Episode description

Daymeon Fishback has contributed as a game and studio basketball analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network since 2014.  You can find him on your tv set multiple times a week breaking down college hoops action.  We discuss his experiences as a player, the deeply competitive Southeastern Conference, and the greater college basketball landscape.

Growing up in Bowling Green, KY, Fishback starred at Greenwood High School, leading the team to the 1995 State Tournament as a junior.  He followed that up with a senior campaign that saw him named Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball in 1996.

He then moved on to Auburn University, playing under legendary coach Cliff Ellis and serving as a team captain.  In 1999, the Tigers won the SEC regular season championship, earning a number one see in the NCAA tournament.  After battling multiple injuries and playing professionally in the D-League, Italy, Yugoslavia, and France, Fishback spent a decade in the financial services industry before beginning his career as an analyst at ESPN.
