The nation is holding its collective breath, waiting to see the fallout of the two large banks that failed in the last five days. Meanwhile, President Biden assures Americans that everything is OK, that these banks' failures are an aberration, and that everything in our banking system is safe. (His saying so is a lie!) The ONLY protection for individuals and corporations in our banking system is FDIC. This gov't entity is supposed to ensure all of our deposits in banks. However, the facts show we have $22 Trillion deposited in our banking system. Of those dollars, the amount that the FDIC insures is only 1.26% of the deposits.
