The Toronto four-piece have spent the past decade building one of the most exciting careers in alternative music—known for their chaotic energy, biting wit, and emotional honesty. This new record sees frontman Stefan Babcock at his most self-aware and vulnerable, with the band pushing their sound into more introspective territory. In today’s episode, we chat with Stefan and guitarist Steve Sladkowski about going into the album creatively aligned, working with producer John Congleton, and the balance between emotional weight and over-perfectionism.
