oh is that? Uh? I think that's him? Do we have it? We do? Okay, So evidently we're getting ready to go to President Biden and see what he has to say. All right, here we go. Oh my god, gosh, no, sir, right, hey, hey what he Well, there we go. It's to the point. I mean, that was right to the point. Not very presidential,

man, not very presidential. Wow. But I will say I've heard a lot of great presidents speak, and that was a really good one. It was right to the point. It wasn't very presidential, but wow, he really got to it. He did. So. When you can't financially break your opponent, when you can't falsely in prison in your opponent, when there's a failed assassination attempt, I'll just leave that one out there. You do your own math. Sometimes you got to take the TKO. I guess

right. Indeed, do you think that this is going to open eyes to a lot of people with the media, And here's what I mean. For years and years, three and a half years, we've been saying, hey, the man's incompetent. What are you doing? It's gotten worse. We knew this in the campaign four years ago. No, absolutely, And if you were to speak out on that on social media, you were calling a nut job, amongst other things. Sometimes your account would be suspended if you

shared actual videos. Who did that happen to his name rhymes with Dwight Witten. Happened many times. But do you think it's going to open eyes? Because now it proves to us this amongst many things about the media. If you remember during COVID, if you would bring up Iva Mechtron, they would slaughter it. People were getting losing their jobs over that. I haven't why are you pushing that? Doctors with alternative theories were banned from social media absolutely,

and now that is one of the treatments for COVID nineteen. But if you were to speak the truth, they would silence you, ridicule you, sometimes fire you. I think a few people might be awakened by this. Most of them don't care. As long as the big D wins, that's all that matters. Well, will the big D win, because here's what I'm let's not call it the big D. Look, look, here's the thing, though, there's what three four months, three and a half months

until the election. Somewhere in there we're walking in all this. We'll call it four to be generous. Okay, it takes about two years just to ramp up a presidential campaign, meaning they start out with this, you know, they start campaign, they start, they start a staff. But it doesn't just happen a year out. Well, the ground game is in place of Harris's the nominee, and she like will be well, okay, let's let's see, let's let's go to this article that I read. The presumptive

nominee for the Democratic Party. Biden had the majority of the delegates in the primary election. Okay, but now since that he's dropped out, all of the delegates are now free to vote for whoever they choose. Technically, the votes went for the ticket Biden. Harris. Yeah, but with that said, because Biden dropped out, now all of the delegates that nominated, or all the delegates they haven't nominated because they haven't had the DNC yet, but

now they're free to vote for anyone else they choose. They're no longer required to vote at the convention. They can have an open They can have an open convention if they want. That's pretty risky. Remember they got Fetterman elected with early voting. Feederman had a seven hundred thousand vote lead before any but he saw the debate and realized he couldn't speak. The Democrats are confident they

can get anybody elected, see four years ago. If they make her the nominee, now they can rally the machine behind her start to reinvent her. If they wait till the convention to try to get someone else in, there would be very difficult. I think, well, and here's another thing, Dave, no serious candidate will throw our hat in at this point. Here's what I mean, no serious, because once you run for president for your party, if you fail at that, then you're done politically as political wealth

side not Biden he ran with three times before he got elected. Oh so not always well, but he he never got to be the oh the candidate though he never made it through the primary. No, no, no, yeah. But what I'm saying is if you make it through the primary and you're the legitimate candidate, and you get your ass handed to you and the president, they're never going to go back to that. Well again, probably not. Now here's where the Democrats made a mistake, and they've done it

twice. Now. People always talk about all the vice presidential nominee. That's really not a big deal. It's mainly about the top of the ticket. Which is true. However, four years ago, when Hillary Clinton won, I'm sorry, when she lost and barely lost, who did she pick as a veep? A white dude that looked like the joker? Yeah? Who bullied Mike Penson the debate like Trump did dibided in the first debate last time

out. If you had a young, dynamic JD vance type future of the party person to get excited about the Democrats probably get another hundred thousand votes and win that thing. But no, Hillary had to dan quail it. It's about me, you like me, you really really like me. It's not the undercard. And they did it a second time with Kamala Harris. They said we're gonna have a black female. They came out and said that how many millions more black females are there as competent or more than Kamala Harris.

If they had a planed, b solid future of the party JD vance type sitting there now, this would be a no brainer for them. Bad veep pics might cost them two elections, and I would say it would be a horrible vice president pick for him, just for the fact that if you recalled during the Democratic primary. I may be wrong on this, but I don't

think I am. Harris was one of the first ones out in the primary, and she had like the lowest polling numbers there were she was the least popular of all twenty candidates or so, and the first one to drop out. Well, there you go, and that's who they picked. See previous argument as their veep. Okay, the least popular person. And here's another thing. So we all know, I mean Biden, he doesn't know what he's doing. We've all been saying that. And if you say that,

you're a conspiracy theorist. If you view video from one of his rallies and you go, hey, look the guy can't walk off the stage by himself, oh, that's hate speech. But it's starting to unravel, right, you know, everything's starting to come out right now. My point being, we've seen all those videos. People that watch seeing an An MSNBC haven't seen any of them. We've been watching him for four years. Handshakes to nowhere. Right. But here's the thing. If you say, what whoa whoa,

whoa, whoa wah, those are cheap fakes. They say they're cheap fakes. Well, no, they're not his actual video from you know, one of his appearances. My question is, if he's not able to even run for office, what the hell is he doing behind the desk in the oh office. If you're not fit to run for office, you're certainly not fit to be the leader of the free world. Makes perfect sense, which is why they should elevate Kamala threaten the twenty fifth, like they did to

Nixon. Get her in there to run then as an incumbent, give her a few months to do some presidential things. That's to me what they have to do. Hang on, I'm not sure that they will. Hang on, Dave, I'm getting something your hang on? Oh you got uh? Okay, hang on? Okay, yeah, oh there's the music. Okay. I'm being told now that Vice President Kamala Harris is going to address the nation. Do you have any button in their days? I do, I've got it hanging she's up to the podium. Wow, Okay, you know

what that was? Deep? I feel better now, I do as a matter of fact, might be voting for her after that. But all of those foibles and slip ups we pulled from social media, watch them today if you want. If they're not already pulled, they are going to reinvent Harris can Dave, you didn't record that, by any chance? Did you? Which one? Kamala? I? Did you want to hear it again? Yeah? But some kind of low I kind of want to get fired up. Okay, okay, just cut this back up for you. Yes,

yes, oh yeah, there's like three T shirts in there. Golly, I want to run through a wall right now. She's got me fired up? Is it going to be Harris and you're hearing and uh Andy b Sheer might be running with her. That's a Possibility's truth that sure, there is goodness. Could you talk about today being tomorrow again today or yesterday? All right? Lots to get to on the show where we'll be talking about what was that Governor? Oh wow? Yeah. If if you're gonna hang around

with us the rest of the morning, we appreciate it. Doctor Henry Sadlow is going to be coming in with a very special guest and we're talking heart health. Also, Greg Getcher's coming in. We're gonna oh my buddy, Yeah, as much as I hated get Your's coming in and we're going to talk about the assassination a little bit more in depth because we still haven't heard

anything. There's still only answers. There's still no press conferences. If there's a school shooting or something of this nature, usually there's a press conference update every single day, unless it's a transgender person in a school and you never hear about that point. That's a good point. Depends on the narrative. Lots to get to including hopefully Courtney doneh and reeling in the years. And I've been told now we're going hang on, Dave, something in my ear,

Yeah yeah, yeah, Are you getting this too. They're saying that President Biden's gonna do a joke of the day. He is, oh, wow, Okay, then I'm gonna sit back and uh, whenever you get the green light, go ahead and put him on. I gotta do this for him. He doesn't know protocol. Hey Fellas, you say, hey, hey President, Hey President dude again, Hey Fellas, Hey President, come on, Joe, you got to talk to us anyway. Oh Hillary, stop it already. Let's go to the president now with the joke of

the day. Wow. Not bad, bad, mister president at all. Wow. I didn't realize we would have so many big guests in the very first half hour. But wow, glad you're here with me. Dave. Are you kidding me? It's good to be out of that bed. And uh sometimes I'm like, it would be nice to go back to Bedford

Collaud, you know what? You know what? That's I always have daydreamed of man. I would like just because I was i'd run crazy some of my wife. I always thought, you know what, to be good, just to lay in bed and watch TV for like three days. And man, I got to tell you, I was miserable the first day. Oh really, No. See, for me, I'm so tired in general and always running after the kids and everything that I find a trip to the hospital quite delightful. Yeah. And I'm like, it's a break and I get

to go to sleep for a couple of hours. I'm like, oh, the beeps are so comforting. That's what I was thinking. But man, it didn't pan out for me that way. I was just miserable. Ah. Well, I'm glad you're out of there. I'm glad you're here. Yes, yes, I'm how was you go ahead? And you rested all weekend too, so you're up? Okay? Good? Yeah I did even

after I got feeling better. The uh you know, the doctor said I wouldn't be contagious after twenty four hours without a fever and all this other business, so I would actually seventy two hours. But I didn't do anything. I hung out. I did a little cleanings about it too much. You know. I was looking for you to be the boy in the bubble. Yeah, right, when I ask you this, would you ever jump a horse over it? Didn't. Didn't somebody jump a horse over the bubble or

something? I remember that? Oh, the Boy in the Bubble? Now that was Fonsie and the barrels. No, No, I'm thinking about ab wrong on this. When Travolta when he was in the bubble, wasn't there somebody that rode a horse and jumped over the bubble or something? Maybe I was. I don't remember that party. I couldn't. I'm too old to remember this. I'm too old to remember what I had for breakfast, never mind a movie that I've seen years ago. But boy in a Bubble?

Yeah, with Travolta. And wasn't it his girlfriend at the time too? She was in it? Was it? Really? He died? Yeah? Oh wow? And then she died and then he moved on to I guess that's why I said, I guess somebody else. I was trying to be tactful about it. We're very taxed on this, very very attachical. But how was your weekend? Did you do anything fantastic? So on Friday, three of my friends they had their birthdays, and we were supposed to go

to a restaurant that I've been waiting to go for forever. We arrived and the food was terrible. Oh, I was so disappointed. And then in the middle of the dinner, the fire alarms go off, which scared all of us. So yes, we were. We were all excited because then we were hoping the firemen actually came to see us. Then on Saturday, we had our block party where my two children were the stars of the show, singing along they were we did. They had a whole karaoke sort of

thing. And one of my neighbors, so I've never met before, this dude. He gets up there in like a Yankees jersey and he belts out just like Sinatra. It was amazing. He serenaded us while we were eating our public dinner. It was delicious. Well, last question, I saw you were You and Sloan and Evid went to the botanical gardens and face painted. Bloomberg rented the whole entire Botanical guard gardens And then they had food, they had drinks, they had entertainers, and yes, my son was Deadpool.

Oh, I thought he was Putty from Seinfeld and the Jersey Devil. I'm gonna show you how to dave the picture. Oh, I know. The thing is I was waiting for and We were waiting for an hour to get this and was so hot yesterday and I was standing in the sun and I finally get to the front and my son goes up and he's like deadpool. And the woman turns to him and goes, I'm not doing any custom sort of things. And I'm like, you're gonna slap red on him and

then put black eyes. So yes, I turned into angry bear mama going putman red. Yes, evidently we're running behind, so I got to give you the market. I'll talk to you next hour, right, Yes, yes, but we have real in in the years, so yeah, Well we'll continue this throughout the morning, my dear, and we kick off a new trading week. We do see stocks higher, markets have a read. He had plenty to deal with as summer kicks into full gear, and now

investors are assessing President Biden's moved to end the re election campaign. So the DALL was up one hundred and fifteen points, the S and P five hundred, rising seven tents of percent, the tech having Nastac leading the weight. Today it's up about one percent. With the news radio eight forty wha s Bloomberg money report. I'm Courtney Donaho. Oh what a song right there, It just takes you right back New Heart News Radio eight forty whas Tony Vinetti

out on vacation. It's me and my buddy Dave Jennings, and I know that you guys. I guess you covered this Friday or did you? We mentioned he passed away at the age of ninety four. What a run, man, What a run, What a guy. I've got a lot of comedic influences in me since I was a child, Don Rickles, Red Fox, Norm McDonald, Richard Pryor. But I do have to say that he was one of the major early influences on me. And I love the self

deprecating humor. And one of his favorite things that he did for me was the one sided phone calls or the one sided conversations. You know that. And my favorite one I would have to say is when he was is it double Day? I can't remember the I thank an double day, Abner double Day, going to a game who you know like Parker and Parker and that they make the games like Monopoly, trying to pitch the game of baseball And if you indulge me for three minutes and thirty seconds, I just want to

play in his memory. Nobody will ever play this game. I loved it, ye man, Bob Newhart rest in piece ninety four. It was a good run. Let's go ahead and do the box office receipts while we're up. Heure real quick, I will say it's not in the top five. I'll tell you about a movie I did. Actually I didn't go to the movies, but okay, I had the option to rent or buy. It was a new one and I loved her. Okay, coming at number five

A Quiet Place, Day one. I've heard a couple of people that loved it, but most said, probably shouldn't have made this one six point one million. I finally watched The Quiet Place. I'd never seen it, but when you're sick, you know how you grab it anything. Yep, what the hell, I'll give it a run. It was all right, have you seen him? I saw the first two, did not see the third

one. I didn't see the second one. It came up after Phineis and said, that's enough of that, because you know, there's a whole lot of talking. So that's hence the title of the movie, right. You know, if that would have happened in modern day it would be me and my wife, Susan. We'll be dead in like the first twenty five seconds because we'll hide and you go, do you think they'll find us here?

Shit? And then we'll be dead. So anyway, that comes in at number five at Quiet Place, Day one, number four, eleven point seven million. Not sure what the long legs is that? The old Tony saw that one. That's what Nick Cage as the bad guy. He said, it's really really good. He said it was really good. Okay, Yeah, serial killer, horror suspense kind of flick. What horror? Oh horror okay or what he said? I still might see it, okay. Inside

Out two that was twelve point eight million. That comes in at number three. Number two is a guess is a cartoon? Despicable Me? Part four? That is a cartoon? Steve Carell voices that one. That's the main character. Yeah, twenty three point eight million. And then coming in at number one Twisters. Oh they made it? Is that a sequel to Twister? It is? Does it have the same cast in it? Gee? I hope it has the same kind of plot. Now I'm not sure who's

in it. To be honest with you, yours, this is NIF five. There's only been seven of them in the history. Merp. Then you have this special tornado camera. The only thing I want about the original one is the van Halen human beings. There you go, humans being humans being I'm sorry on the soundtrack, here's what I watched. Okay, I've never I can't remember that never. But I can't remember the last time I rented a movie or went to Actually, I can't remember the last time I went

to the movies. It was Dawn of the Dead with Tony in like two thousand and five. Wow, when they made that. Haven't been since. So I'm actually this after I was sick, I was over the weekend. I was still resting. I saw that the bikers, the bike riders, the bike Riders was out on rental. The bike riders, Yeah, the bike riders said about the Tour de Front, Well, see a couple of weeks ago into the receipts, I had no idea what it was about. And then Tony goes, oh, it's just about bikers. Well I watched

the trailer. I thought, God, that past looks like thet I thought that pass looks like the Outlaws. And they started doing some research. They say, yeah. It was based on the Outlaw MC. I grew up up with two different Louisville Outlaws at two different times. I mean they were ages apart, and I always looked up to them. But I so I rented it, and no, I didn't. I started to rent it. I know it was to purchase it. It was gonna be six dollars more. I bought the damn thing and it was great. Oh cool, it

was absolutely terrific. The Bike Riders. If you get a chance, check that out. It was a really good movie. Other things that I did over the weekend was special lady time. Oh my wife, Susan, that's right, So you weren't contagious, well kind of maybe. Oh I know that.
