Did the Civil Rights movement miss the whole concept that it comes with a component of Equality?  Did someone purposely leave out that part?  Did someone fail to share that living in a civil society actually requires civil obedience?  And, that to demand equal rights means too that it comes with equal responsibility and accountability.
One cannot demand equal rights without accepting the call to exhibit equal social responsibility.  If one demands the right to work, one must make themselves skilled and valuable to work.  If one demands to be treated equal, one must elevate themselves to gain a fair advantage, which Equity is NOT.
I believe many today have been mislead to believe that Civil Rights doesn't come with the responsibility of Equal Justice.  Use Fani Willis as a perfect example.
