Kennedy is perhaps one of the greatest conspiracy theories to ever take hold in the American consciousness and is perhaps the birth of the modern day conspiracist. It represents the loss of America's innocence (how many times has that been lost now?), and proved that even the most protected person in the country could be killed, in broad daylight, not only in public, but as the center of the public's attention.
