#WoTsMegDrinking: Basic Brown
Inspiration: This cocktail represents the Brown Ajah. It’s brown in color and has pumpkin spice flavors that would be nice to enjoy while cozying up with a book. Since it’s a pumpkin spice old-fashioned, I called it the “Basic Brown” since it’s for basic Brown Ajah b*tches. Recipe: To make the pumpkin spice simple syrup. Heat 1/2 cup pumpkin butter with 1/2 cup of water for 10 minutes. Strain while warm into a glass and reserve and cool for later. (If you wanted, you could probably use store bought pumpkin spice syrup, but may not be as good). For the cocktail, in a rocks glass with a large ice cube or sphere, pour: 1.5 oz bourbon 1 oz of pumpkin spice simple syrup Stir Add 1 dash of angostura aromatic bitters And 1 dash of cinnamon bitters Garnish with a cinnamon stick and star anise if desired.
