Barnardos are the largest not-for-profit fostering and adoption agency in the UK and have over 100 years' experience of placing children with families. They find, train and support carers and adoptive families so they can transform children’s lives.
Thomas Barnardo set up a ‘ragged school’ to help disadvantaged children in 1867. Now they’re helping hundreds of thousands of children, young people, parents and carers across the UK.
They don’t abandon children because of who they are or what they’ve done. They listen to them, fight for their rights and do whatever it takes to protect and support them – because they believe that all children have the right to a happy and healthy life.
