Episode description

In this episode we pay tribute to another badass rock musician gone too soon: Jimmy Bain (Dio, Rainbow, Last in Line.) We then jump into some talk about Trivium live, a new instrumental track from Mark Morton of Lamb of God (featuring JP of Clutch), and some interesting Van Halen info… then we delve into the new album from Megadeth, “Dystopia.” We give our thoughts on the new stuff, then work into some older stuff… including one of our favorites, Cryptic Writings, why Jason thinks Dave Jr. keeps things at a high level, how Dave Mustaine continually writes great tracks, how Risk sounds all these years later, why we love “Breadline” so much, and some other random ‘deth talk. We also play a couple great tunes from Oklahoma’s own Dirty Crush, and a band out of Nebraska we wanted to bring back for a second go around: Through the Stone. Thank you for listening, and please share!
