Indie rock royalty joins us on the pod today, as our guests are Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw from Metric! The Canadian indie-rock icons have been at it for over 20 years, winning both hearts and JUNO awards along the way. After letting go of what they could not control over the last 18-24 months, they recently released their brilliant eighth studio record Formentera. In today's episode, we're speaking with Emily and Jimmy about why this is some of their most urgent work yet, the return of Indie Sleaze, songwriting during COVID, living in a New York left with members of Yeah Yeah Yeahs & TV on the Radio, and if they play to visit Oz anytime soon.
