Our guest today is electronic producer and DJ Ninajirachi. Over the past decade, the Aussie artist has steadily built a reputation as one of the country’s most forward-thinking names in dance music, earning praise at home and abroad, supporting artists like Charli XCX and Porter Robinson, and landing nominations at the AIR Awards. This Friday, she’ll release her debut album I Love My Computer—a bold, euphoric and wildly inventive record inspired by 2010s dance and EDM, conceptually tied together by themes of technology and online life. In today’s episode, Ninajirachi joins us to chat about the making of the record, her creative process as a producer, and how she first fell in love with electronic music.
