We're celebrating 200 episodes with Lauren Mayberry from CHVRCHES! The Scottish electronic pop trio are returning to Australian shores in December to ring in the new year at Falls Festival and Heaps Good Festival. They're bringing their brilliant fourth record 'Screen Violence' with them, which uses horror imagery to address some of everyday lifes more dark subject matter. In today's episode, we're speaking with Lauren about the love affair that Australia has with the band, what scary movies she can tolerate, how the band changed their songwriting method during the pandemic, what fans can expect at Falls, and why sad happy songs hit best.
