Now for us regular folks dealing with transitions - getting punched in the mouth can be equated to missing a deadline, not accomplishing a goal, blowing a commitment or missing a milestone. The question then becomes, "how do you deal with those situations?" While the answers will vary based on our experiences, I'm willing to bet we share the following related emotions:

• Fear and anxiety
• Confusion and embarrassment
• Self-judgement and guilt
• Blame
• Comfort
