Meet Monica. As a self-proclaimed "fixer of people", she would find solace, relief and begin her healing journey in the rooms of Al-Anon. And what a journey it's been! Her story begins the week after Thanksgiving when her son-in-law called stating, "I can't find her" (implying her daughter was missing). Subsequent calls were about to ensue to the hospitals, jails and so on - when the walls came crashing down in the worst, most unexpected ways. The tragedies of this disease are as varied as the number of people impacted. Horrific. Distressing. And yet, even in the midst of the worst, God comes shining through in the most unexpected ways, with FORGIVENESS at the heart of it for us all.
