The Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Been a bit longer than expected of this episode but here it is. This one is on the Waverly Hills Sanatorium, a charming fixer-upper located in Louisville, Kentucky. With such exquisite features such as leftover lead based paint, body chute, spacious add-on, and of course hauntings, this sanatorium/prison/church is fine location to relax or leave your tuberculosis riddled family. Although it may have been more recently acknowledged in the paranormal they have been around for a nit of time, and some of the examples we talk about support that. Our drink takes inspiration from a common liminal space this time so we have called it the Banana Backrooms. Fear the power of Santa! This magical being creeps into your house at night and watches you at all times. Now that sounds pretty paranormal to us. We do look into the history of Santa, how he became so well known over time and across the world. Then we grab a seasonal styled drink, the humble hot chocolate, with a few added ingredients to make it part of TTLD.

This episode we bring up a few of the more well known cases of abductions. Betty and Barney Hill and Travis Walton are some of our subjects of discussion as well as a drink know as the Galaxy Magic Moscow Mule, a color changing drink that may be otherworldly.

Season 2 - Episode 1 - Multiverse

This episode already released months ago on Earth B, but apparently we can’t sync up the releases over multiple dimensions. We talk about some of the examples of a multiverse in some media as well as the real world theories of potential multiple universes overlapping. Our drink, the Irish Raktajino, focuses on a theme that comes from TV series not unfamiliar to the idea of multiple universes, Star Trek. It is believed to be the closest thing you can get to the infamous Klingon coffee.

Episode - 7 - Djinn

Rub that bottle vigorously and have your wish granted. We are releasing the Djinn in this episode where we decide to talk about the magical and possibly inter-dimensional beings known as djinn, or more commonly genies. What are they exactly, where did they come from, are they imprisoned is bottles of spirts? We discuss this and more with a pairing of a Islay dry gin and a classic mixed drink.

Episode - 6 -Shadow Creatures

In this episode we are covering some dark content such as shadow creatures, black eyed children, and sleep paralysis. We also have a blackberry brandy as our paired drink selection to accent that dark theme.

The lesser known of the paranormal get some special attention in this episode. We talk about the Kraken, the massive ship eater that live in sailor legend, the Mothman, Point Pleasant’s herald of destruction, the Jersey Devil, the 13th child of Mother Leads, and the Fresno Nightcrawler.

Episode - 2 - Aliens

We discuss some of the more common alien types to get started and try a vodka that has a very close connection to space travelers. This time we include a mix known as the Alien Secretion and much like the visitors who enjoy abductions, we do some experiments with the recipe. We also have a phone interview from some who has seen strange lights in the sky which vanished with no true explanation.
