Good morning. Well, Welcome to this morning with her. having coffee. I am. In fact having coffee. I am. Sydney. Hovis. I'm here with my husband. Ryan Hovis
Good morning.
This is the last episode of 2022. That we're recording here,
Which is weird because it feels like we just started this.
know.
That's the last one of this year. It's also like the third. So.
well, You know, this. end of the year, here was a good time to kind of jump into it and get our feet wet and figure out what the fuck we're doing. And it's been a lot of trial and error and figuring things out. And I think we're getting the hang of it now. So. I'm excited for what 2023 is going to bring in terms of our. podcasting and our listenership. And a lot of things that we're doing. Here in life. So. I think going forward, we're going to start releasing episodes regularly on Tuesdays.
That's something that we talked about Tuesday mornings. setting schedules. And routines. that better serve us. And getting our shit together, you know?
End of year planning.
That's true.
We're moving forward.
It's true. I got a planner. For next year. I'm very excited
The world's largest planner. In fact,
I don't think that's its claim to fame.
I thought it was like a Guinness book record.
No.
I think is huge.
It is pretty big, but it. has all kinds of, uh, Checklists. for near Daily tasks. And. spring cleanings and holidays and all of that stuff. So. that's pretty exciting.
Maybe we go on vacation. this year, who knows?
vacation this year, but we'll
We didn't go to Anywhere this year.
No, we didn't. Last year 2021 who had done to Florida.
Two weeks. Two weeks in Florida. Waking up to sit on the balcony, having coffee.
I can
shed a tear right now.
Yeah. Yeah, wouldn't that be nice. This morning With her having coffee. on the balcony. And Florida. Listen to me the way.
We'd have to pick a lotta.
That pool was fucking amazing. It was a grotto.
He has one of those salt water pools.
So much better. It
doesn't hurt your eyes.
It
was nice.
That's amazing.
Hot tub, flus, water flows into the pool. That's my favorite. On the hot tub water flows into the pool.
a waterfall at the other end.
That's right.
God. 12 degrees outside right now. I don't know if I can talk about this anymore. It might send me into a depression.
Yeah, you got to tell Jeff to put that house again.
Yeah, I'd love to. I was near St. Augustine. St. Augustine is beautiful. I really want to go to Disney though. And love to take the kids. You can't take wagons. In though. So.
I know our wonderful.
Yeah. We have a, we have a Wonderful. Lagan and. You're not able to take them into Disney. So that's
is a shame, you know,
Really have
against the wagon community. versus The stroller community.
Right. Discrimination. You know,
It's a nice wagon. I don't understand why they won't let you take it in.
It's an amazing wagon. It's really given us a lot of life. Having three kids. four and under. We can load them up into the wagon. and take them anywhere in how. Before it was a little more difficult.
As long as they stay in. Yeah. Ran likes to walk. Yeah. He's
And I've friends walking there and Rowan has to walk.
Right. He just has to do anything. Written to us,
Right. And he's really in that
runs four and thinks that he's 13. So.
Yeah, he's a genius though. He told me the other day.
Yeah, somebody is really been stroking that kid's ego. He thinks he's on top of the world.
up. I mean, we all do, but.
I mean, he is incredibly smart.
I mean, he is.
And it's fine. Everybody. That meets him and that.
it. He says the funniest stuff. I don't know where he finds it. It comes up with it.
He was. I think he was getting a present from. Grammy yesterday. It was the easy bake oven. and He was like, he was rubbing his eyes. Like I can't believe my eyes. Like, this is amazing. I can't believe my eyes.
The other night when you were trying to get him to bed. and he wanted mini muffins and you told him he could have All the mini muffins, the following morning. And He was like, you mean I can be the mini muffin queen.
I don't know where he got that from either. But I told him, you know, at shore queen king, prince. You know, whatever you want to be. But. Sure you can have all the mini muffins tomorrow.
Yes, he's. he's. an incredible little person.
He doesn't forget anything. He hears everything. and he never forgets it.
he doesn't. I remember Last year when you bought him that giant sword. foam sword. It was like four feet tall. And you were like, man, this thing was only $22. And he went around for days and told people it was only $22.
recall months later. I'm like, how much was that big sword? It was $22.
Well, here's a plug. We. didn't get paid for it, but here's a plug for
the big foam
big foam soars, $22. Was a
Legend of Zelda master sword. Replica. $22.
You hear that? Click clacking on the floor.
Do you hear the click clack?
Let me tell you. Okay. So. Christmas, let's talk. about Christmas So. Christmas day, we gave those dogs. Bones. They haven't had bones in a very long time. Because apple takes all of them. And then all of barks at her because she doesn't have any bones. So no. No,
no, no. Sometimes all of has one. But then she like forgets. that she has one. And she sees that apple has one. And so she yells at her
whatever it is. they had bones for the first time. in a Very long time. And Christmas night, Sunday night. I thought we took them all away. Apparently we didn't. And all fucking night long. All I heard were their fucking nails on the floor. Their nails need cuts so bad. And I'm afraid to do it. I groomed them the other day before Christmas. but I am afraid to cut their nails because one time Apple's nail split. So I haven't done it, but they're very, very long. and she would not lay down.
She kept pacing around with her fucking bone. And then all live was following her around because she wanted the bone to all of nails were right behind apples. ALS And that's all I heard. all night. Online. Today I
heard as well. I
No, you didn't. No, you fucking Dick.
the, the hitting,
Yeah,
you you'd hit me and be like, pick the dogs up from them, like put them back on the bed. ER. Tell him to go to bed.
Yeah, well,
There were several times where you woke me up in the middle of the night.
I mean, that's pretty common though. I know
last time I had to get up. Good. Ann's room. Get the baby swing. Bring it back in here.
even use it.
doesn't even use it. You still woke me up in the middle of my sleep. Had me get up, put my glasses on. We go into his
tossing and turning so bad. He wouldn't lay down and, uh, So I went, I wanted you to go to the sink And then as soon as you got back with it, he was like, I'm good now. And he went. So. Needed.
Perfect.
Uh, I love you. So, how was your Christmas?
It was good. It's a good Christmas.
Yeah, kids slept. The hay.
It was a literal Christmas miracle. That Rowan. And Ren slept. After nine o'clock in the morning.
did not get out of their beds all night.
Historic Rowan has never slept that long.
Yeah.
He's never slept that late into the
year,
Historic night. Amazingly, nobody got up in the middle of the night. And nobody was up before nine o'clock in the morning. It was a Christmas miracle. That's the only way I can.
Yeah. I almost wonder if they had so much interaction with people. That's it really just leave me alone.
Maybe they went to bed. It was probably like. 10 o'clock.
And he was closer to 11. It was pretty late. Usually that
doesn't stop rolling though. No matter what time he goes to bed. he's up at like six. Six or seven.
Yeah, well, We're working on it.
But yeah. What a Christmas miracle that was.
To
wake up. on my own. To get out of bed. Because I wanted to get out of bed. Pour some coffee. It was just.
It was
It was amazing.
Yeah. And we got some new pillows. So our bed is much more comfortable.
All right. We got a new bed pillows, the couch pillows.
Just a small thing. Made life way more comfortable. That's what
it's about.
Yeah.
life comfortable. Wren said it was the best Christmas ever.
Which you got sometimes
he's a little dramatic.
But.
I felt that. they had a good Christmas. morning, you know, Santa brought them. The things that they wanted. I mean, Rowan didn't finish opening his gifts until like
three
o'clock in the afternoon. because
You'd
open one. I'm like, this is awesome. This is why I love this. I'm gonna play with it. And then he would not open anything else for awhile.
I think they're in a good Christmas.
I agree. That's what it's all about. Yeah,
we didn't go. overboard this year.
No.
And kept it to the.
the things that they'd actually use.
Or one. Or play with. And that blue house has gotten a ton of use already. I think he loved the
house. has also turned into a Horse house. because the horse set, somebody got Rowen. You know, the horses moved in. Oh, It's getting a lot of play.
That's very nice. And while this morning, Rowan. I went over to mom's house. Very excited.
He was he, so he fell asleep obviously on the way up there. And then I got him out of the van. We went up and as soon as I. dropped him. At the floor. When we walked in, he took his hat off, unzipped his coat, took his coat off, sat down, took his shoes off. And he went right over to that train table.
I started
playing. got everything off that he needed to went right over and started playing.
It's a Good. Christmas, right? A lot of food. All right.
just had some leftovers.
A lot of food.
Before we started this. Hey, there were like three Turkey breasts.
60 pounds
of stuffing. I think. Tons of stuffing.
I did a lot of cooking.
We did some baking too.
With
the. cookies and rice crispy treats. And.
Yeah, an apple pie.
Apple pie.
I made it homemade apple pie.
That's right from scratch.
That's right.
Very impressive.
Thank you.
It was all delicious.
Thank you. think everybody brought one dish.
Your
lot of food. A lot of cleaning.
There was a lot of cleaning. I feel like I did the majority of it.
I'm cleaning a lot as I went.
you. Did you were it wasn't until everybody else got here, the chaos started into, but. You're doing well in the morning. That's for sure.
I've been doing much better. at cleaning up after myself. As I go.
Which is important.
Yeah.
Clean kitchen. Clean as you go. That's the secret.
So. Only a couple more days left to the year.
So, how was your 2022. A lot happened? You know, you want to talk about year in review. Yeah.
Yeah. We
had a third child this
year. Oh, my
Isn't that crazy to think about. We started the year. Without candles. He wasn't here. Well, he was in your belly.
That's true.
but we didn't have him.
We had a whole nother baby. We ran a state Senate campaign. We started this podcast.
Right. I started using her companies.
It's certainly been interesting.
It's crazy how fast it all went.
my God. I know.
Thinking about it.
Life. And this year. The end of this year, it looks much different. Then it did. A year ago, a year ago. right. Our living room is half painted.
It's three fourths payments. Okay. There's one wall. That's not paying the
your house. Looks different.
that's why I forgot.
To free my paint brushes.
precious.
You son of a bitch. I asked you where my stuff was. And you said it was in the laundry room.
I just, I forgot the paintbrushes. I went there. I got, uh, our basement lights. I forgot paintbrushes.
So I can't paint.
about the painting. That's what reminded me.
I was planning. Getting up when we're done with this and I'll
have to go back out.
am painting.
So I go back out. You. Pick up the toys off the living room floor, but. I'll have to go back out and get paint brushes.
You could have just gotten while you were there. I mean, there was two things, two things you needed. Just two things. Light bulbs. and paint
See The problem is you didn't send me a reminder. That's that's that's the problem.
I needed to send you a reminder for. Two things. It
was more than two. things.
For light bulbs. Sorry, paint brushes. I have
light bulbs. Ma'am. Five. And then three pain pressures. I forgot the paintbrushes.
Two skews. Okay. Just two skews is what we needed.
Well, I'll have to run back out. Luckily. the ACE in town is two minutes away. So it'll be a 10 minute trip.
When did you put gas in the car?
I did. I did. have to stop and put gas in the car.
Okay. Anyhow.
I figured. We'll probably be.
I don't
know, we're probably going places this week. We had
Got
to Pittsburgh Friday for my appointment.
Now your steps.
Right.
we're also going to Phipps this week. I think.
I don't know if we are not.
They have tickets. We will. So.
sounded like they did not have tickets.
Well, we'll find out. Alright, well, I'm sure that the listeners don't want to hear us talk about our schedule. So. 2022. What surprised you the most?
Probably the state Senate campaign. I didn't think that's what we were going to go this
year. So
was probably a big surprise. I was going to ask, what was your favorite part But we had a child. It has to be that right.
right.
Has to be having him
Right. I mean, having him. just not my favorite part, but.
Wasn't it. Terrible hospital stay though.
I couldn't wait to get out of there.
but we. Very quick. We weren't there. We'll get there like two days.
30, six hours.
Right.
Yeah.
amazingly. Yeah. We
We had to
we got
36 hours. That was the minimum. And
we're out of there.
now, That was impressive. My two other kids at home. I wasn't too worried about staying. Alright.
They weren't, they were just giving you meals. I feel like I lost. Two children. First, two children. Yeah. Order something for you in order something for me for, for meals.
And this time.
Like they're giving you meals and they're like, you can go pay the cafeteria downstairs. You can leave the room. Good. Out of the cafeteria and pay for food. Yeah. Which is like, Hospital cafeteria pizza.
We order it. Applebee's though.
That's right. We did order Applebee's. The one, one meal, because the food was just. Subpar. who's subpar hostile food.
food, right. But Hey. We didn't have to stay too long. So.
No. But I feel like. I guess nothing will ever live up to wrens delivery.
they
fed us well. They're even giving you like extra food. On top of that. And then when we. Then at the end, they give us like a, a nice meal. A nice dinner. They had brought in like a table and chairs. and stuff.
Yeah.
a whole setup for us. It was real nice.
Yeah. it was nice. It was wonderful Having written. It was a wonderful hospital. Stay.
And was
Having him though is not enjoyable.
That might've been the last time I've had Giovanni's pizza. I almost forgot what it tastes like at this point.
Yeah. Four
years.
I've seen too. many mice in there though. It's just too.
They don't put the mice in the oven. That's where the pizza goes.
Yeah, but. it was a tough delivery. And he had the cord wrapped around his neck, which was
twice. Who's twice wrapped.
No choose one of the scariest moments of my entire life. I
didn't even comprehend what was going on. And by the time I did. That the doctor had had fixed it. And everything was fine.
No. I think My heart stopped for a second. Cause he wasn't Crying or anything, It was just. see the cord. I had
no idea what was happening and by.
Twice wrapped
by. the time I understood what had happened. It was all hunky, Dory. Everything was fine.
Terrifying.
He didn't want to leave.
Ah, geomatics run through. Which
could explain. You know, the like, 17 hour labor or whatever. It was, he was just, he did not want to leave.
Very long time. He strapped himself in.
Which like 14. It was
all
natural. It wasn't. until. like 14 hours in that you were like, all right. I'll take a little assistance here.
Yeah. It was a very long time. And I wasn't progressing.
Yeah. all fairy, like early morning. births though.
No. It was afternoon.
Was he. I don't think so.
I'm trying
to remember.
For something in the afternoon.
I don't think so.
It's hard
to remember things. So many things to remember. I can't remember paintbrushes. And that was like an hour ago.
Really didn't feel like Christmas this year. You know, I've been trying to put my finger on it. And It's weird because I'm seeing everywhere. where people are saying the same thing. You know, My friends and family on Facebook. or Facebook groups. where I'm. Part of where there's thousands of People commenting. and. Um, Even. On the news and. Just all over the place. Really. People are saying, it just doesn't feel like Christmas. It's hard to believe it. It's already over. and. I went so fast.
For us. you know, Well, yeah, the election this year and there was. Six months. of. Nothing about election cycle. It was really hard. I think. To come out of that. and. Break into Christmas mode. It was really hard between. November and. Now to. Really feel. Festive. We didn't have enough time to do anything. And. I mean, you get lights out outside in. I get to finish. painting the living room. even. I mean, there's a
a lot. of things,
We hardly decorated.
Right.
No, you had like one day of decorating and then put all the other boxes in the basement. And just didn't even touch it.
Yeah, it kind of seemed like everything was. Almost last minute. It felt like
I did. And then we were sick. And, uh, Yeah, Colvin. Hit close to home and. It's Just. there are so many things this year that. I think it's been really hard for us to establish. Traditions. Over the last few years. You know, since I lost my grandma. Our hope. Christmas. Day Christmas season. always revolved around her. So starting these new. Traditions It's been really difficult. It's been a really difficult few years.
And I think a lot of people are feeling that, you know, a lot of people have also lost family members. Especially those. lost them to COVID unexpectedly. We lost my pap pap. In 2020. two years ago. I think it's really. It's going to take a long time. You know, I, I don't want to say it's just because of the pandemic. But I think that the world is unknown. Really. Weird place right now. In a state of flux and. and. inflation made everything so expensive this year. And. That is the reality.
I. I was shocked by prices, honestly.
Yeah. It's just a weird time. Time in history.
It is, and everything went so quickly. and.
That's it it's over.
Right.
It's already gone
It's just not. Enjoy. like there used to eat. It feels like. There's not time to enjoy it.
Maybe that's adulthood.
Is it.
Maybe. Maybe that's what. everybody's collectively realizing as
oh fuck. We're adults.
The last. Generation. didn't have social media and the way that we do
right.
So I feel like there's like a collective. Like. the last generation that they couldn't be like, you know, I feel this way. And somebody in California is like, Hey, I feel this way too. And You're able to get all these. conversations from people everywhere. You know, in an instant in
It's really an interesting thought.
So that everybody is collectively as we are all. Aging.
So that's my question then. Is it, uh, Adulthood or is it just. the world.
Well, my opinion is that it's mostly adulthood. I think there are worldly factors. Being like, yeah, I'll post. Uh, pandemic, I guess we can call it post pandemic. It's still around, but. You know, it's not like lockdowns and stuff.
Yeah. I would also like, We couldn't afford to buy. as many. Gifts as we wanted to, we couldn't.
Right. But.
share.
I mean clearly.
But I feel like
people are more.
that we had in this house was. It felt like Christmas.
There's also 2019. We were also 23.
What does that have to do with anything?
four years of past, we've got three children. We're juggling a lot of things or adults. That's. Yeah, what I'm getting at. It's there's a lot more. Outside factors. influencing ourselves then. there would have been four years ago, eight years ago. Holidays for us. Aren't just these. Joyous times where we get gifts and stuff. you know, There's a lot of other factors being in adult. that goes into it. And I think.
I suppose, I mean, life didn't just stop in December for us We still have. a ton of. Work to do. And
We spent like. Christmas Eve. The day before that. And the day before that, The day before that there was like four days in a row where all we did once.
Cooking. Clean and.
But there were four days. They were like four days. Before Christmas, leading up to Christmas that we spent cleaning and cooking and last minute shopping and last minute grocery getting. and there, there was a figure four day period.
Groceries incomes. Bullshit.
we were rushing around getting things in order. It's not like we were just laying around watching Christmas movies with a clean house and.
Yeah, hopefully. You know, like four years from now, we can. Start to enjoy it more. It's the kids are a little bit bigger.
And then, you know, we'll be able to play games without. Having Rohan put pieces in his mouth or.
Watch movies.
Watch movies where they actually sit and watch them.
Nam things are hard right now, though. And I think that was apparent in Christmas.
right.
I mean, it was really kind of miserable for us.
But I think a lot of people feel that same way. I think. People have gotten. I don't know if I want to say. poor or. But
Income. Inequality has certainly grown.
Right. so I think there's a lot of people, a lot of people. in our age bracket. You're in similar situations.
Yeah.
And so When you have social media, like we have, and like these groups that you're in that you're seeing that everybody's like, Hey. Yeah, Christmas, ain't going, it used to be. This, this sucks.
Socioeconomic impacts.
Right. There's a reason for that. It's not just, well, Everybody thinks it's not what it used to be. there's reasons for that. I think some of those are economical. And I think some of those are. stress-related. And, you know, you're not 12 years old anymore. life. gets difficult. Before, you know, it.
It's interesting. I mean, I think It was a very interesting. Point. To discuss. Yeah, we're working on it, but everybody else is too.
Right. You're
And what do we do? Like what do we do about those things? You know, how do we. How do we
do we, solve income inequality? That's the question.
Well, there's people that are trying, but, uh,
But that's the thing. I
Fucking billionaires and Republicans.
Right, but I think that's the difference. It was that this generation, like we're able to communicate those things to each other in a very easy way. Versus the last. generation. You weren't able to have those. Easy conversations across the globe.
Certainly, but, you know, it's. Amazing. to me that you can. Utilize that technology. and that inner Connectivity. To highlight. those issues, but Nobody is effectively. utilizing it to solve them. Tim same.
Right. Let me, I see what you're saying, but. how do we solve them?
well, their solution. Nobody wants to listen to them more put in the effort to try. because if we all were to band together
Well, I think in order you have to have income
grab. I grabbed the fucking
have to have those at the top willing to. You have not have as much as they have.
Well, Right. But, uh, right now they're funding, Republicans is what they're doing. to
They have money and they would like to keep sending money.
So they want the Republicans to win and. Continuing to put forth policies that.
People want to talk. that, people want to talk about Jeff Bezos. And like, yeah. But one of the most richest beings on the planet. Like, yeah.
not even on the planet all the time. He. He sometimes fucks off to space.
the thing, but like clearly the guy could afford to pay all of his employees probably. At least the double or triple what? He probably pays them now. And it's a drop in the bucket. But why would you do that? You could just keep that money. And I get like he's pledged now to like start giving money away But you have to have people at the top willing to. Cut themselves down To give to others. they have to make their pie smaller to make everyone else's pie bigger. People with big pieces of pie.
don't want to give up their pie.
I don't have a big pie.
We have a small piece of the pie. Yes. But the point being. you can't increase your. Size of the pie without making somebody else's size of the pie smaller. And then you get into taxing the rich and that whole thing. Which is why I think you see a lot of. Uh, liberals were like, Hey. The rich need to start paying their fair share. And. there's some reason behind that because most of these people like Jeff basis. Don't pay
Elon Musk. Trump.
They get out of paying taxes. And I will always remember the debate between Trump and Hillary or Hillary was like, he doesn't pay anything in taxes. And Trump was like, Yes, because I'm smart. And you like. all these people in in Congress and in. the Senate, like you can change these tax laws, but your donors benefit from those same tax laws. And that's the problem, Because the people with big pieces of pie want to keep big pieces of pie.
Right.
And he wasn't wrong about that. That's the thing.
I'm sure
he wasn't paying in taxes and you and I pay taxes and. our neighbors pay taxes and. But it's the rich people. Who have most of the money don't pay taxes because there's ways around. having
I mean, that's the truth. Aye. I will give Donald Trump. that credit. There were things that Donald Trump didn't said that. We're true. And that's what clenched the people. He came out of the palace and he. told him what. was going on. inside and he went right the fuck back in and everybody cheered him for it. came, never held him accountable
and was like, look at what these people are doing.
Of the debauchery.
Right. And that's why he's still fighting to keep his tax returns secret.
And that right there is the problem.
Right. He, he is, uh, an insider who came out and said, this is what we're doing in here. But I'm not the only one doing it. And that's the problem. in order to. Give everybody else more. Some people have to have less.
But. The people that. Loved him. They're not going out there. and taking back any of it. They're not.
Well, no, somehow.
him to do for them.
right. But somehow they're still have the impression that like, Trickle down economics. is the way to go there. Like you, you keep giving these billionaires more money. Eventually I'm going to see something right. That's that's the hope right? And I think. At least by now. That's not true. Yeah, we've seen the Trump tax cuts. We've seen. Yeah, lots of things. And you give billionaires money. And they keep That's the thing. Trickle down does not work.
And that's why I think, you know, there's so many people. I mean, I'm sure there's other reasons. But no. The student loan forgiveness. Like, Hey, if we just give these people at the bottom. we forgive some of these student loans. we're going to help a lot of people we're going to help. A lot of people get out of debt. We're going to help a lot of people. be able to buy homes and buy cars and they're going to stimulate the economy. Is the idea.
Right.
But you have people. that are also like wall. Why are we giving people at the bottom freebies? But, we'll see if it works. You. If it eventually goes through. I got my email confirmation. A little while ago though. Let's say that I was approved for it. following the outcome because they said that the Supreme court was going to hear it in February. This is what I got in my update.
They're assholes though. So, We shall
That's a different. That's a different topic though. Supreme court. Uh, that's, that's a whole other topic.
Yeah, I commend Briar for stepping down.
That's the thing you gotta know when to step down. Uh, because if you don't. Yeah, we ended up in situations like.
Trump getting three appointees,
Exactly. You gotta be strategic about it.
Yeah. I get that a lot of people are upset about the student. loan situation because. There was money given away. And no structural changes made. So it's not like they.
also have people who did not go to college. Like they're not giving 10 to $20,000.
Right.
And like, is that fair? if you had somebody who. what out of high school.
it fair that billionaires just didn't get to pay any taxes. They just got off the hook. No, it's not fucking fair. Life's not
take somebody in that situation, like. It's not fair for billionaires. It's not fair that, you know, these people are getting 10, $20,000 loans taken away. Like what do I get? And we tell them nothing. You get nothing. And so like, I get that. That's not fair. And they're, you know, they're not billionaires who aren't paying taxes. They're you're middle-class people who are paying taxes. And tell them, well, some of that tax money. Is going to go to these people over here.
Because we're going to forgive some of their loans. And you still get nothing. And. I could understand how someone could be upset with that. I don't think they should be. but I could understand the logic behind being upset with that.
Right, but the E. People need to understand that. There are going to be. Benefits to things that might not. Benefit you directly. Right. away.
goes back to the idea that these people who, you know, may have college degrees maybe. The, with this student loan, forgiveness, aunts, and that's not a large amount of money. Let me tell you. Like sorry, you hear 10 to $20,000. And that sounds like a lot of money, but for student loans, Right. That's not a lot of money
at. Really. all that's doing is paying off. The people who maybe got an associates degree or. Um, went for a couple of years. and didn't finish their degree. and they're not making any more money,
you've got a bachelor's degree or anything higher. 10 to $20,000. is nothing, especially there's. I mean, there's schools you can go to that are $20,000. Like a year or a semester, like, It's not a lot of money.
Right.
But yeah. Ideally it will be enough to relieve some people. who then be able to get
some people who have a small amount
cars or houses.
Right. A small amount of student loans that. Are being held back because they can't afford those things that will stimulate the economy, but that's like being angry. That they're building a road. on the other side of town. Because we're not going to use that. road like that. Doesn't.
Right. And then That's what I mean? like, I don't think. That people should be upset about it. But I could understand their logic behind it.
I'm being angry that they were Clough all the roads in
with people who are like, well, I paid my student loans off. Why. are these people getting a break with their student loans? I paid mine. And. Yeah, you should want. You should understand how it was difficult for you to pay those loans and how it'd be easier for someone else would be a good thing. you know, to not have to go through that. It would be a good thing for people cause you should want better for others. you shouldn't want to be like, well, I suffered, so now you suffer.
It's your turn.
It's really fucked up mentality. Right.
I mean, I could, I that's why. I can understand the logic of someone thinking that way, but you shouldn't think that way it's a very negative, pessimistic way to, to look at it.
Right. I want better for our children then. What we have.
Right. And so we, we shouldn't. We shouldn't want them to go through the same. Hard times that we ourselves have gone through.
Yeah, hard times, baby.
easy on the dusty roads right now. Right.
These are hard times. I, if you reach out your hand, And I will reach out my hand. And our hands, we will, we will touch hands. And You will know. These, these are hard times.
Very good. I know you've watched it a lot.
I did. I practiced. Whew. There you go pop up. There's your woo. I think our child might actually. be a wrestler. Rowan man. he's wild like macho man.
He has. He will jump off of everything. He, He grapples he's ready to wrestle. He will bite
Yeah. He is, he's got the showmanship, He's got this stage presence. He's got it all. Um, I don't know if we should tell this story. but I'm going to, so the other day, pop, pop. Took them to a play place in Pittsburgh. where they have that the tubes and the. All kinds of.
ball pits. Yeah. just for kids to be able to run around. I believe he, you, you can drop off your kids, go do some shopping. Yeah, they'll keep an eye on them. Right. And all I do is run around and jump on, jump around and getting the ball pits. There's all sorts of toys and whatnot.
My pop-up stayed with the two of them. And there was another little boy there. who was dropped off. And That little boy would not let our Two little boys. running Rowan into. the bounce house.
He was guarding the bounce house. Kicking and pushing and telling them that nobody could enter the bounce house. And while Wren. Thought that it was just a game, you know, he was. Yeah. He's lighthearted. He's fun. And he's like, okay. Um, I mean, he kept playing. Rowan. on the other hand. was like, I'm going to get in this fucking bounce house. If it's the last thing I do.
Rowan does not. Um, play by anybody. Else's. rules. He marches to his own beat. He always has. He always will. And he was going to do what he wanted to do. So. Rowan. I was going to get into that bounce house.
And so in that. Kim kicked, kicked out his leg.
Rohan Dodge, the kick. Came in from the side and. bit him right on the fucking side of the calf. like a real fucking
and made the kid cry. And then I assume went into the bounce house.
But Rowan are two year old versus the five or six year old kid. who was being a bully. And Rowan took them down.
I think it's a good story. I think it's funny. Like don't, don't be a bully.
If we're sued from this now by. That kid's parents. Well,
Sorry. Your kid, you know, You can't block the. The play area of, from kids from playing. That's not very nice.
No. And he tried to kick our son.
Right. And. Pop-up got video evidence. He recorded a bit of the interaction before the bite. 'cause he said. You know, he might need. Need evidence of what this kid was doing, because he was preventing them from getting in by trying to push them or kick them to keep them. Away from the entrance. And he knew that it was probably going to go south. As he verbally warned the kid, like, Hey, you probably shouldn't do that. Um, and then Rowan had his moment where he took matters into his own hands.
or, or mouth. And. you know, taught the kid a lesson, like, Hey. Yeah, don't stop me. From playing.
He certainly did. So that's our. Macho man in the making. So for Christmas. Maga. Pop-up a picture of. I ran and Rowan. the world's greatest wrestlers. And candles there. referee. pop up there, coach.
Manager. Managers
Oh, I'm sorry.
Yeah, wrestlers have managers. That's. the, he would have been a manager.
Excuse me.
Uh, coach. You're a quote, dusty Rhodes. But you're going to talk about coaches.
He's going to be my manager. I need a manager.
For what? You can be a wrestler too.
Just the life Yeah.
I think you've got to pay for those. I think those are called executive assistance.
Mary you for then.
