Episode description

When most people begin their weight loss journey, diet and exercise are the two main changes that people focus on improving to get the results they desire. However, stress is one of the most overlooked factors in the weight loss equation. Not only does stress cause a cascade of hormonal deterrents to weight loss, it also makes you make bad decisions when it comes to food choices.

To help us navigate this cycle of stress, we invited April Likins to the show. April is a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach trained at both Duke Integrative Medicine and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Driven by her own health struggles of battling Lyme Disease and Endometriosis, she’s extremely passionate about helping empower women to optimize their health by reducing their stress levels, and finding balance in order to start nourishing their bodies from the inside out.
