• U.S. Figure Skating wrapped up its Instagram lives for Pride Month with. Eliot Halverson, joined by Randy Gardner.

• U.S. Figure Skating posted a story about Rebecca Yowler, a queer librarian, minister and adult skater.

• The ISU posted an article that included an update on the whereabouts of the Ukrainian skaters who competed at the World Championships. 

• The U.S. Synchronized Championships will be held in Peoria, Illinois on March 1-4, 2023. 

• Nathan Chen has been nominated for an ESPY award and you can vote for him. You can watch the ceremony live on ABC on Wednesday, July 20 at 8 p.m. EST.

• Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline outlets reported that the Olympic Channel will be going dark on September 30. NBCUniversal which owns the Olympic Channel will be shutting down the network, but promises to “announce exciting new plans for Olympic Content in the fall.”   

• U.S. Figure Skating released its 2022/23 Team Envelopes

• Hannah Miller was a guest on Kayton Hall’s THE NEXT ACT podcast. The episode is titled "World Class Figure Skating, Sport Psychology and Athlete Mental Health 

• Kate Wang will be 1 of the 6 athletes featured on Stephen Curry's new “Level Up” Snapchat series.  This 6-part series airs weekly through 7/30.

• Skate Guard has expanded its Results page with 20 new blogs full of extensive results you couldn't previously just Google.

• As part of their centennial celebration, U.S. Figure Skating launched a podcast called Voices from the Ice. It’s hosted by Jessica Lawrence, a skating mom who is a skater herself. In their final episode, skaters Kaily, Kameryn and Blair discuss ways they want to help change the conversation when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Upcoming Events for the Week

• Skate Milwaukee is also taking place from July 6-10 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It will be livestreamed for free.

• Dallas Classic kicks off the National qualifying series events for dance. It takes place July 8-10 in Allen, Texas. 

Upcoming Summer Competitions 

• Skate Wilmington takes place July 12-17 in Wilmington, Delaware 

• Cactus Classic takes place in Scottsdale, Arizona - July 14-17 - it is a national qualifying series event for singles and pairs.
