Episode description

Our guest today on the podcast is beloved Australian songwriter Sarah Blasko. An ARIA Award-winning artist, Sarah has been a cornerstone of the Australian music scene for over two decades, first capturing hearts with her debut albums The Overture & The Underscore and What the Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have. Since then, she’s released five more studio albums, earned multiple Australian Music Prize nominations, and recorded two acclaimed records as part of supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper. This September, she’ll embark on her Double Feature tour, performing her first two albums in full, with both also being pressed on vinyl for the first time. In this episode, we talk with Sarah about revisiting these formative works 20 years on, the new meaning she’s found in her early lyrics, the thrill of bringing them back to the stage, and the joy of finally seeing them on vinyl.
