In a 3Q3D first, Chris relinquishes his podcast hosting duties and, feeling liberated, holds nothing back in this particularly spirited episode about the celebrities dominating today’s headlines. With Amanda piloting the pod, the OG 3Q3D crew gets started early and pours several cocktails usually found at brunch; it quickly becomes clear that Chris has a Musk-sized man-crush, Matt’s knowledge of celebrity pop-culture stopped somewhere in the late 1980’s, and Amanda – despite her love of democracy – has the hots for King Charles.
Drinks in this Episode:
Classic Mimosa >> 1 part Champagne, 1 Part Orange Juice. Combine equal parts chilled Champagne and orange juice into a champagne flute. Enjoy with a variety of savory meats during your next brunch.
Screwdriver cocktail >> 1 part vodka, 2 parts orange juice. Combine vodka and OJ in a glass filled with ice and stir (preferably with a Phillips head screwdriver).
The World’s Best Bloody Mary >> 4 oz tomato juice, 2 oz vodka, ¼ tsp fresh grated horseradish, juice from ¼ lime, juice from ¼ lemon, 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce, 2 dashes Tabasco sauce, pinch of salt, pinch of celery salt. Combine everything except the vodka and refrigerate overnight. Add chilled concoction to a cocktail shaker with ice and the vodka, shake, and pour into a tumbler. Garnish with a celery stick, carrot, and fresh-cracked black pepper.
