Nicholas Allbrook

Making his welcome return to the pod, our guest today is prolific psych-rock songwriter Nicholas Allbrook. Known for his work in Pond, Tame Impala, and his solo project, Nick is making a brilliant return with his fourth solo record titled "Manganese," set to release on June 9th. In this episode, we chat with Nick about the inspirations behind the sonic landscape of his new album and how he approaches songwriting. We also discuss his forthcoming solo tour and the differences between touring with his bandmates in Pond. Nick also shares how he balances the beautiful and soaring melodies of his music, with the more serious themes in his songs.
