#20 Work in life, Part 1

Working, whether it is physical work or working at a desk is good for us.

Yesterday, I worked in our garden mowing the grass and cleaning. It was enjoyable to get some physical exercise and enjoy the outdoors. This made me think about working and how good it is for us—and I thought it would be good to look at Work in Life.

A few weeks ago we looked at sickness and pain in life. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden God placed a curse upon this earth and our bodies. However, Adam and Eve worked in the garden before they sinned and this curse came upon mankind.

God gave them the job of taking care of the garden. So work should not be seen as bad or a curse. Working in life can be a great blessing!

Today we will look at how we are commanded to work, that it is good for us, and that it will bring joy and satisfaction in life. Next week, we will look at working for God with all our strength and finish the work He has given each of us.
